GLOBAL ESTEEM opened his account over hurdles with a victory in novice company at Market Rasen. The runner-up has subsequently boosted that form and there looks to be more to come from Fergal O'Brien's inmate. O'Brien also runs Shelikesthelights, who has having her first outing since April when finding only one too good at Worcester latest, while Quaresome reverts to this shorter trip with a shout.

Fergal O'Brien's SHELIKESTHELIGHTS rates just the pick of the weights and is likely to strip fully fit after his Worcester second following an absence so gets the vote. Alan King's Zodiac Star arrives at the top of his game and seems sure to be on the premises, while in-form duo Quaresome and Global Esteem also need factoring into this open handicap.

The opener might go to QUARESOME, who is likely to be well suited by this sharp, right-handed track and is on a workable mark.

SCOTTIE'S SISTER took a step forward over hurdles when runner-up at Newton Abbot. The winner was rated 102, so that looks solid form and she can go one better. Sheila Tequila was no match for the winner when second at Plumpton, but that was her first start over timber and she can have a say with improvement forthcoming, while Holywell is a half-sister to a winning hurdler and is a newcomer to note.

HOLYWELL is a relative of a fairly useful hurdler for the stable, which does well in this sphere, particularly with newcomers, so she's fancied to get the better of Scottie's Sister, who has had plenty of experience relative to the others. Tricky To Attract also makes plenty of appeal on paper.

A few of these are of interest but SCOTTIE'S SISTER stuck to her task well when second last month and gets the nod.

RICKETY BRIDGE made a winning debut over hurdles when successful at Southwell back in March. The five-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement this season and Paul Nicholls' inmate is taken to make a wining reappearance. Mostly Sunny returns to this level with a chance, though carries a 12lb penalty having landed a double during the summer, while Pethers Run has placed in a couple of point-to-points and could give a good account on his debut under Rules.

RICKETY BRIDGE made fairly hard work of it when making a successful debut over hurdles at Southwell in March, but it was under difficult conditions after all, and his fairly useful bumper form suggests he should be up to defying a penalty in a race of this nature. Mostly Sunny will surely pose the biggest threat if bouncing back from a poor effort at Worcester 12 days ago.

Preference is for RICKETY BRIDGE, who made a good start to his hurdling career in March. Mostly Sunny is the obvious danger.

A return to form for ISABELLA BEE would make her difficult to beat. Fergal O'Brien's charge was a comfortable winner over the extended 2m at Worcester in August before disappointing when a remote third over the same track and trip last month but, should she return to form, the seven-year-old will be a tough nut to crack. The consistent The Gypsy Davey is the main danger, while Itso Fury arrives here on a workable mark.

ISABELLA BEE was a shade disappointing on her most recent start, yet she'd previously looked one to keep on side when successful in good style at Worcester in August. She's worth another chance to get back on the up returned to this longer trip. The Gypsy Davey, for all he's become expensive to follow, looks likely to make a bold bid in front. Just Loose Change is another to note on his chase debut.

Isabella Bee is respected but THE GYPSY DAVEY has been knocking on the door this season and gets the nod.

OLIVERS TRAVELS found one too good when beaten narrowly over 3m at Perth last month and a repeat of that effort will make him difficult to beat. Peter and Michael Bowen's charge has been raised 2lb in the ratings for that half-length second but that shouldn't prevent another bold showing. La Renommee should improve for her seasonal reappearance when she was fourth at Perth, while Topofthecotswolds heads the remainder.

OLIVERS TRAVELS is thriving and put up another bold showing despite the odd mistake at Perth last time. If he can put in a clearer round, he should have the measure of La Renommee, who is likely to strip fitter for her recent return over hurdles. The remainder have a bit to prove.

Preference is for three-time course winner LA RENOMMEE (nap), who ended last season with an excellent performance at Cheltenham.

BETHPAGE failed in her attempt to complete the four-timer when only making the frame at Worcester in July, but this looks a much easier assignment. Emma Lavelle's six-year-old is only 3lb higher and she can continue her rise in the handicap ranks. Sunday Soldier also had her winning sequence halted on her most recent outing, as she was well held in fourth at Perth in April, but she isn't one to write off. Mulberry Hill rates best of the rest.

JAMINSKA reappears on a fair-looking mark judged on the pick of her form and, with the step up in trip promising to suit, she's put forward as the answer. Sunday Soldier improved in leaps and bounds last season and shouldn't be judged too harshly on her final run at Perth given that came just 19 days on from a big effort in the mud, while Bethpage is another progressive mare who merits plenty of respect.

The pick is JAMINSKA, who was not quite at her best when we last saw her in the spring but resumes on a tempting mark.

I'D GO MANIAC made a strong impression when running out a five-and-a-half-length victor on his second bumper start at Market Rasen in July. Alan King's five-year-old now has a 7lb penalty to carry but, considering the manner of that success, he might be up to the task. Point-to-point winner Lady Kluck changed hands for 75,000 pounds and it would be no surprise to see her go well, while any market support for Batsman with Nico de Boinville booked should be noted.

Those with previous form set a fair standard and it could pay to side with point-scorer LADY KLUCK. She appeals as a likely type on paper for a yard boasting a healthy strike rate with their runners in this sphere so far this term and could be the way to go. Court In A Storm and Market Rasen winner I'd Go Maniac are others on the shortlist.

The 7lb penalty that I'D GO MANIAC incurs for winning at Market Rasen in July may not halt his progress. Lady Kluck is next best.
Ths is the racecard key.
