12:20 Ludlow (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TZARMIX showed much more when finishing third at Uttoxeter in June and that form gives him a big chance in a moderate event such as this. If he were to need the run, then Walkinthewoods would be the most likely beneficiary after his fourth at Hereford a month ago. The rest have questions to answer, but Aslukgoes is the clear pick of them.

The tentative suggestion is French chase winner JEU D'OPALE, who steps up in trip from a workable mark.

12:50 Ludlow (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HOPELESS DANCER placed in all three bumper starts and, while he was last of three on his hurdling debut here last month, the four-year-old is clearly the one to beat in a very weak contest. Miracles Do Happen disappointed in a bumper last time but is a player based on her previous efforts. The rest make very little appeal on recent evidence, but Estate Planning completes the shortlist.

Murky stuff and BARBIE GIRLZ gets a tentative vote receiving weight from all.

13:20 Ludlow (Class 3) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

TINY TETLEY struggled in a valuable novice chase on his fencing bow at Exeter last month but he should be more at home now back in handicap company. He was a neck second over timber off this mark at Haydock in May and he can be given another chance here. Jeffery's Cross is a touch high in the ratings right now but should not be discounted, while Straw Fan Jack is also considered.

None of these tick every box and in the circumstances it might be worth siding with FORTESCUE, whose local yard is in good nick.

13:50 Ludlow (Class 2) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER has returned to hurdles this autumn in fine fettle with victories over C&D and Huntingdon. This doesn't appear to be the strongest event for the grade and Fergal O'Brien's mare has an excellent opportunity to land a hat-trick. Walkadina wasn't disgraced on her return at Cheltenham and is entitled to step forward from that effort, while Belle Le Grand appeals most of the remainder.

The majority of these hold solid claims but TOUR OVALIE won this race last year and is surely primed for a repeat bid.

14:20 Ludlow (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

L'EMPIRE VERT fell at Hereford last week but the five-year-old returns to a venue where he had been successful on his chasing bow the time before. If showing no ill-effects from that mishap, Sheila Lewis' gelding has every chance to progress further. Similar comments apply to Devon Dude, who failed to complete at Chepstow and is likely to be suited by the drop to 2m. Disco Annie is another to consider.

This is trappy and a chance is taken that NORDIC TIGER can put last season behind him and come back to form on his first go over fences.

15:27 Ludlow (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Seven Stars ran with promise on her first start when third at Kempton in March and she is entitled to improve following wind surgery. However, the vote goes to a newcomer in the shape of JULIO COOLIO, who makes plenty of appeal being a half-sister to recent Grade 1 winner Romeo Coolio. For A Moment represents a stable who do very well in bumpers and she is considered, along with Frost Moon and Gowitdflow.

Seven Stars made a promising debut in March but it's easy to be seduced by the paper credentials of debutante JULIO COOLIO.
