The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Un Sens A La Vie found one too strong under a penalty at Kempton last month and despite setting a fairly useful standard, he might have to settle for a supporting role again. BRAS D'OR, who shaped with real promise on his hurdling bow at Cheltenham, could be the one. David Pipe's gelding, who runs in the famous green and gold, was actually beaten by Un Sens A La Vie in a point-to-point in October last year but should go very close on these terms. Others to note include Caspari and Unknown Entity.

With his Kempton run looking all the better now after last week's events UN SENS A LA VIE is taken to defy a penalty.

12/1(-33%) | (4) Lime Drop 12/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter on ground more testing than ideal; effective at 2m; admirably consistent. Did well last season and her Uttoxeter fourth was fair enough given the heavy ground. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (7/2 +22%)Lightning Flash |
7/2(+22%) | (7) Lightning Flash 7/2, Won by 4l off 106 at Chepstow three starts back; departed late when challenging and looked a big threat before falling in a handicap chase last time; effective at 2-2 1/2m, acts on soft and good ground; needs cleaner jumping. Running well and upsides Hypotenus when falling two out over C&D last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (11/2 +15%)Hypotenus |
11/2(+15%) | (5) Hypotenus 11/2, Caught late and ran to form after wind surgery but did too much too soon when beaten 2 1/4l off 114 here last time; second run after wind op; effective at 2m on a sound surface; well treated off an unchanged mark and could be tough to catch. Second here 23 days ago; same mark for this but in what's probably a better race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (200/1 -203%)Stormin Crossgales |
200/1(-203%) | (2) Stormin Crossgales 200/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Fakenham last time; enjoys making the running; effective at 2-2 1/2m; inconsistent and spring win form has not worked out. Last win came in a two-runner claiming chase; pulled up in both races for current yard. |

Three chase wins; back on a good mark should the new blinkers spark a revival. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AUTHOCELTIC has improved for the switch to fences and was quite taking when scoring at Wincanton last time. Representing Jane Williams' in-form stable, the five-year-old is taken to kick on and keep progressing through the handicap ranks. Homme D'Un Soir knows his way around here and is taken to at least hit the frame, while Lightning Flash isn't without a squeak.

A few with chances in a competitive handicap but AUTHOCELTIC looked a chaser to follow at Wincanton.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

POTTERSVILLE won a Clonmel bumper by eight lengths and, following a lacklustre hurdling debut at Newbury last month, she came good at Exeter and looked quite smart. Given the manner of that victory, Rebecca Curtis' mare looks up to successfully shouldering a penalty at this level. Gaelic Saint made a pleasing hurdling introduction at Warwick and is respected along with Crystal Spring.

The pair with the proven form in the book are Gaelic Saint and POTTERSVILLE, the latter a wide-margin recent Exeter winner.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 +33%)Destroytheevidence |
4/1(+33%) | (1) Destroytheevidence 4/1, Needed the run when finishing 20l third in a handicap chase at Chepstow on his latest start. Trainer in form. Off a short break and effective between 2½m and 3m but can be inconsistent. Has the form to feature and shaped as though his run in October would bring him on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/2 +25%)Hunter Legend |
5/2(+25%) | (3) Hunter Legend 5/2, Outpaced and made mistakes when well beaten in a handicap chase at Newbury last time, possibly finding the ground too quick. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (5/2 +38%)Rockinastorm |
5/2(+38%) | (6) Rockinastorm 5/2, Fell in a handicap chase at Cheltenham on latest start when beaten; should come on for that. Off a short break and effective at 3m, acts on any ground. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (33/1 -50%)Rapper |
33/1(-50%) | (4) Rapper 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Ascot on latest outing. Stays further, with 3m a minimum trip. Has been inconsistent and was regressing before a layoff. Changes headgear this afternoon but turns 12 soon and has too much to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

NEON MOON was back in the winning groove over 2m5f at Ascot last month and, as a previous C&D winner, David Pipe's gelding should have no problem going back up in trip. This is competitive, though, as there are a couple of fellow track-and-trip winners going to post in Ballycamus and Rockinastorm. Punters should also consider Hunter Legend and Destroytheevidence.

His last run was disappointing but HUNTER LEGEND makes plenty of his appeal on the strength of his previous run at Cheltenham.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Whitletts didn't live up to market expectations when introduced at Warwick last month and punters who keep the faith will be hoping she's improved plenty for it. Similar sentiments apply to Palma Springs, who represents another top yard but could only manage a moderate sixth at Huntingdon. With all that in mind, it could be worth chancing one of the newcomers and STROKE PLAY appeals most.

Nicky Henderson's STROKE PLAY is bred to have a future and she wouldn't need to be anything special to threaten on her debut.

8/1(+50%) | (7) Icare Colombe 8/1, Outpaced and needed the run on chase debut following wind surgery when comfortably held in a Warwick handicap chase last time. Second run after wind op; effective over 2 1/2m and should improve for chasing experience. Some promise over hurdles; not on his chase debut but it's still early days. |

6th (5) (22/1 -120%)Devon Dude |
22/1(-120%) | (5) Devon Dude 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase here last time; effective over 2-2 1/2m and fairly treated on hurdle form but needs to improve his jumping. Has only won a bumper but probably on a useful mark when it all clicks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (66/1 -100%)Est Illic |
66/1(-100%) | (11) Est Illic 66/1, Outpaced and failed to handle blinkers when well beaten in a handicap chase at Worcester last time. Absent for a long period; effective over 2 1/2-3m on soft or good ground; must prove ability remains after layoff. Dual chase winner but this 11yo now returns from another absence. |

|F| (4) (4/1 +0%)Regal Renaissance |
4/1(+0%) | (4) Regal Renaissance 4/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when 60l third in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time; may have found the ground too testing. Effective over 2 1/2m on decent ground; consistent prior to latest run. Stuck in the mud last time; back on her last winning mark and goes well here. |

|F| (1) (10/3 +58%)Lemoncello |
10/3(+58%) | (1) Lemoncello 10/3, Fell in a handicap chase at Exeter last time when looked a huge threat; effective over 2 1/2m and suited by cut. Well treated on French form and could win soon. He was making some headway when falling three out at Exeter. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Pep Talking had excuses when attempting to supplement his Wetherby triumph at Wincanton latest and the consistent seven-year-old could bounce back. FOLLOWCATO didn't get far on his chasing debut but he showed a bit more when sent off favourite last time. Should the addition of first-time cheekpieces sharpen him up, winning off this current mark looks well within range. Regal Renaissance is noted too.

Cases can be made for a few of these but DEVON DUDE will probably prove himself well handicapped sooner or later.

9/2(+18%) | (4) Masked Dance 9/2, Ran to form when beaten 3l off a mark of 114 at Uttoxeter last time after a short break. Effective at 2 1/2m on good ground; consistent performer and her mark looks about right. Usually gives her running and has been 4l or less away in her last three handicaps. |

2nd (1) (16/1 +0%)West To The Bridge |
16/1(+0%) | (1) West To The Bridge 16/1, Outpaced and comfortably held by a less exposed rival when contesting a handicap hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Enjoys making the running but is out of form; prefers 2 1/2m on easy ground but has dropped in weights. Veteran but wouldn't be too dismissive with the cheekpieces returning. |

3rd (6) (5/2 +38%)Walden |
5/2(+38%) | (6) Walden 5/2, Keen early but quickened well when benefiting from a positive ride at a sharp track, winning a Huntingdon handicap by 1 1/2l off 110 last time. Effective at 2 1/2m on good ground; unexposed in handicaps and at the trip, with form that has been franked and signs of further progress. Had to be game at Huntingdon ten days ago but escapes a penalty for that. |

4th (7) (28/1 -56%)Windsor Blue |
28/1(-56%) | (7) Windsor Blue 28/1, Made mistakes and found little when well held in a Bangor-on-Dee maiden hurdle last time. Effective at 2m5f on good ground but needs to improve to overcome a stiff opening mark. Best run on good ground; conditions could be an issue on this handicap debut. |

5th (2) (11/1 -69%)Inca De Lafayette |
11/1(-69%) | (2) Inca De Lafayette 11/1, Probably needed the run when beaten 9 1/2l in a Cheltenham handicap hurdle last time. Had been in good form before a long absence; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft or good ground and fairly treated, but may just need this. Did well after his previous wind operation and could feature despite his absence. |

6th (3) (100/1 -203%)Jet Of Magic |
100/1(-203%) | (3) Jet Of Magic 100/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster last time. Effective from 2m5f to 3m but currently out of form after lay off. Pulled up after a break on recent stable debut (3m) when a 40-1 chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (1/1 +38%)High Tea |
1/1(+38%) | (5) High Tea 1/1, Improved on handicap debut for a ready win, landing a Chepstow handicap by 4l off 105 last time. Trainer in good form; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft ground. The form of his debut run is working out well, and as a 3m point winner he could progress over further. Won decisively enough on his recent handicap debut to earn this 8lb higher mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

High Tea impressed when making a successful handicap debut at Chepstow last month and remains of considerable interest despite an 8lb rise, but WALDEN is fancied to complete a hat-trick. On target at Market Rasen in April before following up in a conditional riders' event at Huntingdon on his return, he escapes a penalty and looks sure to have more in the locker. The class-dropping Masked Dance is another to consider.

Recent winners HIGH TEA (nap) and Walden are standout contenders, with the selection no doubt very progressive.
Ths is the racecard key.
