A comfortable winner over C&D on her penultimate start before a creditable second over the same track and trip last time out, LONE STAR sets the standard and she can strike for a seventh career success. Runner-up on two of her last three starts, Clear Storm must enter calculations, along with Jumping Jupiter, who is a capable sort on his day.

Neil Mulholland's filly CLEAR STORM has been knocking on the door and could have some untapped potential over this new trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Narrowly denied over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time out, JACK N JONES is likely to be suited by going up in distance and she can get off the mark under Rules at the fourth time of asking. That may be at the main expense of Mohawk Chief, who has run well over C&D before and was a respectable second at Uttoxeter most recently. Built By Rossies should have more improvement to come on her second start for new connections, and she cannot be ruled out either.

This looks a good opportunity for Irish point winner JACK N JONES, who went down fighting over 2m1f on her hurdling debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GAME BEAAA continues to go from strength to strength since undergoing wind surgery, and a 13lb rise for her most recent easy success over C&D may not be enough to prevent her from landing the hat-trick. Stroll On By is a key player on his return to action, while Spot On Soph may be suited by the drop in distance.

The pick is PIECEDERESISTANCE, who kept on well for second in a tactical race at Fakenham last month and has slipped to a good mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having got the better of reopposing runner-up Conquer The Breeze over C&D in June, Prospect House was second over an extra quarter-mile here 18 days later. Peter Niven's charge warrants respect on the drop back in distance, but there is a sneaking suspicion that we've yet to see the best of TRAVELING SOLDIER. The seven-year-old has undergone a wind procedure since finishing second at Worcester last month and any improvement could enable a breakthrough victory.

Things finally fell right for CONQUER THE BREEZE (nap) at Hexham and he should be able to find another race back up just 2lb.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A drop back into class 3 company proved just the trick for last month's Worcester scorer PULL AGAIN GREEN and he makes plenty of appeal once again. A 3lb rise in the ratings for the nine-year-old looks far from insurmountable and a brace may beckon. Yccs Portocervo arrives on the back of a good second in a hunter chase at Newton Abbot and warrants consideration reverting to handicap company, along with fellow in-form rival Nickelforce.

The suggestion is YCCS PORTOCERVO, a C&D winner last summer who posted a respectable RPR in his recent hunter chase.

2nd (7) (10/3 +5%)La Quarite |
10/3(+5%) | (7) La Quarite 10/3, Improved from debut but let down by jumping at key stages 8 1/2l third in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Stratford most recent run; good mark on hurdle form; could go well at a price if stamina holds up 0-12 over hurdles; no great improvement since chasing for new yard; big step up in trip. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (4/1 -33%)Top Of The Bay |
4/1(-33%) | (3) Top Of The Bay 4/1, Outpaced, rallied, improved back over fences needing every yard of the longer trip landing a handicap by a short-head off 95 over 2m3f here last time; in the mix if stamina holds up Generally very solid for new yard; won last two races on good ground (2m5f/2m3f); new trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CAVE ARTICLE was the comfortable winner of two of his last three starts and has a good chance of adding to the tally. The Christian Williams-trained six-year-old stays well, handles the forecast going and is too progressive to ignore. Top Of The Bay, a winner over 2m3f here most recently, and La Quarite are respected but have stamina questions to answer. Therefore, the experienced former pointer, Slievegar, could give the selection the most to think about.

Cave Article has a good record in staying chases but SLIEVEGAR was a good 3rd at Newton Abbot recently and should stay 3m.

USYK was the subject of strong late support on his debut at Newton Abbot last month. Although he came up short, the four-year-old should be wiser and, clearly held in some regard, he looks worth chancing. Axel Bleue, who swapped hands for 28,000 euros after winning an Irish point-to-point, is another intriguing contender to bear in mind. Similar comments apply to Berks And Bucks, who is Flat-bred but debuts in a winnable race.

He failed to justify late support at Newton Abbot but USYK showed enough to believe he can win a race of this nature.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
