12:10 Market Rasen (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having completed a bumper double at Hexham in April, hurdling debutant Japetus must enter calculations on his return to action. Nicky Richards' charge came home 11 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer that day and isn't taken lightly, but IS THIS FOR REAL is slightly more appealing. The five-year-old scythed his way through the field when landing a class 2 bumper at Kelso 236 days ago and that form could prove stronger. Lock Stock and Kings Champion are others of interest.

Several have possibilities but LOCK STOCK gets the vote after a promising second on his hurdling debut at Worcester last month.

12:40 Market Rasen (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KEFIR D'OUDAIRIES shaped as if in need of a stronger test when posting a fifth-placed hurdle/seasonal bow over 2m at Uttoxeter last month and this extended 2m4f distance looks ideal. The five-year-old should have better days ahead of him and this looks a suitable opportunity for a first victory over timber. The biggest threat may emerge from Moon Over America, who was last seen finishing a good second to the selection's stablemate in a Ffos Las bumper. White Riot may fare best of the remainder.

Preference is for interesting hurdles debutant MOON OVER AMERICA, ahead of Kefir d'Oudairies and White Riot.

13:13 Market Rasen (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROE AND CO landed a breakthrough victory at Chepstow recently in good style and he should take all of the beating off the same mark. Jamie Snowden's inmate is 6lb well-in on the back of that success in a conditional jockeys' race and is likely to prove a warm order. Gold Emery ended last season with a respectable second at Uttoxeter and is worth a second look. The nine-year-old may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Isle Of Sark.

Roe And Co has a good chance if he takes to cheekpieces. Chase debutant KLAPTON BOY looks attractively handicapped, though.

13:48 Market Rasen (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

On the back of improved form, the recent Sedgefield winner PESCATORIUS looks the safest option with further progression possible. Dropping back down in trip shouldn't be too much of an issue for the Olly Murphy-trained six-year-old, for whom a 7lb rise looks a fair assessment. The veteran Caro Des Flos commands respect despite not being seen since winning over 2m3f here last December, while I Am Rocco and Mr Mahler are others to consider.

Top of the list is the versatile PESCATORIUS, who won at Sedgefield last month and could be a major force again back in trip.

14:23 Market Rasen (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BITSNBUCKLES resumes from a break on a workable mark and looks a key player with Sean Bowen in the saddle. The partnership was narrowly touched off in a stronger race at Wetherby when last seen and, in representing the in-form Olly Murphy yard, this still low-mileage seven-year-old could be well placed to get his new campaign off to a flyer. Nazare also has plenty of scope for improvement and warrants close inspection on just his third start over hurdles. Matoury is another to consider.

Handicap debutant NAZARE looked promising in bumpers last season and made a very encouraging reappearance three weeks ago.

14:58 Market Rasen (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Queen Of Steel completed a double when last seen in this sphere at Wetherby in March and followed that up with a hat-trick on the Flat, so she is one to keep an eye on. However, SANDSCAPE had Seahouses five lengths behind when finishing second over C&D last month and is expected to confirm that form. This is just his fifth start in a handicap and he looks the way to go. Belladinotte completes the shortlist.

It's hard to see beyond QUEEN OF STEEL (nap), who has continued in excellent form on the Flat since her two hurdling wins in March.

15:30 Market Rasen (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lady Babs was in brilliant form before her break, winning four of her last five starts, and she has to be respected. White Noise makes her handicap debut and warrants a market check, but JUST HER TYPE gets the vote. Max Comley's mare readily took care of her nearest rival by just under five lengths at Ffos Las last month and a 6lb rise might underestimate the manner of that success.

Consistent 9yo SPOT ON SOPH looked as good as ever when second at Bangor recently and is sure to be suited by the return to this track.
