|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+44%) | (2) Lady Babs 14/1 Pulled up here on recent return but may have needed the run; has won here four times. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (40/1 -100%)Tara Iti |
40/1(-100%) | (3) Tara Iti 40/1 Four wins this March-June but has gone off the boil more recently. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

UHTRED RAGNARSON comfortably accounted for his nearest rival by four and a half lengths at Warwick last month and a 7lb rise might underestimate that effort. On just his third outing in a handicap, the son of Holy Roman Emperor could progress to go in again. Bathgate occupied the runner-up berth at Sedgefield on his latest outing and is likely to go well again with the Philip Kirby yard in good form. Wind Your Neck In is another to note.

Having returned to form with a clear second at Sedgefield ten days ago, BATHGATE (nap) is 6lb ahead of the handicapper today.

4th (1) (9/1 -170%)Mojito Des Mottes |
9/1(-170%) | (1) Mojito Des Mottes 9/1 1-1 in France; underwhelming on British debut but could be a different proposition today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (10/1 -54%)Bouquet De Paris |
10/1(-54%) | (2) Bouquet De Paris 10/1 Promise on sole Flat start but well beaten at 25-1 on his hurdle and stable debut. |

6th (8) (28/1 +30%)Appleblossomwhite |
28/1(+30%) | (8) Appleblossomwhite 28/1 Two-time Flat winner but at an ordinary level; early unseat in July on sole hurdle start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 +0%)Division Day |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Division Day 33/1 Early unseat on hurdle debut but dam was a Listed juvenile hurdle winner for connections. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lights Go Down only found one too good on his hurdling debut at Sedgefield, but the one that appeals most is MOJITO DES MOTTES. Ben Pauling's charge was well beaten into second behind a promising type at Ludlow and would have learnt a great deal from that experience. With any progression, he could be the one to beat. Any market confidence behind Private Dancer on his first start for the Skeltons would be interesting.

Hurdling newcomer PRIVATE DANCER showed promise on the Flat in France and is taken to make a winning start for Dan Skelton.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

3rd (1) (5/6 -88%)Harry Lowes |
5/6(-88%) | (1) Harry Lowes 5/6 Point winner who barely had to come off the bridle to win Exeter novice hurdle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/4 +21%)Kefir D'oudairies |
11/4(+21%) | (4) Kefir D'oudairies 11/4 Bumper winner who went close over C&D three weeks ago and could again be in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (50/1 -25%)Chemoulin |
50/1(-25%) | (3) Chemoulin 50/1 £25,000 3yo; makes debut in hot little race and he'll need to be useful; wears tongue-tie. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HARRY LOWES created a striking impression when making a winning start under Rules at Exeter and now takes a big step up in trip. With any amount of improvement to come, the son of Walk In The Park can defy his 7lb penalty to go in again. Montemares justified favouritism with ease at Hereford last month and is another exciting prospect, so he would be foolish to dismiss. Kefir D'oudairies looks best of the rest.

An intriguing clash between HARRY LOWES and Montemares, who both impressed last month on their hurdle debuts.

1st (6) (3/1 +70%)Castanea Breeze |
3/1(+70%) | (6) Castanea Breeze 3/1, Again below bumper form when fourth, beaten 30l, in a 2m5f maiden hurdle here last time. Cheekpieces tried for the first time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and handles good to soft and good; longer trip may suit now handicapping. Pedigree hints he could be suited by the step up in trip on handicap debut; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 -33%)Harry Bright |
4/1(-33%) | (1) Harry Bright 4/1, Fair handicap debut when beaten 10l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wincanton last time; effective 2m5f, acts on GS; may do better now handicapping. Fifth of 14 over 2m4f on handicap debut; could have more to offer for top yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/2 +40%)Mac's Legacy |
9/2(+40%) | (4) Mac's Legacy 9/2, Produced a fair effort after a lengthy absence when third, beaten 9 1/4l, in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m3f and handles heavy and good to soft; should come on for the run. Third last month following a long absence and the step back up in trip could be a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (13/2 -30%)East Eagle |
13/2(-30%) | (8) East Eagle 13/2, Produced his best form since the spring when beaten 2 1/2l off a mark of 78 over 3m at Southwell last time. Effective at 3m and handles good to soft and good; strong chance if reproducing that effort. Runner-up off this mark at Southwell recently and in the shake-up if backing that up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (2/1 +20%)Seahouses |
2/1(+20%) | (3) Seahouses 2/1, Travelled well and improved when landing a handicap by 6 1/2l off a mark of 87 here last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on good to soft and good ground; continues to progress. Two-time course winner, the latest in good style over C&D three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (12/1 -118%)Ebony Jade |
12/1(-118%) | (7) Ebony Jade 12/1, Pulled up in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Ludlow last time. Yet to find suitable conditions over hurdles and hard to make a case for. Pulled up on stable debut but trainer has won 3 of the last 5 runnings; watch the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (50/1 -127%)Nottodaybobo |
50/1(-127%) | (2) Nottodaybobo 50/1, Pulled up in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Sedgefield last time. Effective around 2m and handles soft and good ground, but form is regressing. Returned from absence with encouraging stable debut here in July but 3 heavy defeats since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEAHOUSES had plenty in hand when winning over C&D three weeks ago and that performance suggests that even a 7lb rise may not be enough to stop him from following up. Mac's Legacy ran well when third on the back of a lengthy break at Ffos Las a month ago and he could prove to be the main threat, ahead of East Eagle.

Donttellyamumjack is an interesting handicap newcomer but SEAHOUSES was an authoritative winner over C&D three weeks ago.

1st (4) (15/8 +16%)Jukebox D'eddy |
15/8(+16%) | (4) Jukebox D'eddy 15/8, Bit keen but ran to form when second beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Leicester latest; visor first time; effective 2m4f-2m7f, acts on Hy, G; good chance back over fences. 0-22 but runner-up on his last four starts and this might not take much winning. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (17/2 -6%)Great Name That |
17/2(-6%) | (2) Great Name That 17/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las latest; blinkers first time; effective around 3m, acts on Hy, GS; outside chance back chasing. On a reduced mark but pulled up on stable debut and has plenty to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/2 -33%)Ithaka |
5/2(-33%) | (1) Ithaka 5/2, Too keen but ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off 104 over 2m7f here last time; effective 2m7f/3m, acts on GS, G; struggled in one previous chase start but likes it here. Soundly beaten in 2023 in sole previous chase; good record over hurdles here last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (15/8 +6%)Alltalknoaction |
15/8(+6%) | (3) Alltalknoaction 15/8, Promising chase debut when fourth beaten 15l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Newcastle latest; effective around 2m4f, acts on GS; could improve up in trip. Point runner-up who is open to improvement now back up in trip on second chase start. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JUKEBOX D'EDDY has finished second in all of his last four starts and the six-year-old will not find many better opportunities than this to go one better, especially as he may improve in a first-time visor. Ithaka occupied the runner-up berth over hurdles here when last seen in March and has to be noted with Sean Bowen booked. Alltalknoaction arguably has slightly less to prove than Great Name That of the remainder.

The step up in trip could be a positive move for the lightly raced 5yo ALLTALKNOACTION on his second chase start and he earns the vote.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (4/7 +0%)Girls Best Friend |
4/7(+0%) | (3) Girls Best Friend 4/7, Improved to win on chasing debut when landing a handicap by 5l off 87 over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on soft ground. Has much more to come over fences. Won by 5l at Uttoxeter on last week's chase debut and escapes a penalty today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/1 -25%)Forsa Bay |
5/1(-25%) | (1) Forsa Bay 5/1, Well below form when stepping up in grade and comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Wears a hood for the first time; effective at 2m1f and acts on good to soft. Has a bit to find now chasing. Struggled in both h'cap h'dles but promise previously; could get back on track after break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (16/1 +52%)Lone Soldier |
16/1(+52%) | (6) Lone Soldier 16/1, Too keen, again below form comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Southwell last time; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on S, GS; others stronger. Returned from a long absence last month, when failing to shine on two outings over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (18/1 +28%)Beat The Edge |
18/1(+28%) | (4) Beat The Edge 18/1, Below form and failed to get home when fourth beaten 28l in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Sedgefield last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective up to 2m5f and acts on soft and good ground. Often finds little in the finish. On a handy mark but below par this autumn and hard to win with even when on song. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (18/1 +45%)Caro Des Flos |
18/1(+45%) | (5) Caro Des Flos 18/1, Won this race in both 2023 and 2024 but was pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f here last time. Effective around 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground. Inconsistent performer who reserves his best for Market Rasen. Pulled up here on comeback but has won the last two runnings of this race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (7/1 -56%)Lord Maher |
7/1(-56%) | (2) Lord Maher 7/1, Running well when coming down late in a handicap chase at Fontwell most recently. Effective from 2m to 2m2f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Inconsistent but capable of gaining compensation. Keeping on in second when brought down at the final fence at Fontwell last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GIRLS BEST FRIEND impressed when scoring readily in a conditional riders' event at Uttoxeter last week and could be tough to deal with from the same mark. Lord Maher still held every chance when he was brought down at Fontwell on his most recent start and can also play a big part if avoiding trouble this time. Beat The Edge appeals as best of the rest, with a first-time visor noted as a potential source for improvement.

It is very hard to look beyond GIRLS BEST FRIEND, who is able to run off the same mark as for last week's 5l win on his chase debut.

9/4(-64%) | (3) Get Out Of My Way 9/4, 105,000 euros Getaway gelding; full-brother to Tripoli Flyer, very smart at 2m; stable does well in bumper and this one holds obvious claims. 105,000euros 3yo who is a brother to two useful winners; very much respected on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (4/1 -191%)Lady Boujee |
4/1(-191%) | (6) Lady Boujee 4/1, 95,000 euros No Risk At All filly; dam modest but half-sister to French 2m1f hurdles winner; likely go well on debut for top yard. 95,000euros 3yo; top trainer does very well in bumpers; could play a leading role on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (15/8 +63%)Chemical Dave |
15/8(+63%) | (1) Chemical Dave 15/8, Better than result, ran green when well beaten in a 4yo bumper at Doncaster only start; returning from long layoff; should be effective at 2m; improvement likely. Merely midfield when favourite on debut, but useful pedigree and not written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (6/1 +50%)Midnight Escape |
6/1(+50%) | (4) Midnight Escape 6/1, £38,000 Getaway gelding; dam was a fair 2m4f-3m hurdles winner. Likely faces a tough enough task on debut. Dam 2m4f-3m hurdle winner; trainer isn't known for bumper winners nowadays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 +58%)Exiguus |
14/1(+58%) | (2) Exiguus 14/1, Modest bumper debut when beaten 26l into fourth in a maiden bumper here on first start. Returning from a long layoff; effective over 2m1f on good to soft; can do better. Well-beaten fourth of seven at 28-1 on debut over C&D (good to soft) in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (11/1 +56%)Pic N Mix |
11/1(+56%) | (5) Pic N Mix 11/1, Modest debut when well beaten in a bumper over 2m at Sandown only start; should be effective at 2m; needs improvement. Down the field at 18-1 on last month's debut at Sandown; a big step forward is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (200/1 -100%)Potters Angeltiers |
200/1(-100%) | (7) Potters Angeltiers 200/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a 2m bumper at Southwell on only start. Should be effective at 2m but hard to fancy. Tailed off at 100-1 on debut at Southwell (2m, soft) three weeks ago; best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GET OUT OF MY WAY is closely related to plenty of winners and Fergal O'Brien's expensive newcomer is the first one to consider in an open race. Dan Skelton introduces the nicely-bred filly, Lady Boujee, who may emerge as the biggest danger to the selection on her racecourse bow. Chemical Dave and Exiguus are the pick of those with bumper experience.

The newcomer GET OUT OF MY WAY is a brother to his very talented stablemate Tripoli Flyer and gets the nod.
Ths is the racecard key.

Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
