12:30 Musselburgh (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Scarlet Moon has taken well to the winter game and followed a breakthrough Warwick victory with a creditable fourth in Listed company at Aintree. It might be difficult to concede weight, though, particularly against FALLS OF ACHARN. The son of Sea The Moon signed off his Flat career with Jessica Harrington with a Leopardstown/Cork brace, which will have played no small part in him then fetching 105,000gns at the sales, and Paul Nicholls does well up here. Belaya River showed some ability at Newbury and is another to consider.

Paul Nicholls' new recruit FALLS OF ACHARN was progressive during a light career on the Flat in Ireland and can win on hurdle debut.

13:05 Musselburgh (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FIVEAFTERFOUR had yet to show her hand when hitting the deck on her chasing bow here and was in the process of making a promising return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Providing that has left no lasting scars, she can begin to make up for lost time in a race that won't take much winning. Lord De Vinci wasn't beaten all that far on his Carlisle comeback and is bred to be better over fences. Keep Marty Mcfly in mind too.

The mare FIVEAFTERFOUR retains potential in this sphere despite a fall here on her chase debut and she earns the vote.

13:40 Musselburgh (Class 3) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Lucinda Russell won this for the second time in four runnings when Alan Doyle drove Bold Light home 12 months ago, although he is 8lb higher now and the stable might have stronger claims with improving novice Chanonry Point. Serious Chat arrives in fine form, but he was hammered by WISE EAGLE at Catterick just over a year ago and Adam Nicol's top-weight remains well treated in this sphere. Fasol and Moonbow also command attention in a really competitive renewal.

Talented Flat stayer WISE EAGLE (nap) could have plenty more to offer at this sort of trip over hurdles and he's on an attractive mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

JET TO VEGAS won a Grade 2 over hurdles and finished fourth in an Aintree Grade 1. SNOWROCCO won well over this sort of trip at Newcastle latest and connections appear to have found their mare another good opening. In a race lacking proven form over 3m, she is difficult to oppose. 15:25 Musselburgh (Class 3) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Cueros boasts an attractive, unexposed profile and will likely have his supporters in the finale, while Afadil is a C&D winner and Mr Mcloughlan has won three of his last four starts. CITY OF DIAMONDS gets the nod, but is only a lukewarm selection. He's another unexposed quantity and his handicap debut success over track and trip was quite taking.

The novice MR MCLOUGHLAN travelled well to win at Huntingdon last time and can defy a 5lb rise to make it 2-2 in handicaps.
