13:50 Musselburgh (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having made a perfect stable bow at Southwell last Friday, OCEAN ODYSSEY could prove a tough nut to crack under a 5lb penalty. James Owen's charge has yet to place on turf in five outings, which makes recent Carlisle scorer Falcon Nine a feasible alternative. The five-year-old is also shouldering a 5lb penalty and isn't taken lightly, while Concert Boy is a potential improver for stepping up in trip.

Last week's Southwell winner OCEAN ODYSSEY may have more on his plate here but it could easily be onward and upwards for James Owen.

14:20 Musselburgh (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

MISSION CLASSIFIED lost little in defeat when finishing second at Brighton in June, with the third subsequently making light work of an opening mark of 71. Archie Watson's inmate could open his account at third time of asking at the main expense of Schrodinger's Cat. The son of Ardad arrives on the back of some creditable efforts in defeat and another good account is forecast. Jungle Monarch is the pick of the remainder.

Another chance is given to JUNGLE MONARCH. Second choice is Mission Classified.

14:50 Musselburgh (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Homestrait has yet to finish outside of the first two places in six outings to date and a repeat of her latest second at Carlisle should see her in the thick of the action once more. However, SOCIAL EXCLUSION looks the most compelling. The daughter of Lope Y Fernandez posted a solid third at Ripon recently and this longer trip should help. Going Commando completes the shortlist.

The two Nick Bradley Racing fillies, SOCIAL EXCLUSION and Homestrait, may well come to the fore.

15:20 Musselburgh (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Individualism struck in good style at Hamilton prior to running too badly to be true when well beaten at Thirsk last week and he might be worth another chance. However, GRESSINGTON showed more when finishing fourth at Doncaster in June and was dropped 1lb. Ed Bethell's four-year-old lurks on an appealing rating and looks the way to go. The hat-trick seeking Inanna is another to watch out for.

Having performed creditably behind subsequent winners last time, the 3yo FAR ABOVE DREAM (nap) looks particularly interesting.

AL HUSSAR produced a much better effort when hitting the woodwork in this class at Thirsk last week and is 2lb well-in compared to future events. Grant Tuer's three-year-old might only need to reproduce that level of form in order to go one better. Protest Rally is a C&D winner who wasn't disgraced in fourth over track and trip last time and is one to take seriously. Pop Star is another to consider.

With the blinkers retained, AL HUSSAR could well back up his latest effort and record a first success of the season.

SIMPLE STAR ticks plenty of boxes with two C&D successes and two wins over hurdles since. Although not at his best recently with fifth of six here over 2m, he may be allowed to make his own pace dropping back in trip. Naturalia seems likely to prove popular after winning by a head at Ayr last month, but an added 3lb means she will have to improve, while handicap debutant Storm On Jura is worth a market watch stepping up in trip.

With her Ayr success a solid piece of form, NATURALIA could well follow up. Cascade Hall is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SANDRET was a comfortable winner at Redcar last month and makes plenty of appeal with his rider able to utilise her claim on this occasion. C&D winner Highland Olly drops a class after his two-length sixth at Doncaster and is entitled to go well off this mark, while Superior Council brings consistency to the table and could also have a say.

The suggestion is TOMMY'S PROMISE, who may have a race of this nature in him. Patontheback is second pick.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK.
