Placed at Ripon on her handicap debut and first outing for David O'Meara, ROGUE STATE returns to maiden company with strong claims and can open her account. Bletchley Pride finished third at Redcar last time and the runner-up has subsequently boosted that form, while Dain Ma Nut In is not out of this if reproducing his placed effort over course and distance in June and is preferred to stablemate Racing Vicar.

ROGUE STATE made quite a promising start for new trainer David O'Meara at Ripon 3 weeks ago and is preferred to Bletchley Pride and Dain Ma Nut In. Slaney Swagger would also be likely to have a big say if turning out but he is due to run at Ripon on Monday.

Most of these have had a good few chances. ROGUE STATE doesn't make life easy for herself but the ability is there to win.

This can go the way of MAYOR OF MAGHERA, who has finished strongly over 7f on the last two occasions and stepping up to 1m could be the making of him as he aims to get off the mark on handicap debut. Another to consider is Leicester third Law Degree, who is still 6lb above his last winning mark, while Caledonian Dream looks to build upon a creditable effort over slightly shorter at Beverley last time out.

LAW DEGREE is in good form and weighted to go close again. Mayor of Maghera, who has built a solid platform for nurseries in maidens, is next best..

Phillip Makin's MAYOR OF MAGHERA has improved with each start and can build on his clear second here now handicapping up in trip.

Jamie's Choice beat Northern Prince to win a classified event at Redcar earlier in the month, but faces tougher opposition back in handicap company and INANNA is preferred. The Acclamation filly finished a creditable third at Ayr on her first outing for Jim Goldie's yard and looks capable of ending a long losing run off her current mark on that evidence. Showboated found only one too good when last seen over course and distance in July and is also noted.

Having excelled himself in a C&D maiden, SHOWBOATED can be forgiven a subsequent defeat in handicap company having been badly bumped and can prove his basement mark to be a lenient one this time. Jamie's Choice and Northern Prince occupied the first 2 spots at Redcar last time and both should be involved again.

Jim Goldie's new recruit INANNA (nap) shaped well when third at Ayr and is taken to build on it and capitalise on a reduced mark.

After winning more comfortably than the length and a half distance may suggest over C&D last time, MRS BAGERRAN is fancied to follow up despite the lengthy layoff. Tracy Waggott's charge barely saw another rival on that occasion, and a 5lb rise doesn't appear to be out of her reach. Sixcor is fancied to pose the most significant challenge to the selection after bouncing back to form when scoring over 6f at Ayr earlier this month, while Sound Of Iona isn't easily discounted.

DUNNINGTON LAD displayed a really willing attitude when doubling his tally for the season at Ripon a fortnight ago and with this an easier band of handicap, his follow-up claims appear to be bright. Sixcor and Sound of Iona head the opposition.

Last year's winner Sixcor can go well but DUNNINGTON LAD showed a good attitude when scoring at Ripon last time and can follow up.

Believe Me Now arrives here on the back of a narrow success over 1m at Ayr earlier this month and she is fancied to be involved once more, but the reopposing REBECCA'S GIRL (second) can reverse that form. Gary Rutherford's filly has since shed her maiden tag, justifying strong market support over 7f at Carlisle, and a 5lb penalty may not halt her progression. Braes Of Doune has seldom run a bad race this term and is also worthy of consideration.

BRAES OF DOUNE doubled his career tally at Ayr a fortnight ago and with the return to 1m expected to suit, he can go in again. There shouldn't be much between Believe Me Now and Rebecca's Girl again and they can make their presence felt.

A few with chances but the vote goes to BRAES OF DOUNE who did well to score at Ayr last time out and can defy a 3lb weights rise here.

MR STRUTTER caught the eye late when running on to take second over 1m1f at this venue last time and he is capable of going one better. The 10-year-old arrives here on the same mark and that can be exploited. Little Ted won off just 1lb lower over 1m1f here last month and isn't discounted, while Keep Me Stable is also noted.

It's very late in the day for 10-y-o MR STRUTTER to be fitted with cheekpieces but he figures on a very handy mark and, versatile with regards ground conditions, he gets the tentative vote. Keep Me Stable and Fanzone are others to consider.

The most reliable option is LITTLE TED who won here last month and holds his form remarkably well. Mr Strutter is next best.

TRIGGERMAN arrives on the back of a solid third in a slightly higher grade than this over 7f at Haydock earlier this month and, off an unchanged mark, the son of Ribchester looks the one to side with. Queens Road Revue scored over an extended 7f at Beverley recently and she merits a second look, despite a 4lb rise, while Inspiring Speeches is also considered stepping back down to 7f with blinkers replacing cheekpieces.

WAR MEMORIAL failed to justify market support over 1m at Ripon 3 weeks ago but this track/trip should be more suitable so he's taken to get it right this time. Queens Road Revue is a solid proposition at this level and is second choice, ahead of Triggerman eased in grade.

It could be worth siding with maiden WAR MEMORIAL, who looked on the up until fluffing his lines at Redcar last time out.

Freddy Robinson found only one rival too good over C&D earlier this month and is sure to be popular off an unchanged mark. That said, KINETIC scored with plenty in hand over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last week and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to anchor her in this company. Glasses Up bounced back to form when scoring over 1m2f at Ayr recently and completes the shortlist off 3lb higher.

Plenty in with a shout for a 0-60, with the well-treated KINETIC fancied to land a quickfire hat-trick. Spring Chorus and Tilsitt are chief among the dangers.

It's hard to go against the upwardly mobile KINETIC who has thrived under the expert tutelage of James Owen and can complete a hat-trick
