50/1(+0%) | (15) Honey Dale 50/1, 26 Feb; 5,000 euros Dawn Approach filly; half-sister to Jianzi, useful at 6f. Another newcomer best watched. |

250/1(-100%) | (12) Prominent Princess 250/1, Found nil when down the field in an auction race here most recently. Bred for around 7f; all to prove. Huge prices and ran accordingly in maidens at Dundalk and here. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (2) (14/1 +36%)Niobium Power |
14/1(+36%) | (2) Niobium Power 14/1, 23 Mar; 13,000 euros Starman colt; half-brother to Restless Prince, fair at 5f; dam fair at 6f. Starman colt half-brother to a couple of sprint winners; market best guide on debut. |

OCEAN'S BREATH could build upon a promising second behind a smart-looking winner over C&D a fortnight ago. He kept on well in the latter stages and there should be more to come from him with that experience banked. Michael's Well was another debutant who filled the runner-up berth, this time at Naas. He showed up well in the final furlong, which bodes well for this assignment. Final Boss ran on nicely for third in a Curragh maiden last week and ought to appreciate the stiff finish at this track, while Jessica Harrington's Klein Blue is a newcomer well worth a market check.

Recent C&D debut second OCEAN'S BREATH can go one better here if handling the softer ground

4th (11) (5/1 +29%)Steel Magnolia |
5/1(+29%) | (11) Steel Magnolia 5/1, Ran to form when beaten 4 1/4l in a 5f Curragh handicap last time. Ridden by a leading course jockey and drawn wide in a big field; effective at 5–6f, suited by some cut and holding fair form. C&D second early in the month with several of these behind, another solid run last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (28/1 -180%)Alnofoor |
28/1(-180%) | (8) Alnofoor 28/1, Raced freely when beaten 4 1/2l in a 5f handicap here last time. In good form prior but absent for a lengthy spell; wears a tongue-tie for the first time with a notable jockey booked; has a bit to find. Some ability or Natalia Lupini in 2021, off for four years, booking of Keane is intriguing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 -33%)Distillate |
12/1(-33%) | (4) Distillate 12/1, Won by 1 1/2l off 53 over 7f at Laytown in September. Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when eighth, beaten 5l off 57 last time. 80/1(-100%) | (10) Kayamite 80/1, Produced another disappointing run on turf when down the field in a Curragh handicap most recently. Weak form in three sprint handicaps, trainer won with Step Back In Time here two weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (14/1 -56%)Only Spoofing |
14/1(-56%) | (2) Only Spoofing 14/1, Went hard early and flattened out, outstayed over a longer trip at this stiff track when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time. Previously in good form; best suited by a sharp 5f; acts with cut and on good ground; capable off this mark despite age. Three-time C&D winner, in good form lately, has a bit to find to find with Gimmieminnie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (33/1 -32%)Stanhope |
33/1(-32%) | (15) Stanhope 33/1, Never involved when down the field in a handicap here most recently. Effective at 5–6f; in moderate form but the handicapper has eased his mark and he goes well at Navan. Weak form lately including here last time, has a sound overall Navan record, four C&D wins. |

11/1(+31%) | (13) American In Paris 11/1, Outpaced and below form when beaten 9l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 5–6f on sound ground; had been running back into form until that effort. In the frame in two of her six races since 6f win on good ground at Naas, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (18) (50/1 -25%)Eruption |
50/1(-25%) | (18) Eruption 50/1, Unsuited by the stiff track when finishing down the field in a handicap here last time. Effective at 5–6f; better suited by sharper tracks and currently out of form. Three-time winner; has failed to make the frame in seven outings this year, up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (12) (18/1 -13%)Gimmieminnie |
18/1(-13%) | (12) Gimmieminnie 18/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when beaten 8 1/4l in a 5f Dundalk handicap last time. Effective at 5–6f; exposed maiden who is unreliable. Big chance on a C&D second two weeks ago if forgiven last week's poor showing at Dundalk. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (17) (14/1 -17%)Browned Off |
14/1(-17%) | (17) Browned Off 14/1, Ran to form under a positive ride in first-time blinkers, beaten 3l off 40 here last time. Effective over 6–7f, acts on good ground; needs to build on that recent revival. Creditable fourth of 17 over C&D two weeks ago, needs to reverse form with Gimmieminnie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (14) (40/1 +20%)Iva Batt |
40/1(+20%) | (14) Iva Batt 40/1, Continued poor form when beaten 10l in a 5f Curragh handicap last time. Effective over 5–6f but has been regressive for some time. No success since 2022, inconsistent last year, last of 16 on last week's seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (20) (20/1 +20%)Shoebox King |
20/1(+20%) | (20) Shoebox King 20/1, Did too much too soon and needed the run when beaten 7l in a Cork handicap last time. Drawn wide in a large field; effective at 5–6f, suited by some cut; currently out of form. A long losing sequence a course win in 2023, hard to make a case for him at this stage. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (3) (33/1 +0%)Sister Lily |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Sister Lily 33/1, Did plenty early after missing the break, beaten 7 1/2l in a 7f Down Royal handicap last time. Blinkers applied for the first time; effective from 7f to 1m and handles soft ground; current mark looks on the stiff side. Unplaced on handicap debut, Nicola Burns deserts her to ride recent winner Art Of Unity. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
19th (5) (14/1 -133%)Art Of Unity |
14/1(-133%) | (5) Art Of Unity 14/1, Returned to form when dropped in grade off a reduced mark, winning by a head off 49 over 5f at Bellewstown last time. Effective at 5f, handles soft and good ground; in fair form and still on a workable mark. Veteran eight-time winner and 5f specialist; accounted for several of these at Bellewstown. |

VELVET SKIES is on an appealing mark and has prospects of posting a third success. He dropped down to a rating of 60 in Dundalk last week and responded with a keeping-on third. It is worth noting that he ran on for third in a big-field handicap over 5f at this venue in April. Art Of Unity is a big player as he did well to win off a break, on his first start for a new stable, in Bellewstown at the start of the month. Nicola Burns takes 7lb off his back again. There is a race in Steel Magnolia, who was just pipped by Art Of Unity in Bellewstown.

Sixth over the minimum trip at the Curragh last week, STEEL MAGNOLIA should be suited by the extra yardage and gets the vote

3/1(-20%) | (1) Bad Boy Rizz 3/1, Improved slightly when dropped in grade, finishing second and beaten 1/2l in a maiden at Cork last time. Effective from 5f to 6f, consistent, and has shown enough to win a maiden. Only a neck between him and third-placed Ennoble at Cork last time, hard to separate. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 -100%)Tertre Rouge |
5/1(-100%) | (4) Tertre Rouge 5/1, Ran to form when beaten 9l in the Blenheim Stakes (Listed) over 6f at Fairyhouse last time. Effective over 5f to 6f, acts on yielding and good ground, highly tried and consistent, capable of taking a maiden. Has contested two Listed races since his debut in a maiden, definite chance down in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (9/1 -20%)Cluain Peata |
9/1(-20%) | (5) Cluain Peata 9/1, Showed minor promise on debut when beaten 6 1/4l in a 6f maiden at Naas. Bred to be suited by sprint trips and knew her job first time, but could progress a little with experience. Big price and stable's second string when a fair sixth over 6f at Naas, likely to improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +70%)Mchenry Sunrise |
10/1(+70%) | (6) Mchenry Sunrise 10/1, The yard won this race last year. Slowly away and green on a modest debut, well beaten in a 6f maiden at The Curragh. Wears a hood for the first time; trainer in form. Effective over 6f but may need more time. Slowly away over 6f at the Curragh in May, has had adequate time to mature, hooded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (8/1 +43%)Neebrook |
8/1(+43%) | (3) Neebrook 8/1, 2 Mar; £30,000 Mehmas colt; dam fair at 6f; top course jockey; stable has decent record with 2yos. Mehmas colt, 30,000GBP yearling purchase, first foal, dam 6f AW winner by Exceed And Excel. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (6/4 +14%)Ennoble |
6/4(+14%) | (2) Ennoble 6/4, Ran to form when finishing third, beaten 3/4l, in a maiden at Cork most recently. Effective over 5f to 6f on good ground and has shown consistency in a short career. Virtually nothing to choose between him Bad Boy Rizz on figures and based on Cork run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (50/1 -52%)Queenofthefairys |
50/1(-52%) | (7) Queenofthefairys 50/1, Ran well to a point on a modest debut when beaten 8 1/4l in a 6f auction race here. Effective at 6f, knew her job first time, and may not progress further. Showed up prominently for a long way first time out in a 6f maiden here a fortnight ago. |

TERTRE ROUGE has the form to be a leading contender in this sprint maiden. Gavin Cromwell's charge ran fourth on debut in what has turned out to be an above-average maiden at Tipperary. He wasn't outclassed when fourth at a big price in Listed company at the Curragh and although he didn't feature at the same level at Fairyhouse, he should appreciate these calmer waters. Bad Boy Rizz and Ennoble are closely matched on ratings and on form at Cork, where runner-up Bad Boy Rizz was a neck in front of Ennoble in third. The two jockeys (Colin Keane and Dylan Browne McMonagle) duelling for the riding title partner them to add extra spice to this contest.

The experience gained in running in two Listed races may give TERTRE ROUGE an edge over Ennoble and Big Bad Rizz

1st (4) (9/4 -38%)Glory To Be |
9/4(-38%) | (4) Glory To Be 9/4, Ran to form when a length third in a maiden over 6f here on her latest start. Effective between 5f and 6f on yielding, good, or good to firm ground; consistent but frustrating. Consistent filly entitled to major claimer here; handles soft too. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (6/5 -9%)Lunigiana |
6/5(-9%) | (5) Lunigiana 6/5, Bit below form but not disgraced when fourth, beaten 1 1/4l, in a maiden over 6f here last time; visor applied for the first time and ridden by a top course jockey. Effective from 5f to 6f on soft or good to firm; has shown useful form without winning and remains competitive. Strong-finishing fourth over C&D a fortnight ago; visor tried and big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (100/1 +0%)Astute Power |
100/1(+0%) | (1) Astute Power 100/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; hood applied for the first time. Has speed in the pedigree and the yard does well with sprinters, but may need a bit more time. Beaten a long way in both Curragh maiden outings; hood added to tongue-strap worn latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/2 +15%)Bint Elnadim Star |
11/2(+15%) | (3) Bint Elnadim Star 11/2, Found little when beaten 7l in a handicap over 7f at Dundalk last time; cheekpieces applied for the first time. Effective at 6f on fast ground, though breeding suggests further may not suit; was in good form in the UK in spring but struggling for her new yard. Back in trip with headgear combination tried so can't be ruled out in an ordinary maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (5/1 +29%)Edmond Halley |
5/1(+29%) | (2) Edmond Halley 5/1, Improved from debut when beaten 4l in a maiden over 6f here last time. Effective at 6f and handles ground with cut; plenty of speed in the pedigree so 5f may suit. Encouraging recent C&D comeback run but more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 +30%)Platino Bianco |
28/1(+30%) | (6) Platino Bianco 28/1, Ran to form when 3l third in a handicap over 6f here most recently. Effective at 5f and acts on yielding or good to firm; generally a regressive sprinter, not one to rely on building on latest effort. Solid C&D handicap run a fortnight ago but has it all to do back in maiden company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (25/1 +11%)Star Allure |
25/1(+11%) | (9) Star Allure 25/1, Improved in first-time blinkers though possibly a little flattered when 4l third in a maiden at Bellewstown last time. Appears best at 5f with some cut and needs to confirm that improvement. Recent Bellewstown third was a much improved effort; place claims in an ordinary maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (125/1 +38%)She's A Gift |
125/1(+38%) | (8) She's A Gift 125/1, Never threatened when finishing down the field in a maiden over 7f at Dundalk last time; yet to show anything of note over 5–7f. Nothing to recommend of late, including when tried blinkered at Dundalk eight days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (250/1 -25%)Senior Situation |
250/1(-25%) | (7) Senior Situation 250/1, Green early and continued in poor form when finishing down the field in a maiden over 7f at Fairyhouse last time. Usually held up and returning from a break; yet to show anything over 7f, and stamina in the pedigree suggests shorter may not suit. Three poor runs in maidens in first half of the season; easily passed over on return. |

LUNIGIANA handles plenty of cut and perhaps the first-time visor will help her make the breakthrough. She has made the frame in seven of her 10 starts and her best performance this campaign came on rain-softened ground over 6f in the Curragh, where she was beaten a neck into second. Glory To Be has a similar profile in being placed in five of her seven races. She is rated 4lb inferior to Lunigiana, but is likely to be heavily involved in the distribution of prize money. Edmond Halley is a possible improver with Dylan Browne McMonagle booked again. The ground is an unknown for Bint Elnadim Star, but she does have a second in Windsor for her former stable.

A maiden which won't take much winning and the first-time visored LUNIGIANA (nap) is taken to reverse recent form with Glory To Be

1st (4) (18/1 -13%)Dark Ace |
18/1(-13%) | (4) Dark Ace 18/1, Every chance but below form when beaten 4 1/4l in a Sprint Handicap over 6f at Dundalk last time. Off a short break; effective at 6f though all his best form has come on the all-weather, and his mark looks stiff on turf form. Two 6f Dundalk wins last autumn, this year's AW form not good enough to inspire confidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/2 +27%)Mickey The Steel |
11/2(+27%) | (7) Mickey The Steel 11/2, Won this race in 2022 and 2024. Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 66 at The Curragh last time. Effective at 5f and suited by cut; well handicapped if building on his recent revival. Won this race last year off 14lb higher, two Curragh runs this month provide encouragement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (4/1 +67%)Verified |
4/1(+67%) | (10) Verified 4/1, Ran to form when third, beaten 5 1/2l in a 6f handicap at Cork most recently. Significant jockey booking; effective over 5-6f but remains a frustrating and inconsistent maiden. Only three placings in a 17-race career have come at Cork, a solid third of 20 last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (9/2 +63%)Nouvel Espoir |
9/2(+63%) | (8) Nouvel Espoir 9/2, May have found the ground too soft when beaten 8l in a handicap at The Curragh last time, having been in good form prior. Effective over 5-6f and suited by a sound surface; consistent until latest. Held by Mickey The Steel on last week's Curragh running, good second over C&D before that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (7/2 -56%)Amicitia |
7/2(-56%) | (1) Amicitia 7/2, Scored by 2 1/4l off 64 here on her penultimate start and ran to form when third, beaten 1/2l off 75 last time. Effective over 6f on a sound surface and in form, she should remain competitive. Beat Nouvel Espoir and Step Back In Time over C&D; third over 6f at Cork off revised mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (4/1 +0%)Arklow Lad |
4/1(+0%) | (2) Arklow Lad 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 1/2l off 74 at Naas last time. Effective over 5-6f, with speed in his pedigree and suited by cut in the ground. Steadily improving and his mark looks fair. Maiden winner on fourth start, runner-up at Naas on handicap debut, relatively unexposed. |

7th (11) (16/1 -100%)Step Back In Time |
16/1(-100%) | (11) Step Back In Time 16/1, Returned to form despite the rider losing his whip up the hill when landing a 6f handicap here by 1/2l off 51 last time. Enjoys making the running; effective at 5-6f and suited by cut, though yet to win off a mark this high. Gained a fourth C&D win two weeks ago, up in grade but gets weight from all ten rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (11/1 +21%)White Clover |
11/1(+21%) | (5) White Clover 11/1, A bit below form without obvious excuse when beaten 5l in a 6f handicap at Cork last time, having been in good form prior. Blinkers go on for the first time; effective over 6-7f. C&D winner a year ago, all nine races in 2025 have been over further, first-time blinkered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (40/1 -150%)Snowballs |
40/1(-150%) | (9) Snowballs 40/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 7l in a maiden at Bellewstown last time. Shows plenty of speed in his pedigree, effective at 5f and with more to come in handicaps for an in-form yard. Three runs since August; may find her level in handicaps, rider has begun to make a mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (125/1 -150%)Tommy Mcjohn |
125/1(-150%) | (3) Tommy Mcjohn 125/1, Up in trip, did not stay and needed the run when down the field in a 7f handicap at Gowran Park most recently. Effective over 5-6f and acts on good ground; form has tailed off. 5f winner at two, modest form for Gavin Cromwell on AW last winter, new yard after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (40/1 -344%)Best Suggestion |
40/1(-344%) | (6) Best Suggestion 40/1, Ran to form down in trip when winning a claimer over 6f at Dundalk by a neck last time. Effective at 5-6f on a sound surface and should remain competitive back in a handicap. Opened his account in a claiming race at Dundalk, not sure to find soft ground ideal. |

MICKEY THE STEEL is a stone lower than when winning this 12 months ago and looks capable of striking off his current rating after a couple of decent runs. He stayed on to finish fourth at the Curragh six days ago in a strongly-run race over this trip and the stiff finish here will help. Top-weight Amicitia won over course and distance early last month and ran a solid race subsequently when third over 6f at Cork. She went up another 2lb for that effort so it's no surprise that connections claim off her now. Four-timer course and distance winner Step Back In Time won here a fortnight ago but faces a stiffer task now after an 8lb hike.

Last year's winner MICKEY THE STEEL is a stone lower in the ratings and has shown definite signs of a return to form recently.

12/1(+40%) | (6) Dippedinmoonlight 12/1, Outpaced and never put into the race when well beaten in a maiden over 2m at Thurles last time; trainer in form; a point and bumper winner likely capable of much better but probably one for handicaps. Well held in handicaps but Down Royal maiden second gives him place claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (40/1 -60%)Saji |
40/1(-60%) | (5) Saji 40/1, Ran to form but well beaten in a maiden over 8f at Listowel latest when returning from a long layoff; effective 10-12f and looks one for handicaps, out of depth in this grade. Ex Gosden-trained 4yo takes big step up in trip; not an obvious one. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (12/1 -9%)Paul Henry |
12/1(-9%) | (8) Paul Henry 12/1, Yard won this last year; still green and failed to build on debut when well beaten in a maiden over 1m5f at Leopardstown latest; top course trainer; returning from a break; effective 10f but stamina for further unproven; stable second string. Absent since poor Leopardstown effort in June; earlier promise so don't rule out. |

9/2(+25%) | (3) Icare Desbois 9/2, Produced a promising effort when 9l third in a maiden over 11f at Killarney last time; effective over 11f with cut and as a hurdles winner should improve stepped up to staying trips on the Flat. Promising comeback third at Killarney (soft); can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (40/1 -60%)Cala Gracioneta |
40/1(-60%) | (9) Cala Gracioneta 40/1, Improved from debut for experience when beaten 7l in a maiden over 1m5f at Bellewstown last time; effective over 12f, may stay further, and likely to need more time. Bellewstown run (1m5f, soft) was a step in the right direction but more likely needed here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (500/1 -900%)Forever Frankie |
500/1(-900%) | (2) Forever Frankie 500/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Clonmel last time; effective over 2m but currently in moderate form. NH maiden can only be watched on belated Flat debut. |

MARAZION has been knocking on the door and can get her head in front now. The Sea The Stars filly reportedly got unbalanced on the bends at Killarney last time but ran a solid race to finish third to Gifted. This more galloping track should suit better and going up in trip could also be a plus. Wayne Lordan partners Lord Byron from the Ballydoyle pair. He shaped with promise when fifth on his sole outing last year but has a lengthy absence to overcome. Icare Desbois ran a solid race on his first outing for Harry Kelly when third behind easy winner Seo Linn in Killarney and is another that has to come into calculations.

bMarazion\p is the percentage call but it may pay to side with the long-absent LORD BYRON, an eycatcher on his sole 2yo start

Down Royal winner has run well on softer ground since at Bellewstown; contender again. |

40/1(-60%) | (12) Highland King 40/1, Never involved on hurdles return when beaten 7l in an 11f handicap at Down Royal last time; effective at 12f but better on all-weather where he has his sole win; plenty to prove. AW winner but 0-16 on turf; concerns over both trip and ground. |

BYNX has run well on her last couple of outings on the level and may be able to strike now in an open-looking contest. The Vadamos mare ran on well to finish third over 2m at Thurles on her last outing and had also filled the same position over course and distance in late August. Her stamina will be an asset in testing conditions. Daymer Bay couldn't lay a glove on Nancee Spain at Roscommon recently but it was still a decent effort to finish runner-up and he could get closer now. Viceregent was half-a-length behind Daymer Bay last time and is another to consider.

A chance is taken on GAMIGIN, who was left with plenty to do at Bellewstown last time and can reverse form with Numidia
Ths is the racecard key.

Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
