15:05 Newbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SUNNY SMILE returned the ready winner of a maiden race at Hamilton on his first start after being gelded. The son of Supremacy looks on a workable mark for his nursery bow and Hugo Palmer's charge is taken to edge out Penhallam. The latter faced a tougher test at Goodwood a fortnight ago and he'll appreciate the likely fast ground, while Dark Alley is making rapid strides and left a good impression when scoring easily at Bath.

Archie Watson's 2yos are in fine form and INDY B, who dead-heated at Salisbury last month and has Group-race entries, is the pick.

15:40 Newbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LIKENESS finished a creditable third at Kempton on debut, considering she missed the break. The winner has subsequently gone in again, so it looks worth keeping on the right side of George Boughey's Blue Point filly on the strength of that form. Butterfly Beach returned a beaten favourite when second at Newmarket on her introduction, but showed enough to suggest she has a future, while Rouane is expected to thrive over this extra furlong.

Having been slowly away on last month's debut at Kempton, LIKENESS did well to finish third and she can build on that performance.

16:10 Newbury (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Be The Standard finished a promising third over 7f at Haydock on debut and could have a say in the outcome. Thatcham may prove best of his yard's three runners with Sean Levey on board for his introduction, but another newcomer in BOW ECHO makes most appeal. The son of Night Of Thunder represents last year's winning connections and an entry in next month's Champagne Stakes at Doncaster suggests he could make a bold bid at the first time of asking.

David Menuisier had another 2yo newcomer win at Newmarket this month and preference is for his debutant LOST BOYS, who cost 130,000gns.

16:45 Newbury (Class 1) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Although she was slightly underwhelming when finishing fifth in a Group 3 over 6f at Ascot last month, FLOWERHEAD makes plenty of appeal dropping further in class. A return to 5f may also help the daughter of Starman and she edges the vote over Killavia. Rod Millman's filly supplemented her third in a Listed event at Sandown with a ready win in a maiden at the same venue 21 days ago and is feared most, ahead of Daneh Of Dandy.

Rod Millman is having a fine season with his 2yos and the progressive KILLAVIA (nap) is taken to follow up her maiden win at Sandown.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

She's The Duchess has posted a string of creditable efforts in defeat since entering handicap company at the start of May and the application of first-time blinkers could unlock some hidden potential. However, MYTHICAL COMPOSER looks worth another go over today's distance on quicker ground. The Clive Cox-trained colt appeared to find his stamina stretched in underfoot conditions on his latest third at Newmarket and this flatter track should suit. Forever My Prince is also worth a second look.

The vote goes to the unexposed SUNSHINE MAG, who was runner-up at Yarmouth last month and looks on a fair mark for her handicap debut.

A return to a sounder surface and reapplied cheekpieces saw NIGHTSINWHITESATIN making light work of her opposition at Nottingham recently. Ed Bethell's filly scored with plenty in hand and a 6lb penalty shouldn't forestall another bold bid. Shalfa returned from the sidelines to outrun odds off 33/1, getting closest to an emphatic winner at Windsor. She could be dangerous, with Bownder and Veraison also considered.

This can go to the unexposed 3yo NIGHTSINWHITESATIN, who won by 5l at Nottingham last week and is 2lb well in under a penalty.
