16:15 Newbury (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Black Endeavour took a pleasing step forward to get off the mark at Nottingham earlier in the month and might improve for the extra furlong. Bosom Pals prevailed by a head on her nursery debut at Thirsk and is noted, but BLUE TO BLUE gets the nod. Karl Burke's youngster finished a fair fourth at Newmarket last time and has been dropped 1lb. With Jack Nicholls claiming a handy 5lb, he looks the way to go.

It will be fascinating to see who the betting speaks for but the vote goes to PEPPER FIZZ ahead of Zipwire and Bosom Pals.

16:48 Newbury (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Superior cost 100,000 pounds as a yearling and is a half-brother to Listed scorer Dragon Leader, so he is one to watch closely in the betting. However, LEONE ALATO shaped with lots of promise when making the frame on his debut at Newmarket earlier in the month. The son of St Mark's Basilica is likely to improve on that effort and can put his experience to good use. Law Court completes the shortlist.

Three promising sorts stand out from the rest on form, with LAW COURT slightly preferred to Leone Alato and Dark Shore.

17:20 Newbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TAROT showed lots of ability when finishing second on her debut over track and trip last month and is likely to have plenty of improvement in her. Roger Varian's filly sports a first-time hood and could progress to get off the mark. Mojito changed hands for 95,000gns as a yearling and is related to a couple of winners, so she warrants a market check on her introduction. Chicory finished fifth at Windsor on her first start and is another to consider.

C&D second TAROT looks the only one to consider seriously among those who have run but plenty of the newcomers look striking candidates.

17:55 Newbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

With a number of notable debutants lining up, the market is likely to guide and only a tentative vote can go to IMPERIAL BALLET. The daughter of Blue Point is related to a couple of smart individuals and although perhaps further will suit in time, she is likely to have the speed to cope with 6f. Ed Walker landed a division of this event 12 months ago so Sunday Girl needs to be monitored in the betting, while others to note include Khafar, Bintola and Running Hot.

All the newcomers have something to recommend them on paper. The market moves should be instructive but SUNDAY GIRL might be the pick.

18:25 Newbury (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Sunny Corner bolted up at Salisbury and a 6lb rise looks more than fair, but WAR HOWL gets the verdict. Mick Appleby's three-year-old arrives on the back of wins at Doncaster and Ascot, each over 7f. He left it late to record the latest of those so stepping up to the mile is expected to unlock further improvement. Tenbob Tommy finished a creditable third over an inadequate 7f at Salisbury a fortnight ago, despite being hampered, and has the potential to progress now sent handicapping.

The 3yo WAR HOWL (nap) is thriving for Mick Appleby and is taken to complete a hat-trick. Drifts Away is feared most.

19:00 Newbury (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Slipper Time got off the mark by a neck over this trip at Salisbury and he can go well off a rating of 76 for his handicap debut. Mr Ubiquitous ticks a lot of boxes with a C&D win among three victories over this trip, but GOLDEN REDEMPTION gets the nod. Andrew Balding's colt ran on well to win his maiden over shorter here and should be at his peak now on his fourth start since arriving from the UAE.

This is wide open, with any number needing to be considered, but MORTE POINT could well be ready for 7f now and gets the vote.

19:30 Newbury (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Windsor scorer SIR WILLIAM is fancied to follow up under Tom Marquand, despite a 4lb rise. The William Haggas-trained gelding wandered once he hit the front, but still justified favouritism by close to two lengths that day and he may have more to offer. Masterinthewoods kept on well to win at Haydock, although an added 4lb looks harsh. Wolfpack could be interesting if he takes to first-time cheekpieces.

The top two options may be Masterinthewoods, who scored in taking fashion on his latest outing, and KOKANEE who shaped well on his.
