13:45 Newbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having shown plenty of potential on his debut second at Ripon last month, ONE AND GONE could be set to open his account. The son of Galileo Gold is entitled to improve for that experience and edges the vote over Credit Forgedd It. Richard Hannon's charge has undergone a gelding operation since his fourth at Haydock in May and he isn't taken lightly. Torbados is the pick of the remainder.

The shortlist is headed by the Hannon runners CREDIT FORGEDD IT (apparent first string, narrowly preferred) and Noble Vow.

14:20 Newbury (Class 2) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Although weak in the market, GHAADAH scythed through the field to make a winning debut at Wolverhampton earlier this month. The Crisfords' filly has more on her plate in this deeper company, but there could be more to come. True Test arrives on the back of a respectable fifth in a Group 2 in France and she is likely to be in the mix once more, along with Tavana. Newcomers Florida Suite and Aura Champagne add further spice to the mix.

The vote goes to once-raced maiden winner GHAADAH, ahead of newcomer Violet Goldsmith. A few others have possibilities.

14:55 Newbury (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HARDY'S HERO continued his upward trajectory when completing a double at Carlisle 18 days ago. An official rating of 82 looks workable for William Haggas' nursery debutant, with today's extra furlong expected to suit. The biggest threat may emerge from French Affair, who has proved consistent since being gelded in July, while Victorious One could also make his presence felt if breaking better.

The nod goes to FRENCH AFFAIR (nap), who is ahead of the handicapper and hails from a yard with a fine record in this race.

15:30 Newbury (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Lit up early in the race at York last time, GOODWOOD GALAXY failed to give his running. David Menuisier's charge is better judged on his respectable fourth in the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood before that and a similar effort over this extra furlong could see him bang there at the finish. Bourbon Blues has a shout on these terms, but he failed to convince at Haydock on his first attempt at a mile and the Kempton novice winner Look To The Stars may prove a bigger threat.

Some of the last-time winners look open to further progress and the suggestion is TIERRA DEL TORO, ahead of Look To The Stars.

16:05 Newbury (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

VOLTERRA reverts to 7f with strong claims. Last month's outing at Deauville will have brought him on a good deal, and Kevin Ryan's son of Farhh could prove hard to stop if improving on his excellent third in the Group 3 John Of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock back in May. Runner-up in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot during the summer, Spy Chief is not out of it, while Short Final's recent second in a Group 2 in Germany is solid form and he makes more appeal than Remmooz.

Spy Chief is set for an interesting rematch with Remmooz. VOLTERRA is the other main player on these terms.

16:40 Newbury (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

El Megeeth has taken the silver medal home in novice company the last twice and the booking of William Buick on her handicap debut is interesting. However, ORIONIS only found one too good in a class 3 handicap at Salisbury last month and is just 3lb higher. The application of cheekpieces might bring out improvement and she looks the one to beat. Lalique isn't ruled out either.

This might go to ORIONIS, who was one of two to pull a long way clear of the others when second at Salisbury last month.

17:15 Newbury (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

VINCENT ROCKS is unbeaten in two starts, most recently scoring under a penalty at Southwell, and the son of Ten Sovereigns now takes a step up in trip on his handicap bow. With the likelihood of plenty more to offer, he could defy his opening rating of 86. Sweet Reward is a two-time course winner who showed more when third at Sandown in June and is respected, while Final Secret is another to consider.

Plenty to consider but it may be worth forgiving GLORYOUS her latest start and she's taken to resume her progress back from a break.
