11:53 Newbury (Class 3) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

With Regent's Stroll going in at Wincanton on Tuesday, LUCKY PLACE's task has been made a lot easier. A dual Grade 2 winner over hurdles, Nicky Henderson's six-year-old was disappointing on his chase bow at Ascot but boasts plenty of class and is taken to come good this time. Jig's Forge was third in handicap company at Cheltenham and can pick up the pieces should the selection misfire.

The pick on hurdles form is LUCKY PLACE who emerged with a valid excuse (dirty scope) for a slightly underwhelming chase debut at Ascot.

12:23 Newbury (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Down To Business displayed ability on the Flat when trained in Ireland, most notably at the Curragh last time out when he finished a close-up third. The market should tell us more about how he's schooled over hurdles for Dan Skelton, while similar comments apply to Northwest Passage. LOVE SONNET brings proven hurdling form to the table, though, and gets the nod following her Hereford triumph.

There are some interesting recruits from the Flat but LOVE SONNET has already taken well to hurdling and might be the answer.

12:53 Newbury (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

KADASTRAL bumped into a nice type on his hurdling debut at Chepstow last month and can go one better back at the track where he won his bumper last season. Secret Beach and Contacto are interesting Flat recruits and must be taken seriously, but the main danger to the selection is Loustic Du Chatel, an impressive bumper winner at Ascot on his debut.

This is a good opportunity for KADASTRAL, who bumped into a smart rival when second on last month's hurdling debut.

13:23 Newbury (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

KRIPTICJIM left a lasting impression when winning at Ascot last time out. He wasn't stopping at the line over 2m3f that day, so it's quite possible that he could improve again for this extra yardage. Daydream Nation won an Irish point-to-point before bolting up on his Rules bow at Gowran Park and is very much a player. Trial By Jury is also worth a look.

The suggestion in this interesting novice hurdle is Ascot winner KRIPTICJIM but Gowran winner Daydream Nation has to be feared.

13:58 Newbury (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A trappy contest, not least because most of these arrive in good form, so only a tentative vote goes to LOOKAWAY. The useful hurdler is one from two over fences and the defeat came in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham, so he might have more to offer at this level. Mighty Bandit and Highlands Legacy are open to further improvement too and both could mount a serious challenge, as might the consistent Torneo.

Bottomweight HIGHLANDS LEGACY (nap) has made a very good start to his chasing career and is taken to pounce from off the pace.

FINE CASTING made a successful seasonal/fencing return at Bangor last month and if he's come on for that run, a 6lb rise might not stop him from going in again. Road To Home had looked outpaced before keeping on into third at Doncaster latest and is a real player, as is Knight Of Allen, who can improve on his chasing debut effort.

The pick is ROAD TO HOME, who comes here after keeping on well for third on last month's handicap chase debut at Doncaster.

15:08 Newbury (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Tom Bellamy rode Galaxy Star to success on her racecourse bow at Stratford but she has more to do under a penalty and stable companion SAXONS PRIDE, who struck the woodwork on her debut, could be the one. There are a number of interesting newcomers, though, including the likes of Lady Litigator and Wait For This, while Roxy Russet might not be out of this either.

Anthony Honeyball has a good record in this race and LADY LITIGATOR is taken to make a winning start to her career.
