16:20 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DOUBLETHETROUBLE was only beaten a neck into second over 2m at Southwell a couple of weeks ago and the seven-year-old tops the shortlist off just a 1lb higher mark here. Swinging London has been in good form of late and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Mafia Power edges out Weddell Sea to be best of the rest.

Preference is for DOUBLETHETROUBLE, who ran a cracker at Southwell last time and remains fairly treated. Mafia Power and Swinging London are feared most.

The one who appeals most is DOUBLETHETROUBLE, who did well to go close at Southwell two weeks ago and is only 1lb higher here.

16:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HIGH COURT JUDGE arrives here having won his last four starts and a 4lb rise for the most recent of those wins may not be enough to stop him here. That said, Show No Fear hit the crossbar over C&D on his most recent outing and should not be underestimated. Jujubella is another with valid form claims, while Percy Willis completes the shortlist.

HIGH COURT JUDGE arrives at the top of his game and hasn't been harshly treated for his latest success. He can extend his winning run. Show No Fear and Fast Fred should also go well.

Top of the list is the resurgent 5yo HIGH COURT JUDGE (nap), who has won four in a row and found plenty at Wolverhampton 12 days ago.

17:25 Newcastle Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LORD CAPULET confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when filling second place over 7f here last month. With more improvement likely, the son of Make Believe could be hard to stop. Volendam has a similar profile to the selection and has to be of interest, while Fan Mail is another with valid form claims. Last Shamardal is closely related to plenty of winners and any market support for him would have to be noted.

The drop to 6f looks a good move for LORD CAPULET, who gave it a good shot from the front in a 7f maiden here last time, in what was probably a stronger race than this. Conversely, Volendam is moving up in trip after also finding just one too good here in January and, with further improvement on the cards, she could be the biggest threat to the selection. Fan Mail is best of the rest, though confidence behind any of the newcomers in the betting would be worthy of note.

Volendam, Fan Mail and LORD CAPULET are all quite closely matched on the figures, but the vote goes to Kevin Ryan's colt.

17:55 Newcastle Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FLORIDA DAWN was able to build on an encouraging debut when landing a similar C&D event a fortnight ago and, in receipt of weight from her two most likely competitors, Charlie Johnston's filly can repeat the dose. Miraculous isn't guaranteed to stay this trip and he will need to settle better than he has been so far. Roger Varian's colt merits respect nonetheless, while Kameel, who made a winning debut over track and trip in December, appeals most of the remainder.

MIRACULOUS still looked a touch green when chasing home a potentially useful type in a 6f Lingfield novice last month and, with this step up in trip likely to be in his favour, the Too Darn Hot colt is taken to resume winning ways. Kameel and Florida Dawn should both have more to offer, too, and are feared most in that order of preference.

A trappy race. KAMEEL impressed with how he moved through the race en route to winning here 56 days ago.

18:25 Newcastle Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Tempus has slowly been edging down the handicap and there were more encouraging signs at Wolverhampton last time out. Archie Watson's charge can go close, but he might be vulnerable to younger legs and it is INDALO that gets the vote. Worth more than the winning margin would suggest over C&D in November, the Phoenix Of Spain gelding enters handicaps from a potentially workable mark and is likely to mount a bold bid as he looks to maintain his unbeaten record. Longhaired General bolted up in maiden company when last seen in December and is not without a chance returned to handicaps.

INDALO looks to start handicaps on a good mark so Roger Varian's 4-y-o is fancied to go 3-3. Fellow C&D scorer Dingle is weighted to have a say while Longhaired General is another with winning form at the track who is also worth considering.

Well-handicapped veteran TEMPUS kept on well for third at Wolverhampton recently and could be ready to end a long losing run.

18:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Brazilian Rose's stamina may have been stretched when finishing a close-up third over 7f here 25 days ago and she cannot be taken lightly reverting to 6f. However, Rebecca Menzies' filly is now 5lb higher in the ratings and BEALE STREET is slightly more compelling. The four-year-old arrives on the back of a staying-on third over C&D and compensation could be on the cards racing off an unchanged mark. Fellow in-form rival Biplane is also noted.

A case can be made for a few of these but C&D winner BEALE STREET rates the pick of the weights so edges the vote. Course-scorer Dark Kestral heads the list of dangers, with Novak, Biplane, Ormolulu and Brazilian Rose all in the picture too.

Brazilian Rose has made excellent progress but Beale Street and SIBYL CHARM also come right into the reckoning.

19:25 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

REBECCA'S GIRL scored over a furlong shorter at this venue seven days ago with something in hand and she makes plenty of appeal remaining in class 6 company. Although a 6lb rise in the ratings demands more from the five-year-old, a double could be imminent. The biggest threat may emerge from fellow last-time-out winner Flash The Dash, while recent C&D runner-up Pallas Lord should give another good account.

ELETTARIA holds leaing claims on thhe terms, and is preferred to Flash The Dash and Concert Boy.

The signs are that PALLAS LORD is going to follow up last year's success in this race. Rebecca's Girl is second choice.
