CARRADOS showed a lot of promise in three starts last year and is highly notable kept to novice company for what could well be a straightforward task on his return/all-weather debut. Albert Hall and Remember The Bear were both well beaten on their most recent starts and have something to prove. Therefore, it isn't impossible that Luna A Inbhir Nis could be the one to fill the runner-up spot if she raises her game on her Tapeta bow.

A gilt-edged chance for CARRADOS, who was placed all 3 starts on turf last year and having already reached a fairly useful level of form, he should have no trouble dispatching his 3 rivals on all-weather debut. Remember The Bear can chase him home.

This looks a golden opportunity for CARRADOS, who sets a clear standard on his two runner-up efforts at Goodwood last summer.

LAST SHAMARDAL ran green on his debut over C&D last month but kept on well to take third late on. A step forward with a more prominent early position could see a better outcome for the Jack Channon-trained gelding this time. Sharon Curly missed the kick in that race and did well to finish fifth as a result. She looks the pick of Richard Fahey's pair. Run To My Side also merits a betting check on her first run since wind surgery.

Richard Fahey's SHARON CURLY hails from a family of winners and shaped really well when a fast-finishing debut C&D fifth so gets the vote. Run To My Side should ensure the selection doesn't have things all her own way though if resurgent after breathing surgery, while Last Shamardal is also worthy of consideration in an intriguing maiden.

Sharon Curly was a major eyecatcher on her C&D debut but LAST SHAMARDAL also shaped well and can confirm his superiority.

ASGARD'S CAPTAIN won this race off a mark of 73 last year and has prospered nicely ever since. A current rating of 84 obviously demands more of the five-year-old but his proven willingness is a key asset that lends itself well to the demands of the stiff finish at this venue. Fellow C&D winer Midnight Lion has also been in good heart and appeals as the biggest danger off a workable mark. Yokohama is another with track and trip experience to consider.

Lots with chances but ASGARD'S CAPTAIN goes really well round here and arrives in good nick so is taken to repeat his victory in this event 12 months ago. Course-winner Yokohama heads the list of dangers, with Juubella and Midnight Lion also firmly in the picture.

Antony Brittain's WITHOUT COMPROMISE (nap) is selected to make amends for last month's handicap debut in which he ran into trouble.

Not beaten far the last twice over C&D when going from the front, THREE BEAUZ remains on a workable mark of 55 and this looks like as good an opportunity as any to regain the winning thread. King's Crown may be suited by dropping back in trip, having been placed on his last two starts over 6f here, while Dash Gordon has been a highly consistent sort since joining the Mick Appleby yard.

Having ended a losing run at Southwell in January, KING'S CROWN has remained in form since, a stronger gallop likely to have seen him in a better light when runner-up over 6f here 9 days ago. He shades the vote over Oriental Prince who is best not judged too harshly on his run over C&D on Thursday. Three Beauz can also feature.

If DASH GORDON applies himself fully he should find this a good opportunity, perhaps at the chief expense of Three Beauz.

Showing his versatility in recent starts with wins over this distance and 6f here most recently, CONQUEST OF POWER continues to go from strength to strength and a 3lb rise for his most recent success could prove lenient. A determined winner over C&D last time out, for which he has been raised only 1lb, Jems Bond is capable of being in the shake-up, as well as fellow last-time-out winners Annalee Lass and Calcutta Dream.

CALCUTTA DREAM confirmed the promise of his previous run when resuming winning ways at Southwell 6 weeks ago and, operating from a handy mark back in handicap company, he looks to hold sound follow-up claims. Versatile 5-y-o Conquest of Power arrives in rude health himself and is another high on the shortlist in his hat-trick bid. Jems Bond and Annalee Lass are others in the mix.

The 7yo CALCUTTA DREAM has seemed suited by a drop back in distance lately and can follow up January's win at Southwell.

LUMENBOURG pulled a couple of lengths clear with the runner-up when on target at Southwell last time out and Julie Camacho's charge should go very close again, from just 2lb higher. Bobby Joe Leg hasn't been discredited in recent starts and he shouldn't be far away from what looks a handy draw, while fellow veteran Saisons D'Or is another that could have a say.

LUMENBOURG showed a good attitude when going in at Southwell last time and can defy a 2 lb weight rise with relatively few miles still on the clock. Multiple course scorer Tomorrow Day rates the main danger, with Saisons d'Or and Made All appealing as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

Preference is for LUMENBOURG, who hit a personal best with his brave win at Southwell two weeks ago and is only 2lb higher.

HARTSWOOD defeated L'Ennemi (second) over C&D before finding one too strong in an apprentice handicap at Southwell next time, but with Oisin Orr back aboard, returned to this track and trip, he can go one place better. Paris Lights (second) finished half a length behind Volenti (winner) last time out, but he's entitled to close that gap on 2lb better terms.

PARIS LIGHTS has run well over C&D on 2 of his last 3 starts, returning to winning ways in December and bettering that form when second on his latest outing, so he is taken to score again off what remains a workable mark. He can reverse the placings with Volenti from when the pair met 29 days ago, with Hartswood the pick of the remainder.

This looks wide open but it might be worth siding with VOLENTI, who has form figures of 1211631 over C&D since October.
Ths is the racecard key.
