|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (6/5 +52%)Market House |
6/5(+52%) | (3) Market House 6/5, Ran to form beaten 2 1/4l off this mark at Wolverhampton last time; trainer in form; effective 12-17f, acts on AW; can go well again. Arrives on back of a very good Wolverhampton second; this dual C&D winner is a big player. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (5/1 -150%)Traila |
5/1(-150%) | (2) Traila 5/1, Ran to form down in trip beaten 4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; suited by 12-14f and a sound surface; mark keeps easing and could have a say. Hinted at a revival with Southwell fifth latest; very much one to consider eased 2lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ludo's Landing weakened into fifth over 1m6f at Chelmsford last month, but he has been dropped 2lb and lurks on an appealing rating. Traila completes off a career-low figure and is another to note, but MARKET HOUSE gets the vote. James Owen's gelding occupied the runner-up berth in a warmer event at Wolverhampton and if in similar form, he will prove tough to beat.

Dual C&D winner MARKET HOUSE seems primed for another bold showing after a very good recent Wolverhampton second so looks the way to go

15/8(+17%) | (6) Soul Love 15/8, Bit keen but created a good impression when 2 1/2l winner in a maiden at Southwell on debut; returning from a break; effective at 6f on AW; promising sort with lots to offer. Overcame inexperience to win well on Southwell debut 4 months ago; bred to do better still. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bucklow Hill beat Silent Strike by just over a length on his introduction at Lingfield and it would be no surprise to see him confirm that form. Kimbara changed hands for 150,000 pounds as a yearling and warrants a market check, but the vote goes to SOUL LOVE. Karl Burke's filly made a strong impression when scoring on debut at Southwell in November and could have any amount of improvement to come.

Five winners lock horns and BUCKLOW HILL is selected to come out on top. Nursia heads the list of dangers.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +6%)Tribal Wisdom |
15/2(+6%) | (6) Tribal Wisdom 15/2, Ran to form when second beaten 2 1/4l off 79 last time, same mark here; wide draw; suited by 7-10f, best on sound surface; consistent and can again go well. Back to form when 2nd to a big improver at Southwell last week; solid claims off same mark. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (16/1 -100%)Jez Bomb |

33/1(+34%) | (5) Good Morning Alex 33/1, Again below form beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap here last time; trainer in form; wide draw; best at 8f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; hard to fancy on recent evidence. Yet to shine this year and handicapper proving slow to release his grip. |

66/1(-200%) | (4) War Howl 66/1, Never in it from off the pace dropped in trip when down the field in a handicap here most recent; top course jockey; effective 7/8f, suited by a sound surface; easing in weights but bit to prove. Two 7f wins for M Appleby last summer; low-key stable debut in January; opposable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TRIBAL WISDOM bounced back to form when filling the runner-up spot at Southwell last week and goes off an unchanged rating. With a similar performance, he will prove hard to beat. Callianassa returned to winning ways over track and trip last month and is sure to attract plenty of support, while two-time course winner Jez Bomb is another to keep a close eye on.

A 2lb rise for her latest C&D success looks manageable for CALLIANASSA and she can go in again. Tribal Wisdom is feared most.

Two turf wins last season; easy lead unlikely now back from a four-month break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It could pay to stick with GOLDEN STRIKE in his current frame of mind. Richard Fahey's charge finished in front of the tough and consistent Goldmoyne (third) when runner-up at Southwell a fortnight ago and beat Bobby Joe Leg (second) when scoring over C&D prior to that. The latter could prove the main danger reopposing on more favourable terms, given the veteran won this contest last year.

Lessay is lurking on a dangerous mark but a visor has sparked a revival from GOLDEN STRIKE and he could be the answer.

(5) (7/2 +22%)Tasever |
7/2(+22%) | (5) Tasever 7/2, Below form dropped in trip under a penalty sixth beaten 4l off 71 last time, 1lb lower here; wide draw; effective 7/8f, acts on any, form mainly on AW these days; bounce back needed. Two 1m wins here this winter; 3.5l behind Flowstate here 19 days ago. |

9/1(-20%) | (2) Blazing Son 9/1, Never in it from off the pace beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective 6/7f, acts on soft, good and AW; back on last win mark, can go well. C&D win off this mark in November; awkward leaving the stalls in both runs this winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (25/1 -150%)Spartan Fighter |
25/1(-150%) | (7) Spartan Fighter 25/1, Below form when ninth beaten 7 1/4l off 65 last time, 2lb lower here; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; better than showed latest. Four 6f wins here this year; form dipped last time and others stronger over this trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FLOWSTATE got stuck in traffic at a crucial stage at Southwell last weekend. He would likely have finished closer than fourth with a clear run and, considering he landed a double over C&D before that, David O'Meara's charge remains of interest off his current mark. Course regular Spartan Fighter has been in fine form over 6f here this year and cannot be ruled out, while Beauty Choice is preferred of the rest.

A few possible revivers on show but FLOWSTATE (nap) is building up a fine record over C&D and he could have another win in him.

33/1(+34%) | (5) Take The A Train 33/1, Again below form when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time; off a short-break; hard to fancy on recent evidence. Offered little for new yard when ninth here in December; he's hard to make a case for. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MOYOWASI made a successful return to this distance when scoring a shade comfortably at Kempton on Monday. Equally effective on Tapeta, the four-year-old is taken to defy a 5lb penalty, with Billy Loughnane keeping the partnership intact. Potentially well treated on his previous winning form, Mr Fustic could have a say in proceedings, while Sold Out faced a tougher test at Lingfield last time and returns to this venue with a shout.

Stylish Kempton scorer MOYOWASI is thriving under Ian Williams and taken to gain win number three for the yard under a 5lb penalty here

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Fortunate Star comfortably had Desert Master's measure at Southwell and it's difficult to envisage that form being reversed. Both are taken seriously, but the verdict is for CLASSY CLARETS, who wants marking up for winning at Wolverhampton given everything went wrong leaving the stalls as he reared and was slowly away. A good second before that in handicap company, he's clearly on good terms with himself.

Not a bad race of its type but FORTUNATE STAR has been better than this level in the past and can defy a penalty for his recent win.

YORKSHIRE GLORY has a 5lb penalty to contend with for winning at Southwell, but he's in really good nick and is back over the same C&D which yielded success two starts ago. The hat-trick beckons and he can edge out Call Glory, who has won twice this year in handicap and classified stakes company. Pit Boss should run his usual honest race too.

Most of these are usually held up and BULLINGTON BRY and the thriving Yorkshire Glory may not come back to the pack.

Golden Prosperity was running consistently well on the turf and all-weather last summer and boasts every chance if he's ready to roll on his return to the fray. BERNIE THE BEAR can put his superior match fitness to good use, though, and build on a creditable second in classified stakes company here. Watch out for He's An Angel as well.

Howzak should go well back at 6f but HE'S AN ANGEL should be arriving on the scene late and is marginally preferred.
Ths is the racecard key.
