13:52 Newcastle (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Crownthorpe could go well following his Carlisle second off the same rating. Brunello Breeze has an outstanding record here with three wins from five starts and can get involved, but BERKSHIRE PHANTOM is preferred. He only needed to be pushed out for an easy length win at Redcar over a furlong shorter last time out and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to stop him from following up.

The vote goes to ETRETAT who finds himself 5lb lower than when last successful at Lingfield back in January.

14:30 Newcastle (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Camarrate looks interesting returning to the Flat having won twice over hurdles since joining Donald McCain. ENVIRONMENT AMIGO won his final race last season by seven lengths at Southwell and although off since last September, he has always looked the sort to improve with age and it may be worth chancing his readiness here. Appier is worth a market check too.

The selection is LA PULGA who is back on his last winning mark and could take some passing if able to get his own way in front.

15:08 Newcastle (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ZOIROS arrives with the best form by far after a debut fourth at Ripon was followed by a half-length second here over six furlongs when he rallied late on, suggesting this extra yardage may suit. Saniyaat's Star showed some ability at a big price when fifth at Doncaster on his sole outing and can only improve for the experience, while Bungle Inthejungle gelding Riffa Spirit is an interesting newcomer.

This can go to ZOIROS who sets a useful standard following his narrow defeat here last time, the form of which has been franked.

15:40 Newcastle (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CALLIANASSA did it well when scoring comfortably over C&D last month and a 3lb rise for that success could prove lenient, as she looks to bring up an all-weather hat-trick going back to Southwell in April. An eye-catcher when keeping on well for third at Yarmouth last time out, Rogue Encore is likely to be thereabouts, as well as Sheriff's Court, who deservedly won at Carlisle.

It may be worth taking a chance with BORGI who is back off the same mark as when taking this race last year.

16:15 Newcastle (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Not beaten far in his attempt to land a double at Wolverhampton last month, HENERY HAWK narrowly sets the standard and is taken to go one better at a track where he has scored several times before. Narrowly denied at Nottingham last time out, C&D winner Better must be respected, as well as Lady Of The Garr, who may not be the most consistent but showed up well when second at Beverley latest.

The vote goes to Tapeta specialist HENERY HAWK, who has had a win and close second at Wolverhampton in his last two starts.

16:50 Newcastle (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for GREENLIGHTFORGO after a taking success over C&D last month, Tim Easterby's charge is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming. The four-year-old gets the vote ahead of Madame Plaintiff and Mr Heinz, who bounced back to form with highly creditable second at Pontefract last time out. Others to note include Kalganov, Pop Favorite and Top Gun Tina.

Preference is for MR HEINZ, a dual C&D winner who returned to form at Pontefract.

17:25 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SUPERIOR COUNCIL has performed well over 7f before and has a lot going for him as he drops back into classified stakes company. Assuming he handles the surface, this drop in class can provide Iain Jardine's six-year-old with a route back to winning ways. Elettaria is a previous C&D winner who cannot be ruled out, while Mavetheforcebewivu and Pinjarra are others for the shortlist.

The vote goes to ELETTARIA (nap) who has won twice over C&D and drops to this level for the first time since winning here in January.

17:55 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MARTIN'S BRIG is already a three-time course winner who has shaped as if he is capable of adding another victory to his career tally. Dropping back down to 7f is no concern for the selection and he can get the better of Buttercross Flyer and Starshot, who are both effective over the trip and can make this competitive. Multiple course winner Spartan Fighter could also figure.

Three-time course winner MARTIN'S BRIG earns the vote, especially as he may enjoy the run of the race up front.
