14:05 Newcastle (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SASSY GLORY arrives with the best recent form after weakening into third over further at Doncaster and following that with a solid second at Nottingham. If he can find a lead to follow, he may come out on top in this line-up. Oselton is interesting stepping up in trip after a third over 7f here last month and he could challenge course and distance winner Balqaa and the well-handicapped Yakhabar for the places.

The vote goes to BALQAA (nap) who has gained three of her four wins here including over this trip.

14:40 Newcastle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Paper Doll seems sure to prove popular here after winning over 1m4f at Pontefract last month, but she has an added 6lb from the handicapper now and is yet to prove she stays this far. WASTHATOK hasn't been seen on the Flat since July 2023 but he has placed over hurdles as recently as May, and a mark of 47 may underestimate his true abilities. C&D winners Weddell Sea and Show No Fear are others to consider.

The choice is WEDDELL SEA, a dual C&D winner whose last two starts at this venue have been in much warmer company than this.

15:15 Newcastle (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TERRITORIAL STAR did well to finish a length and a half second at Redcar at odds of 50/1 on her only start after missing the break and running green throughout. She could prove hard to beat with that experience under her belt. Advertised has a similar profile after her Redcar second over shorter where she ran on strongly despite stumbling, making her hard to ignore, leaving newcomer Havana Song as one to watch in the early markets.

This can go to ADVERTISED, a half-brother to two AW winners whose debut second at Redcar has been franked by the winner.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Although WILLINGLY could only muster a sixth-placed effort at Haydock last month, she should prove far more competitive dropping into classified company. Mark Usher's mare is the highest-rated rival and a belated seventh career victory may beckon. Pinjarra arrives on the back of a respectable fourth over 7f here and may enjoy this drop in distance. The four-year-old is feared most, ahead of Colour Code.

This could take very little winning. PINJARRA is a 14-race maiden but arrives on the back of a positive performance here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having posted her best effort to date when finishing second at Ayr 11 days ago, TANJEN could be poised to open her account. Tim Easterby's filly is 2lb well-in and she should take plenty of stopping if proving as effective on her Tapeta bow. The biggest threat may emerge from recent Thirsk third Beerwah, while C&D winner Startling sits on an attractive mark and cannot be dismissed either.

C&D winner MONTICRISTO BOY looks to be on a favourable mark for this return to the AW and can take advantage.

17:07 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FINN IRONSIDE made it second time lucky since racing under the tutelage of Ivan Furtado in June when landing the spoils at Doncaster last month. The four-year-old displayed a willing attitude and could be up to defying a 2lb rise from the assessor. C&D winner Front Gunner got back on the scoresheet at Redcar 42 days ago and should make his presence felt once more, along with Bantz, who will enjoy this sounder surface.

The choice is FINN IRONSIDE who had two of these behind when winning at Doncaster last time and has run well in all three starts here.
