16:20 Newcastle (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A few to consider including Stand Strong and Edwardtheninth, who both filled the runner-up spot over C&D on their latest outings. However, the vote goes to REEL HER IN. Ben Haslam's mare struggled over timber at Cartmel most recently but she's only 2lb higher than when winning on the level at Carlisle in May. The daughter of Highland Reel remains open to further improvement in this sphere, especially over staying trips, and could find the necessary progress. Both Of Us is also noted.

Unexposed EDWARDTHENINTH attracted support when a good second over C&D on his first go for Ruth Jefferson and gets the nod.

16:55 Newcastle (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Elemental Eye bolted up on soft ground at Musselburgh last time and a 5lb penalty shouldn't be any barrier to further success if handling the switch to Tapeta, but a chance can be taken on SPEECHMAN. The French import was fourth over C&D a fortnight ago and was eased 1lb by the assessor. Further progress is possible, and the prospect of a stronger pace could suit too. That should also be of benefit to Fleur De Mer, who finished a place behind the selection in that same contest.

The vote goes to SPEECHMAN in the hope his recent revival over C&D was not a flash in the pan.

17:30 Newcastle (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There's not a daunting standard set by those with experience, and MORNING ROSE is fancied to make a successful debut. The daughter of Dubawi makes considerable appeal on pedigree and although further might suit in time, this should be a fine starting point. Proposal faces arguably her easiest assignment to date and must be feared, while Nanoscience could fare best of the remainder.

The standard doesn't look exacting and MORNING ROSE won't need to be extra special to make a winning debut.

18:00 Newcastle (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SHAHIK improved significantly from first to second start when runner-up at Yarmouth last month and with more progress expected, George Boughey's charge is taken to get off the mark on his all-weather bow. A creditable second at Thirsk on the back of a gelding operation last time out, Zoiros has become a somewhat frustrating sort to follow, but he is capable of being in the shake-up, along with newcomer Roccobear, who should be monitored for market support.

George Boughey's SHAHIK has come up against some smart sorts in his two starts and can get off the mark this time.

18:30 Newcastle (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PARISIAN SCHOLAR looked to be value for more than the winning margin when scoring on his nursery debut at Musselburgh last month, and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from landing a double. Now that the penny has dropped for Willowinghurn, after a comfortable success at Musselburgh over 7f, she may have more to come on the rise in distance, despite a 6lb penalty. Double Eagle and Wonderful Friend are likely to be thereabouts as well.

The addition of cheekpieces can swing things in favour of nursery debutant EBN SABT.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Making just his second start for Philip Kirby, THE GREEN MAN impressed when scoring easily over C&D last week and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to stop him from landing a sixth career success. That may be at the main expense of Asadjumeirah, a multiple course winner, and Northern Attitude, who bounce back to form with a strong runner-up effort over C&D last month.

Several runners are of interest but THE GREEN MAN (nap) bolted up over C&D last week and can make light of his penalty.

19:30 Newcastle (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Bellagio Man is a standing dish here with three wins, but they came from 33 attempts with the latest in December 2024. Evocative Spark showed signs of a return to form when second at Catterick and he is due to go up 3lb for future contests making him a player, but a chance is taken on REENIE'S DREAM. Wearing a first-time hood after weakening late on over 7f here, she should not be underestimated.

The drop to sprinting and the fitting of a hood both look positives for the free-going REENIE'S DREAM and she can record her first win.

20:00 Newcastle (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Fierce has been competing unsuccessfully in better races since taking a Wolverhampton claimer, but he may do better in this company with a place a possibility. Above has won here twice and is one to consider with Billy Loughnane riding, but HUNDRED CAPS is the in-form option. The three-year-old battled on to score by a neck at Beverley in August over 5f and can follow up off 4lb higher.

Ziggy's Triton should make a bold bid but ABOVE should be at his peak now and can exploit a favourable mark.

20:30 Newcastle (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SECOND FIDDLE has won both starts since arriving at the Iain Jardine yard as a maiden, the latest over C&D last month when given a perfectly timed ride to win by a length. She has to shoulder a 5lb penalty now, but may still have more to offer at this level. Blue Siam was off the track from December before a Musselburgh fourth last month and she could improve considerably, leaving seven-time C&D winner Pop Favorite as next best.

Second Fiddle is greatly feared but SPIRIT OF BOWLAND hasn't had things fall his way lately and is suggested to topple her.
