1st (4) (9/2 -35%)Nebras |
9/2(-35%) | (4) Nebras 9/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 5 1/2l in a handicap over 8f at Newmarket last time; effective from 8f to 10f and acts on all-weather; back in form and should build on that latest effort. Sole 3yo in the field; good 2nd over 1m latest; unexposed at 1m2f; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (15/8 +63%)Bragbor |
15/8(+63%) | (5) Bragbor 15/8, Scored by a head off 80 here three starts back; travelled well and ran to form when second, beaten 2 1/2l off 86 last time; from a top course trainer; effective from 8f to 10f and suited by all-weather; consistent performer still on a fair mark with more to come. Progressive course form for George Scott; sold 50,000gns last month; still has potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (9/2 -50%)Teumessias Fox |
9/2(-50%) | (1) Teumessias Fox 9/2, Poorly placed after missing the break and meeting trouble when beaten 4l off 101 over 11f at Kempton last time; 10f probably suits best though effective at 11f; mark dropping, in moderate form, best at Kempton. Useful AW performer on a winning mark; excuses at Kempton latest; likely to make bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/2 +44%)Savvy Victory |
5/2(+44%) | (3) Savvy Victory 5/2, Ran to form, making a big move after missing the break when beaten 3l off 100 at Doncaster last time; best around 10f and suited by give in the ground; this looks less competitive and he appears back in form. C&D win off 6lb higher last December; latest turf run promising; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (20/1 -100%)Frances Ethel |
20/1(-100%) | (2) Frances Ethel 20/1, Outpaced and needed the run on stable debut when down the field in the Pride Stakes (Group 3) at Newmarket last time; trainer in form; effective from 10f to 12f; a Group winner in South Africa but with plenty to prove for new connections. Ex-South African mare; low-key stable/British debut last month (Group 3); hard to assess. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (11/1 +8%)Dream Harder |
11/1(+8%) | (7) Dream Harder 11/1, Poorly placed to challenge but ran to form when beaten 3l off 81 over 11f at Kempton last time; effective from 10f to 12f and better at 12f, goes well at Chester; below par in last three outings but has dropped below his last winning mark. Conditions to suit and on a favourable mark but his recent results have been mixed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (33/1 -65%)Return To Dubai |
33/1(-65%) | (6) Return To Dubai 33/1, Below form when beaten 4l in a handicap over 9f at Meydan last time; absent for a very lengthy period; effective at 10f and suited by all-weather; plenty to prove following a long layoff. 1m2f Polytrack winner for Godolphin; sold 24,000gns in July; absent 654 days. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Bragbor has barely put a foot wrong so far and that probably helped persuade Richard Fahey to go to 50,000gns for him at the Horses-In-Training sale. He found a Gosden three-year-old too good here last time, though, and that could be the case again because NEBRAS got closest to a potential Pattern performer at Newmarket and there is more to come from him. Teumessias Fox never really looked like justifying favouritism in the London Middle Distance Series Final, but that market support suggests he could be ready to strike.

Teumessias Fox and Savvy Victory are respected but BRAGBOR was progressing for George Scott and can make a winning stable debut.

1st (4) (4/6 +27%)My Love Is King |
4/6(+27%) | (4) My Love Is King 4/6, 18 Feb; Kingman colt; half-brother to Loving Things, high-class at 12f; dam high-class at 12f; trainer in form; likely go well. Has Pattern-race winners among his siblings and he is of obvious interest in this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6/5 -9%)Ilraawi |
6/5(-9%) | (2) Ilraawi 6/5, 15 Feb; 220,000gns Study Of Man colt; half-brother to Toro Dorado, useful at 12f; dam useful at 11f; probably need the experience. 220,000gns half-brother to two winners out of a middle-distance winner; likely newcomer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (28/1 -56%)Arc La Shari |
28/1(-56%) | (5) Arc La Shari 28/1, 16 Mar; 20,000 euros Pinatubo filly; half-sister to Roman Turbo, very smart at 6f; dam smart at 6f at 2yo; tough enough task on debut. 20,000euros yearling; dam a Listed-placed 5f/7f AW winner; yard not noted for 2yo winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (100/1 -52%)A Boy Named Mary |
100/1(-52%) | (1) A Boy Named Mary 100/1, Too green to show anything on debut when well beaten in a maiden at York on only start; returns from a short break and has plenty to prove. Tailed off on York debut in September (7f, good; 125-1); can't be recommended. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (33/1 +34%)King Of Yorkshire |
33/1(+34%) | (3) King Of Yorkshire 33/1, Outpaced and failed to build on debut when well beaten in a novice here last time; bred for 8-10f and looks the type to do better in handicaps over further. Down the field in two 7f novice runs this autumn; likely a longer-term prospect. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

King Of Yorkshire and A Boy Named Mary have shown precious little so it is best to focus on the newcomers, namely a couple of Newmarket raiders. Ilraawi cost 220,000gns as a yearling and should come into his own over middle-distances next year, but MY LOVE IS KING is preferred. From an excellent family the Gosdens know well - he is out of a half-sister to their Coronation Stakes heroine Fallen For You - the son of Kingman is fancied to hit the ground running.

This appears likely to rest between the Newmarket raiders Ilraawi and MY LOVE IS KING. The latter is narrowly preferred.

1st (3) (14/1 -100%)Urgent Call |
14/1(-100%) | (3) Urgent Call 14/1, Disappointed on handicap debut when beaten 7 1/2l in a nursery over 8f at Kempton last time but had been in good form previously. Cheekpieces go on for the first time. A big colt bred to want 8–10f and sound surfaces; needs to improve off this mark. Failed to fire on nursery debut latest but still early days and he's now tried in headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (12/1 -41%)Alkumatic Jo Jo |
12/1(-41%) | (6) Alkumatic Jo Jo 12/1, Ran to form when finishing 3l third in a novice over 8f at Bath last time. Effective at 7–8f and acts well on all-weather surfaces. Consistent early in her career and could be on a lenient opening mark. Clear signs of promise in three maiden/novice runs; more needed to defy opening mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (7/2 +30%)Light The Night Up |
7/2(+30%) | (5) Light The Night Up 7/2, Travelled well and was outbattled late but ran to form when 8l third in a novice over 8f here last time. The trainer is in form. Though speedily bred, she appears to need at least 7f and goes well on the all-weather. Opening mark looks fair. In the frame here on her last two starts but in small fields; needs more now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (25/1 -108%)Archangel Josepi |
25/1(-108%) | (7) Archangel Josepi 25/1, Disappointed on handicap debut when beaten 8l in a 6f nursery here last time. Effective at 6f and handles all-weather surfaces. Needs to bounce back to earlier form. Unable to reward market support here on recent nursery debut (6f); 7f should suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (5/2 +58%)Mr Wonka |
5/2(+58%) | (1) Mr Wonka 5/2, Ran to form when finishing 6l third in a nursery at Newmarket on his latest outing. Proven over 7f on all-weather surfaces and generally consistent early in his career. His handicap debut form appears strong. Well held in 3rd on nursery debut but behind two well-treated rivals; down in class today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (3/1 -9%)Boy Named Sioux |
3/1(-9%) | (2) Boy Named Sioux 3/1, Improved when stepped up in trip, winning a handicap by 1/2l off a mark of 68 at Southwell last time. Wears a hood for the first time and hails from a leading course trainer. Effective at 5–7f on all-weather; needs a bit more to defy the rise. Ready win at Southwell two weeks ago; 5lb rise demands more but it's possible; now hooded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (10/3 0%)Illy's Roo |
10/3(0%) | (4) Illy's Roo 10/3, Had too much to do after missing the break and meeting trouble when beaten 4l in a Haydock nursery last time. Effective at 7f and bred to want further up to 10–12f. His novice win may not have come in strong company, but his mark looks fair. Looked good at Salisbury on 2nd run; beaten fav on h'cap debut but had excuses; unexposed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MR WONKA has been dropped 2lb for finishing third on his nursery debut, but that could prove a bit hasty because the winner followed up in Listed company and the runner-up went agonisingly close at Kempton a week later. Hugo Palmer's colt is proven on this surface too, having occupied the runner-up berth in a C&D maiden. Boy Named Sioux overcame a slight bit of waywardness to break through at Southwell and has a hood applied now. Illy's Roo is better than he could show at Haydock, while Light The Night Up and Alkumatic Jo Jo are interesting handicap newcomers.

Mr Wonka looks solid but ILLY'S ROO is given another chance to confirm the impression he created at Salisbury last month.

1st (6) (9/1 +0%)Alfa Patisserie |
9/1(+0%) | (6) Alfa Patisserie 9/1, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a novice over 6f at Pontefract last time. Returning from a break and effective at 6-7f but has yet to build on a promising debut. Nursery debut; not progressed but could be a contender if tapping back into debut promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (3/1 +10%)Popty Ping |
3/1(+10%) | (7) Popty Ping 3/1, Too much to do when ridden to see out the trip, finishing 4 1/4l third in a nursery here most recently. Cheekpieces on for the first time. Effective from 6f to 8f on the all-weather. Inconsistent but capable if repeating that effort. 0-7 but has shown promise here and the first-time cheekpieces could eke out extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (6/1 +45%)Farabove The Limit |
6/1(+45%) | (3) Farabove The Limit 6/1, Disappointing when stepped up in trip and tried in first-time blinkers on handicap debut, finishing down the field in a Bellewstown nursery. Has shown inconsistency. Down the field on all four starts in Ireland for Gordon Elliott, handicap debut last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (16/1 -357%)Parole Officer |
16/1(-357%) | (1) Parole Officer 16/1, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/2l off 67 over 7f at Lingfield last time. Effective from 7f to 8f and handles the all-weather. Quite small but generally reliable. 0-7 for Sean Woods but could be a player now back up to 1m on stable/Tapeta debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (8/1 +0%)Panthere Noir |
8/1(+0%) | (2) Panthere Noir 8/1, Made too much use of when well beaten in a nursery over 7f at Musselburgh latest. Had been in good form before that and consistent until then. Effective at 6-7f. Didn't convince with stamina on sole previous effort at 1m but it was still a positive run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (11/8 +50%)Maxwellcan |
11/8(+50%) | (4) Maxwellcan 11/8, Had every chance but finished below form when comfortably held in a novice at Redcar last time. Likely to need more time and may be better suited by further than 1m. Soundly beaten on all three starts but has useful pedigree and modest opening mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (12/1 -33%)Emerald Coast |
12/1(-33%) | (5) Emerald Coast 12/1, Disappointing on handicap debut when well beaten in a nursery at Bath. Effective over nearly 8f but needs to improve to make an impact in nurseries. Close third on debut in August but well beaten all three starts since, including nursery. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A 2lb drop in the ratings for POPTY PING's latest third over C&D could prove lenient and a breakthrough victory might be on the cards. David O'Meara's filly found herself with too much to do and the introduction of cheekpieces may prove decisive. Stable debutant Parole Officer arrives on the back of a respectable fifth at Lingfield and is feared most, ahead of Panthere Noir, who should take to this surface.

Charlie Johnston is in excellent form and the attractively bred MAXWELLCAN is taken to make a winning nursery debut off a modest mark.

1/3(+72%) | (1) Applesandpears 1/3, Improved under positive handling when winning a novice at Chelmsford over 7f by 3l last time; trainer in form; effective at 6-7f, acts on all-weather; progressing and could defy her penalty. Promise on debut before an easy 7f win on AW latest; obvious chance despite penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (14/1 +13%)Dolos Dream |
14/1(+13%) | (4) Dolos Dream 14/1, 10 Feb; 22,000gns Havana Grey filly; dam useful at 7f. 22,000gns foal; dam a 7f winner (including AW; RPR 79); worth a market check on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/2 -120%)Clementines Star |
11/2(-120%) | (3) Clementines Star 11/2, Had too much to do after meeting trouble at a key stage when a promising debut third, beaten 2l in a maiden here; off a short break; effective at 6f on all-weather; should improve with a clear run. Promising third over C&D in September; open to improvement; one to take seriously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (300/1 -200%)Charcon |
300/1(-200%) | (2) Charcon 300/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; from a yard whose horses generally need more time. Poor form in two runs this autumn; can't be recommended. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (13/2 -136%)Gardening |
13/2(-136%) | (6) Gardening 13/2, 13 Apr; 18,000gns Dandy Man filly; half-sister to Branding, useful at 5f; from a top trainer. 18,000gns half-sister to 5 winners; represents leading yard and needs close market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (50/1 -52%)Luck Money |
50/1(-52%) | (5) Luck Money 50/1, Short of room late and unsuited by the drop in trip when beaten 7l in a maiden over 5f at Catterick last time; bred to be effective from 6f upwards; should improve back at 6f. Two runs last month were both encouraging enough; may be one for nurseries after this. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

APPLESANDPEARS built on encouraging introduction to score in fine style at Chelmsford and with Jack Callan removing a handy 5lb, she can defy a penalty to go in again. Clementines Star posted a positive debut effort over C&D in September and is one of the likelier threats, while it would come as no surprise were Karl Burke's youngster Gardening to go well first time out.

Gardening is a speedily-bred newcomer but APPLESANDPEARS can defy the penalty she picked up when winning tidily at Chelmsford.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (14) (28/1 +30%)Heavenly Heather |
28/1(+30%) | (14) Heavenly Heather 28/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a 7f handicap here last time. Effective at 6f or 7f, suited by a sound surface, but her current mark may be high enough. Shock 7f win here in April and shown that was no fluke since; others still more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (10/1 +38%)Secret Guest |
10/1(+38%) | (6) Secret Guest 10/1, Never threatened when beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Suited by 6f and acts on any surface. Inconsistent but back below his last winning mark. Better than ever when winning at Thirsk in May; mixed bag since and needs a full revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (14/1 +58%)The Caltonian |
14/1(+58%) | (1) The Caltonian 14/1, Disappointing when back up in trip, finishing down the field in a 7f handicap at Southwell most recently. 50/1(-150%) | (10) Arnhem 50/1, Won by a neck off 68 over 5f at Haydock in September, then ran poorly up in grade when 12th, beaten 6l, off 73 last time. Effective at 5f or 6f and acts on any surface; on a workable mark and in fair form before that latest effort. Form dipped at Pontefract last time; higher AW mark to deal with and probably best at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (4/1 +38%)Uncle Don |
4/1(+38%) | (3) Uncle Don 4/1, Ran to form and possibly outstayed late when beaten 3 1/4l off 89 over 7f at Newbury last time. From a top course trainer, effective at 5f or 6f, and needs to build on his recent revival though his mark looks stiff enough. Yet to win a handicap but he has run some good races in defeat this year; AW debut; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (14/1 -75%)Oriental Prince |
14/1(-75%) | (11) Oriental Prince 14/1, Returned to form off a much-reduced mark when winning a 5f handicap here by 2 1/2l off 72 last time. Effective at 6f and acts on the all-weather; remains well treated on old form and goes well over this C&D. Eight wins since December, the latest an easy one over 5f here 16 days ago; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (22/1 -120%)Irish Nectar |
22/1(-120%) | (12) Irish Nectar 22/1, Returned to form down in grade when beaten a head off 77 at Pontefract last time. Suited by 6f and acts on the all-weather; on a fair mark and back in form. Ended time with K Ryan in good form; still feasibly weighted ahead of stable/AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(-100%) | (4) Stratusnine 14/1, Improved up in trip when second, beaten 1 1/4l, in a 2yo race over 7f at York last time. Returns from a long absence. Promising 2yo; absent 402 days (gelded) but brings potential to his AW/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (11/1 +31%)Orne |
11/1(+31%) | (9) Orne 11/1, Ran to his current level of form when beaten 2l off 82 at Pontefract last time. Suited by 6f and probably acts on good ground; has regressed considerably. Down in weights and returned to form at Pontefract latest; others still more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (22/1 +33%)The Turpinator |
22/1(+33%) | (13) The Turpinator 22/1, Didn't get a run and wasn't given a hard time when beaten 5l in a 7f handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 6f or 7f; has something to prove on recent efforts though the handicapper is easing his mark. Not shone after a summer break but this C&D winner has slipped to a handy mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (11/1 +0%)Mr Cool |
11/1(+0%) | (8) Mr Cool 11/1, Ran to form but got racing early and set it up for a closer when beaten 1 1/4l off 80 at Kempton last time. Effective at 5f or 6f and acts on the all-weather; in form but now on his highest mark. Having a good year and latest 2nd was behind a thriving opponent; needs to step up again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (7) (10/3 +0%)Maelstrom |
10/3(+0%) | (7) Maelstrom 10/3, Ran to form and needed the run when 5 1/2l third in a handicap at Newbury most recently. The trainer is in form; effective at 6f, has a good attitude and appears to have more to come. Started 2025 with three handicap wins; two runs since both suggest he's capable of better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

This is competitive and only a tentative vote can go to ORNE. Antony Brittain's charge has been falling down the handicap for some time now, but there were encouraging signs at Pontefract last month. If he takes another step forward on the Tapeta, it will be surprising if he doesn't play a leading role. Recent course winner Oriental Prince is of obvious interest, as is the progressive Maelstrom, and Stratusnine should not be underestimated on his comeback.

6f on deep ground was all too much for MAELSTROM (nap) last month but he can prove here that he is still ahead of the handicapper.

5/2(+58%) | (5) Stateira 5/2, Below form when up in grade and beaten 5l in a handicap at Southwell last time, returning from a break. Effective over 7f to 8f on the all-weather and yet to prove as effective on turf; her mark looks stiff. Below par last time but interesting on her best efforts and not yet exposed; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (12/1 -60%)Donna Nook |
12/1(-60%) | (6) Donna Nook 12/1, Hinted at a return to form when allowed a very easy lead but beaten 3l off 80 at Lingfield last time. Effective over 8f to 10f and acts on all-weather; on a workable mark but needs to bounce back. Had few chances on AW and it seems to suit her well; should make another bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (17/2 -6%)Selection |
17/2(-6%) | (7) Selection 17/2, Won by 2 1/2l off 70 here on her penultimate start; a bit below form off a revised mark when fifth beaten 4l off 76 last time. 6/1(-71%) | (2) Queen Of Atlantis 6/1, Outclassed when finishing down the field in the Prix Dahlia (Listed) over 10f at Saint-Cloud most recently. Effective between 8f and 10f on all-weather and very consistent in handicaps. Stiff task last time; record of 3-4 in AW handicaps piques interest back down in grade. |

12/1(-71%) | (9) Wonderbolt 12/1, Raced far too freely when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; trainer in form. Effective over 7f to 8f on the all-weather; needs to settle better to show her true form. Won her first two handicaps in August; below par twice since; still early days. |

7th (4) (14/1 +13%)Elsie's Ruan |
14/1(+13%) | (4) Elsie's Ruan 14/1, Up in trip and may not have stayed when down the field in a handicap over 12f at Catterick last time; wide draw. Effective over 7f as a 2yo on faster ground but has plenty to prove after four poor runs this season. Struggled this year but drops back in trip and has slipped a long way down the weights. |

8th (1) (16/1 -33%)Bellarchi |
16/1(-33%) | (1) Bellarchi 16/1, Scored by 3/4l off 84 over 7f at Musselburgh three starts back; found little when eighth beaten 19l off 86 last time. Effective over 7f to 8f and acts on any surface but has not been at her best on recent starts and her mark looks stiff enough. Four wins in 2025, including Tapeta; fair mark but needs to rebound from two heavy defeats. |

9th (3) (10/1 -122%)Bernalda |
10/1(-122%) | (3) Bernalda 10/1, Won by 4l off 73 here on her penultimate start; raced too freely and challenged too early when fifth beaten 5 1/2l off 73 last time. Effective over 8f to 10f on the all-weather; not the most enthusiastic but blinkers have helped and she could bounce back. Bolted up over C&D in September but beaten off 9lb lower mark than this next time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A wide draw was the undoing of BERNALDA last time, but that should not be an issue here and the otherwise progressive daughter of Frankel is expected to bounce straight back. Stateira was given some time off following an underwhelming second appearance in a handicap and she remains open to improvement so it would be unwise to rule her out. Of the remainder, Donna Nook makes the most appeal.

Andrew Balding's STATEIRA still has some potential and her peak effors suggest there is still mileage in her mark.

2nd (7) (5/2 +64%)Dandy Dinmont |
5/2(+64%) | (7) Dandy Dinmont 5/2, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off 67 over 6f here last time; wide draw; effective at 5/6f; mark still competitive and consistent. Reliable sprinter who was 3rd over 6f here last month; each-way shout once more. |

10/3(+26%) | (2) Spirit Of Applause 10/3, Scored by a head off 66 at Southwell in September; travelled well and ran to form when third beaten 1 1/4l off 69 last time; best at 5f; in form with a competitive mark. Reliable on AW; close third over C&D ten days ago; in the mix once again. |

4th (9) (7/1 +7%)Our Absent Friends |
7/1(+7%) | (9) Our Absent Friends 7/1, Scored by 1/2l off 62 at Redcar in September; ran to form when third beaten 2 1/4l off 64 last time; wide draw; suited by 5f; inconsistent but capable off this mark. Prominent racer; two-time C&D winner; in good order but needs more to take this. |

5th (10) (33/1 -50%)Opal Storm |
33/1(-50%) | (10) Opal Storm 33/1, Never threatened when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap here last time; effective at 5f; generally consistent but her mark looks about right. Needs everything to fall right and others in this field have more compelling claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (13/2 +54%)Ay Gee Ell |
13/2(+54%) | (5) Ay Gee Ell 13/2, No obvious excuse when beaten 4l off 71 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; top course trainer; effective at 5f though not fully proven over 6f; in poor form since returning from a break. Ten-race maiden; down in the weights but he still looks vulnerable for win purposes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (33/1 -65%)Mersea |
33/1(-65%) | (4) Mersea 33/1, Below form up in grade when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time; enjoys racing prominently; wide draw; best at 5f; inconsistent of late. Never in contention over C&D ten days ago; that was after a break but others are safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (16/1 -146%)J Street |
16/1(-146%) | (1) J Street 16/1, Ran to form when beaten a short-head off 70 at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 5f; fair mark if building on recent revival. Good run at Wolverhampton last month; makes stable debut off a handy mark; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (11/2 -83%)Macarone |
11/2(-83%) | (8) Macarone 11/2, Ran to form off a new mark, winning well by 1 1/4l off 62 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 5-7f; respected up 4lb bidding for a C&D hat-trick. Chasing hat-trick after two 6f Wolverhampton wins; quick enough for 5f; leading contender. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MACARONE has been rejuvenated by a switch to Ivan Furtado and completed a Wolverhampton double with a dominant display. He possesses plenty of pace so, if anything, the drop from 6f could see him in an even better light. J Street burst back into life when upgraded to second on that same Wolverhampton card, and has since left Furtado to join Mick and David Easterby. The Tim Easterby-trained Spirit Of Applause helps give the family a strong hand, with Dandy Dinmont and Our Absent Friends in the mix too.

A competitive sprint in which the return of cheekpieces could see TIRIAC make his first AW start a winning one.
Ths is the racecard key.
