15:45 Newcastle (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Prince Quattro went agonisingly close on his Flat handicap bow at Southwell and further progress looks likely, but ARCIMBOLDO could be the value. Mike Sowersby's charge was unfancied when third over C&D two starts ago and went under the radar once again at Southwell last time, going down narrowly. The three-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement and this lowly mark looks well within range. Others to note include Different Drum and Educate.

Topweight PRINCE QUATTRO is taken to build on his latest effort and add to his hurdles wins. Different Drum is second pick.

16:15 Newcastle (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THE TUNGUSKA EVENT took a giant leap forward to score emphatically on his nursery debut and although 9lb higher, he could still have plenty in hand. An opening mark of 68 looks fair for Yorkshire Queen who, like the selection, can do better now handicapping. Mereside Princess might not be suited by a drop in trip but she must enter calculations nonetheless.

A 9lb rise may not stop THE TUNGUSKA EVENT from following up his successful nursery debut over C&D 11 days ago.

16:45 Newcastle (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CLOUDS HILL and Monty Beau have produced a similar level of form on both of their starts so far, but the former shades preference. It was no disgrace to be beaten by the now 97-rated Archivist at Leicester last time out and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice. Forest Caper continues to frustrate, but is more than capable.

This can go to CLOUDS HILL who has finished runner-up in both starts on turf and whose sire has a good record here.

17:15 Newcastle (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Jack Callan has won on his last two rides on Unassuming, including at Wolverhampton last month, but the mare was a costly failure on her only previous try at this trip so is passed over in favour of BENACRE. Charlie Johnston's five-year-old has held his form well since a Southwell success and is a 7f specialist. Eldrickjones has slipped to a nice mark and will relish the return to Newcastle, whereas Kullazain isn't proven on the surface but has kept good company.

The vote goes to KING'S LYNN (nap) who is 2lb lower than when beaten a head in a 0-110 contest over C&D in August.

18:15 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Ardaddy returned from an absence a different animal, breaking his duck at Southwell last month, and the third has gone close since to give the form a little boost. However, the decision to turn PIT BOSS out again quickly can reap reward because Liam Bailey's gelding was just denied over C&D and competes off the same rating. Law Degree, a good third at Musselburgh recently, has had plenty of racing during his two seasons, yet this is his first appearance on an artificial surface.

Despite a 4lb rise ARDADDY is taken to follow up last month's successful return from 206 days off at Southwell.

18:45 Newcastle (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The stands side rail has become something of a golden highway on the straight course here and, berthed well in stall 11, HAWORTH STAR could use that to his advantage. The son of Bated Breath was something of an unfortunate second over C&D latest and compensation may await. Dr Ali outran big odds to finish second at Southwell and is respected from an unchanged mark, as is Flash The Dash, who was better than the bare result would suggest last time.

Off a very attractive mark returned to the scene of his peak effort, VAULT OF HEAVEN is preferred. Haworth Star is second pick.

19:15 Newcastle (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A return to the all-weather worked the oracle for KORROOR last time and a 4lb rise looks fair. The four-year-old gets on well with Tom Kiely-Marshall and remains well treated on past exploits, so another big run is anticipated. A Lady Forever appeared ready for a step up in trip latest and she could be a real danger, along with the likes of Bishop's Glory and Glendown, while Rory shouldn't be underestimated either.

This may be the time to catch GLENDOWN, who recorded his sole AW success exactly a year ago. Korroor is second choice.

19:45 Newcastle (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ALLIGATOR ALLEY lost all chance at the start after his blindfold was removed late last time, but he defeated a few of these over C&D the start prior and may well bounce back. He's not the force of old but Ruth Carr's eight-year-old retains plenty of ability and might be too strong for Blue Lakota, who recorded a narrow C&D triumph recently. Miss Hathaway hit the woodwork at Southwell and is expected to go well from her handy draw.

This can go to ALLIGATOR ALLEY who returned to winning form over C&D last month and had excuses back here last time.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
