11:42 Newcastle (Class 2) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Gaelic Rover made a promising start over timber when placed at Ayr on his Rules debut. This shorter trip is not certain to suit Ballyeaston, third over 2m4f at Aintree on his hurdling bow, so the vote goes to LE BEAU MADRIK. Second in both starts in bumpers, including at Cheltenham last month, Dan Skelton's charge is likely to feature in the finish once again now hurdling for the first time.

Dan Skelton's runner LE BEAU MADRIK has shown strong form when runner-up in both bumpers and is taken to make a winning hurdle debut.

12:15 Newcastle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The winner of four of his last six starts, HELLO JUDGE may not have finished yet, given the ease of his recent victory at Hexham. Only 3lb higher, Ann Hamilton's charge is taken to make the most of this drop in class and go in again. Maghlaak made a successful debut over fences at Southwell and he should have more to offer, while Carlisle runner-up Grand Geste will be sharper and could be in the mix.

The lightly raced 6yo GRAND GESTE was a promising second on his chase debut at Carlisle four weeks ago and can go one better today.

12:50 Newcastle (Class 2) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Tony Martin sends ZANNDABAD over from Ireland with a leading chance. Runner-up in this contest last year, the six-year-old opened his account over hurdles with a facile victory at Sedgefield last month and will take all the beating on today's terms. Just Golden will likely have learned plenty from his second at Uttoxeter. He could prove the main danger, ahead of Out Of The Woods and Get On George, who are penalised for winning at Hexham and Wetherby respectively.

A chance is taken on SPREADSHEET GURU. His bumper second at Ayr reads well and the tongue-tie could help on this second hurdle start.

13:25 Newcastle (Class 3) 29f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

THE BIG BREAC looks to have improved again over the summer, at least judging by his impressive chasing debut at Wetherby. He has been raised 7lb, plus he has to compete from 1lb out of the handicap, but there should be plenty more to come from him. Ribeye maintained his solid level of consistency when filling the runner-up berth behind a stablemate of the selection at the Charlie Hall meeting, while dour stayer Dom Of Mary started off for James Owen with a Kelso third over an inadequate trip.

Exploits in the Sussex National over Plumpton's extended 3m4f augur well for DOM OF MARY (nap)'s chance. Wal Buck's is feared.

14:00 Newcastle (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The vibes surrounding Constitution Hill have been positive as he attempts to get his career back on track in a race he took in 2022 on his way to dominating the two-mile division. His problems since have been well documented and his Cheltenham and Aintree falls, as well as a lacklustre display at Punchestown, are still relatively fresh in the memory, and he now locks horns with a couple of unbeaten up-and-comers. Anzadam attempts to fill the sidelined State Man's shoes for the Mullins/Donnelly combination but THE NEW LION was so impressive when landing the Challow and Turners and, with his high cruising speed, he could be even better at this trip.

Constitution Hill is on the comeback trail but the highly promising ANZADAM is preferred ahead of Turners winner The New Lion.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Brace For Landing is the one with his best days ahead of him, but a mark of 120 seems stiff enough for what he has actually achieved and it may be safer to side with SERIOUS OPERATOR. The C&D winner finished third behind a couple of progressive hurdlers at Aintree and this might not be quite as competitive. Homme Public switches back from chasing with a chance, while Hamsiyann remains nicely treated in this sphere if he can get his act together.

The step up in trip could be a big positive for the ex-French 4yo BRACE FOR LANDING on his handicap debut, and he earns the vote.

15:15 Newcastle (Class 1) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

JASMIN DE GRUGY has only finished outside the top two once since handicapping, and even then he was third. A trip to the Punchestown Festival back in the spring was rewarded with a silver medal in Listed company and he should have more to offer this campaign. Cruz Control struck on the Grand National card for the second year running and will be a threat if fully wound up. Deafening Silence also returns to the fray with claims, whereas Konfusion unseated at Haydock just last week and is out again for quick redemption.

Having unseated mid-race when favourite at Haydock last Saturday, the progressive 7yo KONFUSION can make amends today.
