The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

After a brace of C&D wins, combined with a couple of placed efforts from his last four starts, WITHOUT COMPROMISE is developing into a course specialist. With this representing a drop down in class, he has a good chance of enhancing his profile. Molinari has something to find with the selection based on an encounter here last month. However, he also likes this venue and is 6lb better offer this time. Golspie and Blue Sky Boy complete the shortlist.

This can go to WITHOUT COMPROMISE who has been running consistently well over C&D lately and seems sure to run another big race.

11/2(-100%) | (1) Yorkshire Queen 11/2, Bit keen but produced her best run so far when beaten a neck off 68 here last time. Effective at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather; may prove vulnerable back in novice company. Beaten a neck on nursery debut over C&D last month; up 2lb but still a player. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

UP THE AGENDA appeared to have something up his sleeve when forcing Somebody and Houndhill to settle for minor honours over C&D. He reopposes on marginally worse terms and his rivals have headgear applied in an attempt to close the gap, but Jack Morland's youngster can confirm his superiority. Yorkshire Queen can't be ruled out with any sort of confidence either.

Three met over C&D 11 days ago with UP THE AGENDA first, Somebody second and Houndhill third. The winner can score again.

66/1(-100%) | (3) Manbearpig 66/1, Ran okay after a slow break when beaten 7 1/4l in a novice at Wolverhampton last time. Seemed to stay 10f, acts on all-weather, and is open to improvement. Out of the frame in both starts; looks one for handicaps. |

80/1(-60%) | (5) Red House 80/1, 23 Feb; 12,000 euros Ulysses gelding; half-brother to Moby Quick, fair at 7f; dam smart at 6f; tough enough task on debut. Already gelded and stable not known for winning 2yo newcomers. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LIGHTENING LAD attracted market support ahead of his introduction and although it took a while for the penny to drop, he made good late headway to chase home a short-priced favourite here. The extra furlong is in his favour, although Alba Gu Brath also made a debut full of promise when runner-up to a smart prospect at Kempton and is a big threat. Reem Rak has the advantage of two runs under her belt and her last-start second to an unbeaten filly entitles her to plenty of respect.

The selection is ALBA GU BRATH who showed plenty of promise when second on his Kempton debut and whose sire has a fine record here.

14/1(+22%) | (4) Lion's House 14/1, Again below form when beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 5f and 6f on a sound surface and now below his last winning mark if bouncing back. 4lb below last winning mark, but has over 6l to find with Fidelius on latest running. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (33/1 +0%)D Flawless |
33/1(+0%) | (5) D Flawless 33/1, Made too much use of and again below form when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Thirsk last time. Effective at 7f and 8f on all-weather; needs to bounce back. Has become regressive; watch market down to 5f on return from seven months off. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (20/1 -150%)Bonito Cavalo |
20/1(-150%) | (10) Bonito Cavalo 20/1, Below form on ground too soft when finishing down the field in a handicap at Ayr most recently. Returning from a short break; effective 5-7f and best on all-weather but out of form since returning from a lay-off. Won six times here early last year, but has shown little since returning in July. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BONNIE'S BOY scored over C&D before finishing well for fourth back at this venue off his revised mark. The combination of Warren Fentiman's 5lb claim along with a first-time visor gives him a strong chance of getting his head back in front. Jm Jhingree came out on top here last week when getting the better of True Promise, who was finishing second for the third race in a row, and the pair command plenty of respect. Others to note are Tiriac and Fidelius.

The vote goes to JM JHINGREE who was making his AW debut when beating True Promise over C&D eight days ago.

2nd (3) (13/8 +19%)Pocklington |
13/8(+19%) | (3) Pocklington 13/8, Ran to form when beaten a short head off 96 at Doncaster last time after a short break; effective around 6f and can go well back on the all-weather if lasting the trip. Has gone down by less than a length in his last four starts; 7f looks worth exploring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 +0%)Storm Star |
11/4(+0%) | (2) Storm Star 11/4, Well backed and improved again when landing the All-Weather Championships Mile by 1 1/4l off 95 over 8f here last time; trainer in form; effective at 8f and acts on all-weather; capable off this mark back from an absence. Record here is 13111; major player if market suggests he is ready after eight months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (8/1 -33%)Eldrickjones |
8/1(-33%) | (6) Eldrickjones 8/1, Strong at finish, improved in landing a handicap by a neck off 85 here last time; suited by 7f, acts on S, GF, AW; respected up 3lb. Five wins here, but has found this level a bit too warm for him in the past. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (18/1 -80%)Midnight Lion |
18/1(-80%) | (8) Midnight Lion 18/1, Scored by 1 1/2l off 77 at Ayr in September; ran to form when fifth last time; enjoys making it; effective 7-10f, acts on S, G, AW; can be competitive again. Has won seven times here over 7f/1m2f, but will do well to dominate this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (25/1 -79%)Doctor Khan Junior |
25/1(-79%) | (4) Doctor Khan Junior 25/1, Bit keen and probably needed the race when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; had been in good form prior and returns from a long layoff; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather; likely to need this. 5-9 on the AW but well held on his return in February and has been off again since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Houquetot is a fascinating contender on his first start for David O'Meara, having won a Group 3 as a juvenile in France, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the run was needed after a gelding operation. Storm Star completed a hat-trick on All-Weather Finals day here and has to be respected, despite a career-high mark, but POCKLINGTON gets the vote. He has been knocking on the door in ultra-competitive sprint handicaps and has shaped as though 7f might bring about further progression.

It may be worth siding with POCKLINGTON who likes it here (112) and who looks well worth a go over this far.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (40/1 -122%)Brian The Snail |
40/1(-122%) | (9) Brian The Snail 40/1, No-show after a slow start when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Carlisle last time. In good form prior and returns from a break. Effective at 5/6f and acts on the all-weather. Better than showed latest. Three wins here, but will need to hit the ground running to win this after 103 days off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (11/1 +21%)Dorney Lake |
11/1(+21%) | (2) Dorney Lake 11/1, Again below spring best when beaten 3l off 85 at Newmarket (July) last time. Returning from a break. Effective at 6/7f. Out of sorts of late. Makes his stable debut after four months off; held in only AW start; enough to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NORTHERN SPIRIT won in this grade here over 5f in August before following up with two solid efforts in quick succession at a higher level. The handicapper dropped him 1lb for his latest fourth at Ascot in September and he makes plenty of appeal in a much easier assignment. Heavenly Heather boasts obvious claims after her recent seconds over C&D, while Dandy Magic is another to consider.

This can go to HEAVENLY HEATHER (nap) who has run really well to finish runner-up over C&D on her last two outings.

10/3(-11%) | (1) Bajan Bandit 10/3, Back to form when showing a good attitude to land a handicap by 1/2l off 68 here last time. 5th (2) (5/1 +41%)Samra Star |
5/1(+41%) | (2) Samra Star 5/1, Scored by 2l off 65 here in October; again below form last time; effective 7-9f, suited by AW; lost form of late. C&D winner in October off 3lb lower; held since, though was only 2l away three runs back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 +40%)Bobby Joe Leg |
12/1(+40%) | (4) Bobby Joe Leg 12/1, Found little and ran below form when beaten 10l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 7f and much better on the all-weather, but a bounce back is needed. Prolific AW winner but turns 12 soon and he was last to finish here 11 days ago. |

7th (7) (12/1 -85%)Macarone |
12/1(-85%) | (7) Macarone 12/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off 62 at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start but was too keen and didn't get home last time. Effective at 5-7f and acts on the all-weather; a bounce back is needed. Won two 6f handicaps at Wolverhampton but dropped out tamely returned to 5f here last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (7/1 -8%)Beelzebub |
7/1(-8%) | (5) Beelzebub 7/1, The yard won this race last year. Below form when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time; effective at 6/7f and acts on the all-weather. A bounce back is needed. Some fair efforts this year for previous yard but only eighth here on debut for this one. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Supporters of the hat-trick seeking Macarone left empty-handed when he finished stone last over 5f here, but the step back up in trip might reward those sticking with him. Even so, it may pay to side with JAMAICAN STORM, who failed to land a blow when fifth over a mile here last month. However, now 2lb lower and dropping a furlong in trip with Paul Mulrennan back in the plate, he is worth another chance. Bajan Bandit completes the shortlist.

Having finally exploited his reduced mark here 11 days ago perhaps BAJAN BANDIT can go in again off just 1lb higher.

1st (1) (5/2 +29%)Yaaser |
5/2(+29%) | (1) Yaaser 5/2, Travelled well and flattened out late when beaten 3l off 71 here last time. Ridden by a top course jockey and usually held up. Effective from 6f to 8f and acts on any surface. Has a chance if building on that latest effort. Ran well enough here last time to believe he could be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (9/2 -80%)Lessay |
9/2(-80%) | (6) Lessay 9/2, Ran to form and finished strongly to land a handicap by a neck off 64 at Wolverhampton last time. Trainer in form. Effective over 7f to 8f and acts on all-weather. Respected despite a 2lb rise. Got up late on the drop back to 7f at Wolverhampton; only 2lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (17/2 +15%)Just Typical |
17/2(+15%) | (5) Just Typical 17/2, Won by 3 1/4l off 62 at Redcar in September but below form and didn't find much last time. Suited by 8f, acts on all-weather, and can be quirky due to breathing issues but remains capable. Nothing good to say about his last two runs but he does run this track well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/1 -13%)Brazilian Rose |
9/1(-13%) | (3) Brazilian Rose 9/1, Stopped quickly and ran below form when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Effective from 6f to 7f and acts on all-weather. Needs to bounce back to previous form. Triple course winner; not easy to predict but continues to run well now and again. |

5th (2) (7/2 +30%)Judgment Call |
7/2(+30%) | (2) Judgment Call 7/2, Bit below his best when beaten 2 1/2l off 69 here last time. Enjoys making the running and is effective at 6f to 7f. Acts on all-weather surfaces. Needs to bounce back. Two good runs in defeat before the blindfold was removed late here 19 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (14/1 -27%)Outrun The Storm |
14/1(-27%) | (7) Outrun The Storm 14/1, Below form when the ground was too soft in a Musselburgh handicap last time. Trained by a top course handler. Effective at 7f and acts on all-weather. Inconsistent in 2025 but fairly treated. Multiple winner but has become hard to predict; three of last four runs have been modest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (25/1 -56%)Jachin |
25/1(-56%) | (8) Jachin 25/1, Won by 2l off 59 here in September but ran well below form after a slow start last time. Visor fitted for the first time. Suited by 8f and acts on all-weather. Inconsistent performer. Course winner; wouldn't be handicapped out of it should the visor do something for him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (11/2 +8%)Jesmond Dawn |
11/2(+8%) | (4) Jesmond Dawn 11/2, Scored by 4 1/4l off 58 here in November; bit below form last time; effective 7/8f, acts on a sound surface; competitive mark still. In the form of his life in November and his final race didn't go entirely to plan. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LESSAY scored at Wolverhampton a week ago with much more in hand than the winning margin of a neck would suggest. The son of Churchill remains on a workable mark, despite a 2lb rise, and that augurs well for another bold bid. Jesmond Dawn is usually in the mix at this level and warrants respect, while Yaaser is potentially well treated compared to his winning form on the turf.

The 4yo JESMOND DAWN was going great runs until his last run here and that race didn't pan out too favourably for him.

2nd (2) (9/1 -38%)Tasever |
9/1(-38%) | (2) Tasever 9/1, Ran to form and was worn down late when beaten 1 1/2l off 60 here last time; trainer in form; effective at 7/8f and best form now comes on the all-weather; much improved of late. Goes well here and bang there on his last two visits; back up 2lb but in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/1 -56%)Marry The Night |
7/1(-56%) | (3) Marry The Night 7/1, Ran to form when strong at finish in landing a handicap by 1/2l off 56 at Southwell last time; suited by 8f, acts on any, likes AW; in good form at Southwell, should act here. Followed two seconds with his win at Southwell and only 3lb higher for this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (17/2 +23%)Harswell Duke |
17/2(+23%) | (7) Harswell Duke 17/2, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 57 here last time; effective 7-9f and acts on the all-weather; this headgear combination has worked well the last twice. Has only won in the mud but running well enough to believe he won't be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (11/8 +75%)Typeface |
11/8(+75%) | (8) Typeface 11/8, Ran to form when second beaten 4l in a handicap here latest; usually held up; suited by 8f, acts on a sound surface; respected once again. Bumped into one well treated last time; second to Wyvern the run before. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SECOND FIDDLE's winning run came to end when third here last month. However, this looks an easier opportunity and it would be no surprise if she resumed winning ways, with Cara Tuke looking good value for her 5lb allowance. Wyvern bounced back when successful over C&D three weeks ago. He remains of interest raised only 2lb, while Southwell scorer Marry The Night and Tasever are others to consider.

A few with chances in an open race. \bTYPEFACE\ is compiling a solid profile and the 3yo retains some upside.
Ths is the racecard key.
