17:45 Newmarket (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Charlie Appleby has won three of the last five renewals, including last year's contest with the subsequent Group 1 winner Shadow Of Light, and BECKFORD'S FOLLY is seemingly held in high regard based on his entries in the Gimcrack and Mill Reef. He returned the impressive winner over C&D in June and the runner-up has boosted that form since. Ahead Of Fashion and Daretobedifferent look those most likely to fight it out for second.

Charlie Appleby has won three of the last five runnings of this and C&D winner BECKFORD'S FOLLY is likely to take plenty of beating.

18:20 Newmarket (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JIMMY KNOCKER is edging closer to getting his head back in front. Andi Brown's charge was beaten less than a length at Yarmouth last time, despite having to be switched for a clear run, and it could be his turn again. Royal Musketeer has to be forgiven a disappointing effort last time, though has a shout on his second here before that, while the recent Wolverhampton winner Ballsgrove Boy is noted too.

This looks open. JIMMY KNOCKER was sent off favourite last time at Yarmouth and ran well from a good way off the pace.

18:55 Newmarket (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WAITING ALL NIGHT makes plenty of appeal after going close over C&D last time. He won this contest off the same mark last year and Richard Spencer's charge can launch another strong challenge. Walson's Law arrives in fine form, having won two of his last three outings, though has been raised 7lb for his latest success at Newbury, while Bell Shot could also have a say in proceedings.

The free-going WALSON'S LAW (nap) needs to be smuggled into his races but this could be run to suit him and he won nicely at Newbury.

19:27 Newmarket (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Aeolian gets 7lb from the previous winners in this field and, after a promising debut second, she warrants a place on the shortlist. La Scanderbeide won well at Yarmouth last month and seems likely to play her part, but a chance is taken on HOT FLAME. The winner of her only start at Yarmouth last October, she went into the notebook after keeping on well over the mile despite showing plenty of signs of inexperience.

Her comeback run was thoroughly underwhelming but PARTICIPLE should really have beaten a Group-class filly on last year's debut.

John Berry does remarkably well with his small string and will be hoping that Cloudy Rose can land her hat-trick after successes at Brighton and Doncaster, but she has to give 3lb to the younger EMILY REBECCA which looks a big ask. She battled on well to win by a neck at Salisbury latest and won't go down without a fight. Not Now Nathaniel and perhaps Inlet could also get involved.

Donald McCain's NOT NOW NATHANIEL kept battling away for second at Haydock and this track should suit her well.

DASHING DONKEY made all to come home three and a half lengths clear of his rivals over C&D last month and, although upped 7lb by the handicapper, that may not be enough to stop him if he can get an easy time on the front end. Liv My Life wasn't beaten far at Southwell in April and although she's disappointed since, she could be a player back up to a mile. H Key Lails is the pick for third.

This is wide open. The race perhaps came too soon when OPTIMATUM was beaten at odds-on last time and he gets another chance.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
