1st (1) (8/13 +26%)Yes Indeed |
8/13(+26%) | (1) Yes Indeed 8/13, Suited by drop in trip when landed handicap by 4l off 112 over 2m1f at Stratford last time; remains thrown in on French form; can follow up Comfortable winner on stable debut last month; 6lb rise may not be enough to stop a repeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 -100%)Famoso |
4/1(-100%) | (2) Famoso 4/1, Ran to form 6l third in a handicap chase at Ludlow most recent run; steadily progressive; top jockey back on board; good ground suits; threat Back on track last time and this tight venue should suit; should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/4 +39%)Dexter |
11/4(+39%) | (3) Dexter 11/4, Raced freely fourth beaten 13l in a handicap chase at Ludlow latest; should come on for that; good mark on French form; may find ground on the quick side Shaped encouragingly on last month's return from a 556-day break; can do better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The face value of YES INDEED's winning return at Stratford gives the eight-year-old an obvious chance of registering back-to-back wins given he seemed to respond well for the retained rider, Sean Bowen. That said, Famoso gets 12lb from Bowen's mount and is capable of making this a good test on these terms. Dexter has something to find with the latter based on their encounter at Ludlow three weeks ago and needs everything to go his way if he is going to spring a surprise.

None of the three can be ruled out but YES INDEED might be the sort to run up a sequence and can win again.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/2 -22%)Sevenofus |
11/2(-22%) | (7) Sevenofus 11/2, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Taunton last time where far too keen; down in trip; bit to find Ran well under Elizabeth Gale two starts back; recent form a big plus in this race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(+80%) | (4) Johannes 4/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Exeter latest where unsuited by heavy; blinkers first time; usually held up; not proven trip; bit to find and stamina concerns Pulled up in four of last five and tailed off in the other; blinkers replace cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (11/1 +56%)Zufal |
11/1(+56%) | (3) Zufal 11/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Taunton most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; bit to find Has struggled since a good effort here 23 months ago; market check advised. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Iris Des Issards is a potential improver with cheekpieces tried for just the second time, while She Has Notions, who was sensibly pulled up after a bad mistake at Catterick when last seen, commands respect off 2lb below his last winning mark and can figure if his jumping holds up better. Nevertheless, this really won't take much winning and a speculative vote goes to BOSKILL BORDEN, who is back on a winning rating and he could provide a bit of value in a weak event.

This is unlikely to take much winning and looks a golden opportunity for IRIS DES ISSARDS to land a first success

11/2(-10%) | (3) Jokers 'n' Clowns 11/2, Down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Punchestown most recent; inconsistent in Ireland; trainer in form; step up in trip a plus; could figure on stable debut Irish point winner; mixed over hurdles; sold for £1,400 in February; new yard going well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MIGHTY FLEUR has jumps winners in her pedigree and could be well placed by Peter and Michael Bowen as she bids to make a winning start over hurdles. Having finished placed in three bumpers in 2024, the daughter of Scorpion ticks the right boxes and looks ready for this next phase of her development. Merry Shuil hinted at ability when fourth at Carlisle on her debut over timber in February and can play a strong role with another step forward. Jokers 'N' Clowns is readily suggested as the best of the remainder.

Mighty Fleur can go well on her hurdle debut but MERRY SHUIL is taken to improve upon her first attempt in this discipline.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (5/2 +9%)Musique De Fee |
5/2(+9%) | (3) Musique De Fee 5/2, Ideally suited by trip when landed handicap by 3l off 102 over 3m3f at Sedgefield last time; previous win franked; in the mix in hat trick bid though easy lead unlikely Thriving mare who's on a hat-trick; bold bid on the cards. |

11/2(-22%) | (2) Pike Road 11/2, Below par 14l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m5f at Haydock most recent run where trip too sharp; progressing prior; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; contender with Bowen booked Unexposed, this is his second handicap, and the cheekpieces and new trip could unlock more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (12/1 -71%)Lightonthewing |
12/1(-71%) | (6) Lightonthewing 12/1, Travelled well when scored by 1 1/2l off 84 over 3m at Chepstow penultimate start; third beaten 44l off 89 last time; remains well treated on chase form; not out of it Latest chasing flop can be forgiven and won over hurdles previously; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (16/1 +11%)Guy |
16/1(+11%) | (1) Guy 16/1, Wide trip well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Doncaster latest; generally out of form; top jockey back on board; good mark on chase form; up in trip; huge stamina concerns No impact in two hurdles this year and has stamina to prove; passed over. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/2 +44%)Townhill |
9/2(+44%) | (4) Townhill 9/2, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m1f at Catterick latest where went too fast; generally out of form; C&D winner off 1lb higher last summer; interesting Quiet since making all over C&D last June but down to a dangerous mark; could bounce back. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MUSIQUE DE FEE bolted up over an extended 3m1f at Hereford on her penultimate start before defying an 11lb rise at Sedgefield three weeks ago, and Georgina Nicholls' progressive mare is fancied to complete the hat-trick despite a further 7lb hike. Coconut Twist won under Robbie David at Exeter recently and he's unlikely to be far away, while Guy should not be overlooked.

Cases can be made for most of these but the thriving mare MUSIQUE DE FEE (nap) is taken to land the hat-trick.

5/2(-100%) | (3) Jaramillo 5/2, Second beaten 7l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Wincanton latest; consistent over hurdles and fences; unexposed in this sphere; good ground suits; contender Just two chase runs; no match for winner latest (2m4f, good) but may yet do better. |

2nd (2) (11/8 +45%)Investment Manager |
11/8(+45%) | (2) Investment Manager 11/8, Something amiss comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Taunton last time; generally out of form; down in trip; back below last winning mark; saves best for this venue; can bounce back Course specialist who won 3m2f chase and hurdle here in 2024; not ruled out back here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/8 +19%)Lord Baddesley |
13/8(+19%) | (1) Lord Baddesley 13/8, Raced freely well beaten in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Doncaster latest; quirky and inconsistent; this a big drop in grade; trainer in form; down in trip; threat if getting stiff test Good 4th at Newbury (2m4f) in November; this is a welcome lowering of his sights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Jaramillo has shown enough to suggest his current mark is well within range over fences, but the vote goes to INVESTMENT MANAGER. Although below-par on his last two starts, Joe Tizzard's gelding seldom runs poorly here with a record of five wins from 11 visits (two over hurdles). If allowed to dictate terms, he could be tough to beat. Lord Baddesley can chase the pair home.

This isn't a strong race for the grade and LORD BADDESLEY can make the most of the drop in grade now back at 2m5f.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (3/1 +54%)Border Gem |
3/1(+54%) | (4) Border Gem 3/1, Fourth beaten 14l in a bumper over 2m at Hereford latest; trainer in form; off a short-break; feasible threat if progressing Signs of ability in both bumpers on good to soft; can improve; yard in fine form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (16/1 +52%)Ben Lomond |
16/1(+52%) | (1) Ben Lomond 16/1, Below par fourth beaten 42l in a bumper over 2m2f at Fontwell latest; plenty more needed to figure Just minor promise in two bumpers; has a nice pedigree and may do better on good ground. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (13/2 -247%)Josh Central |
13/2(-247%) | (7) Josh Central 13/2, Well beaten in a bumper over 2m at Taunton only start behind more experienced rivals; poorly placed to challenge that day; Bowen takes over; claims obvious Tough task on debut but shaped promisingly and can do better in this easier race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 +15%)Jeepster |
28/1(+15%) | (6) Jeepster 28/1, Below par down the field in a 4yo bumper at Doncaster most recent; yet to beat a rival home; hard to make a case for Big prices and has finished last of 12 in bumpers at Huntingdon and Doncaster. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (17/2 +6%)Winters Hill |
17/2(+6%) | (5) Winters Hill 17/2, Linda's Lad mare; half-sister to Hazy Dream, fair at 19f; dam useful at 8f at 2yo; yard in good form; worth a market check Nice enough pedigree but bumper winners are infrequent for yard now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Not the deepest of contests and previous experience could prove key to the chances of JOSH CENTRAL. Tom Weston's gelding was far from disgraced on his racecourse bow at Taunton last month and is likely to have learned plenty from that spin. The booking of Sean Bowen is perhaps the most notable factor of all. Call Me Legend has experience between the flags and it would come as no surprise were he to be involved, while Border Gem is noted too.

Ex-Irish pointer CALL ME LEGEND needs watching in the market but he's not highly tried on his debut. Josh Central can be next best.
Ths is the racecard key.
