14:25 Newton Abbot (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This race could turn tactical, and if that is the case then SERGEANT FURY may make all. The winner of both starts this season at Huntingdon and Stratford, he likes to set the pace and looks likely to be left alone throughout. Gore Point has to be noted after his win here last week, while Bobby's Fortune would have a strong chance if taking up this engagement.

Improving 5yo GORE POINT probably had a bit left in the tank when winning by a narrow margin here on Monday and can overcome a penalty.

14:57 Newton Abbot (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lord intrigues on his first start over hurdles after finishing second on the Flat at Leipzig and he can go well for Olly Murphy. Manyana Blue should find some improvement after her C&D third, but Irish raider DIGNAM could be the one. A winner on the Flat for Joseph O'Brien and fifth in a Curragh handicap last month, if he takes to hurdles he really ought to outclass these opponents.

The most interesting runner is Irish raider DIGNAM, who ran to a useful level on both Flat starts last month.

15:32 Newton Abbot (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Backinaction showed plenty of improvement to stroll home by 18 lengths at Stratford last week and although he has to carry a 7lb penalty here, Evan Williams' gelding seems likely to go up by more than that when reassessed. He may prove the biggest danger to MY GIRL KATIE, who has to carry 1lb more than her official mark but is on the back of an easy C&D win in a similar race. Great D'Ange might be booked for third if he bounces back to his best.

This looks between MY GIRL KATIE and Backinaction. The former is more predictable and laid down a good marker over C&D last time.

16:07 Newton Abbot (Class 5) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Compensation could be on the cards for the recent C&D runner-up SASSIFIED. The seven-year-old went down by only a neck and, off an unchanged mark, another bold bid is forecast. Triple-track winner Karannelle finished behind the selection when fourth here in June, but isn't taken lightly off a lower mark. David Rees' mare is feared most, ahead of Square Du Roule.

Sean Bowen's mount NEVER SEEN AGAIN has dropped another 2lb since last month's Bangor third and might be the answer.

16:42 Newton Abbot (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SPITALFIELD did little wrong when finding only a subsequent winner too strong over track and trip last time out and looks the one to beat. A 4lb rise for the son of Mahler is negated by Benjamin Macey's 7lb claim and a second career victory could be on the cards. Impecunious finished behind the same rival that beat the selection when a close second over 2m5f here two weeks ago. The six-year-old is a live threat if seeing out this rise in distance, with Dear Ralphy pick of the remainder.

Impecunious is worth a go at this longer trip but SPITALFIELD (nap) can make the most of an easier task than on his last two starts.

17:17 Newton Abbot (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

La Quarite arrives on the back of a solid second over 3m at Market Rasen and he must enter calculations on the drop in distance. However, MERSEY STREET returned to form with a respectable third on his chase bow at Worcester earlier in the month and any improvement might see the seven-year-old capitalise. Imperial Measure could have a say if brushing up his jumping too.

This can go to IMPERIAL MEASURE, who seemed to be getting his act together over fences last time and is well treated on hurdling form.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
