BREAKING COVER beat Centara by over three lengths over track and trip last month and that form is expected to be upheld. Anthony Honeyball's seven-year-old followed that up when successful at Worcester earlier in the month and can continue his upward trajectory. Synchronist made it two from three in handicap company over hurdles at Plumpton in April and is an interesting contender on his chasing bow.

His winning streak was ended by Breaking Cover here last month but CENTARA is 8lb better off today and may gain his revenge.

However, SASSIFIED struck over C&D in June and has run with credit in his two appearances at this track since. The seven-year-old remains on a workable rating and he could be the one to beat. Gavin completes the shortlist.

Topweight DICKENS went up another 5lb for his narrow 2m1f course win ten days ago but is still taken to make it 4-5 for his new stable.

Best Night sprung a 22/1 surprise to score on her first start for the David Pipe stable and is expected to mount a serious challenge, despite her penalty. However, JAMINSKA only found a well-fancied rival too good over C&D earlier in the month and doesn't face anything like that opposition today. Jane Williams' mare might only need to reproduce that level of form in order to go one better. John Barbour is another to note.

Newbury winner JOHN BARBOUR sets a pretty good standard of hurdling form and can overcome his penalty.

Testflight was in good form over fences here during the summer. He had GREAT D'ANGE back in third when scoring in July, but the latter can race off a much lower mark back over the smaller obstacles, and is taken to turn the tables on his first start for Alexander Gibbons' yard. Tropical Speed has also switched stables since winning at Uttoxeter, but Sean Bowen stays loyal and another good effort is likely.

Class-dropper ENJOY D'ALLEN comes here fresh and is selected to exploit some considerable help from the handicapper.

Hold Your Fort returns to this venue for the first time since scoring over C&D on May and is preferred to Stans The Man.

Multiple C&D winner HOLD YOUR FORT reverts to chasing after a pleasing confidence-booster over hurdles this month and gets the nod.

THE HEIGHT OF FAME is a dual winner over C&D and looks set to make another bold bid. Still in contention at the last on her latest start here, Keiran Burke's inmate faded into fourth on the run-in, but this looks an easier opportunity and she gets another chance. Despereaux will be sharper for a recent outing and looks on a fair mark, while Striking A Pose is preferred of the rest.

Fourth in a higher-grade C&D contest last month, THE HEIGHT OF FAME (nap) ought to be better suited by today's forecast faster ground.
