17:53 Nottingham (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Beyond Borders was winning for the first time since 2023 when making all at Yarmouth recently. It remains to be seen if he can reproduce that effort raised 7lb, and will likely be taken on for the lead by Chuti Manika. The latter found one too good attempting to make every yard at Ayr and is not out of it, but HEAVEN KNOWS makes most appeal. Rae Guest's filly caught the eye making up lots of late ground at Windsor on her handicap debut and she gets another chance.

Beyond Borders is shortlisted but this can go to FIRE FLAME, who shaped nicely back from a long absence recently.

18:23 Nottingham (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SILENT APPLAUSE will likely start a warm order after finishing runner-up here last month to the potentially smart Reciprocated. The son of Acclamation faces nothing of that calibre in this company and Charlie Appleby's colt can open his account at the main expense of Dazzling Haze. The latter showed she was going the right way when posting a better effort at Brighton, while Flash Rascal will likely improve fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time.

This can develop into a match between SILENT APPLAUSE and Dazzling Haze and the Godolphin runner's form has the greater substance.

18:53 Nottingham (Class 6) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ELEMENTAL EYE has yet to win but has eased considerably in the ratings this year and finished a respectable third at Redcar a fortnight ago. The handicapper has taken a chance by dropping him a further 1lb and the son of Expert Eye could finally get off the mark. Placed over 1m4f at Beverley last time, Lednikov looks worth another try over this longer trip, while Hidden Pearl could prove best of the remainder.

Preference is for ELEMENTAL EYE who wasn't far away off his reduced mark at Redcar.

19:23 Nottingham (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A progressive sort last season, BONA FORTUNA has yet to rediscover that form but his recent third in a strong contest at Hamilton was a step in the right direction. A mark of 77 still looks manageable for the son of Mehmas and he may have too much for Spirit Of Applause, who was narrowly denied over C&D in May and ran with plenty of credit when third at Redcar last time out. The Paul Midgley stable has hit form of late, and Frank The Spark is another to note having scored here last August.

The lightly raced BONA FORTUNA (nap) makes most appeal in this less-competitive handicap. Spirit Of Applause looks the main threat.

19:53 Nottingham (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

In The City is bound to be popular having shown plenty of ability on both starts since joining the Warren Greatrex stable this season. Preference, however, is for STAR OF MALI, who hails from a stable that is no stranger to first-time-out winners, and this colt's half-brother Real Appeal was a winner on debut in France before going on to score at Group 2 level. Ziggy's Triton is another to consider if bouncing back to the form of his narrow defeat at Catterick last month.

In The City sets the standard and should run well but STAR OF MALI is an interesting newcomer.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

No match for a progressive rival at Haydock when attempting to follow up on his earlier Leicester triumph, OTTOMAN is fancied to gain redemption from 2lb higher. Jack Andrea kept on into fifth over a mile at Newmarket last time out and he ought to be more effective returned to further, while Sir Wootton is worth a second look too.

Lots of ifs and maybes but OTTOMAN, who's improved for cheekpieces going on, is the one who's been there and done it.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HAWA JUMEIRAH probably didn't have the race run to suit when filling the runner-up berth in a three-runner contest at Pontefract recently. There should be more pace on offer here though and the in-form four-year-old is expected to gain compensation. Kokinelli raced too keenly to do herself justice on seasonal return at Wolverhampton in May but she might do better with that run under her belt, while a drop in grade could spark an improved performance from Shady Bay.

This can go to HAWA JUMEIRAH who is well suited by these conditions and has the most going for him on recent efforts.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK.
