14:10 Nottingham (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Beaten just half a length into fourth over this distance at Leicester recently, THE PUG has a long losing streak to overcome but this may be as good an opportunity as any. Another who has been running with credit of late is Cryptos Dream and Tony Carroll's mare is expected to be thereabouts. Inspiring Speeches drops back in trip, which may suit, and he takes in his first classified stakes.

C&D winner CRYPTOS DREAM posted a solid effort at Yarmouth last time and she's the selection, with The Pug second choice.

14:40 Nottingham (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An eyecatcher when second on his first run for new connections at Lingfield last month, ABATE has dropped to a very workable mark, which may be enough to see him regain the winning thread at a track where he has scored before. Successful over C&D in May, Glory Fighter is better than he showed most recently at Haydock, while Hurt You Never has been running respectably since a victory at Hamilton early last month.

After running well in a better race at Newmarket last Friday, JACQUELINA might be able to regain the winning thread.

15:10 Nottingham (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dropping back to 5f didn't seem to suit ECLIPSER when last of four at Yarmouth and she is much better judged on her previous success over this trip at Chelmsford. A mark of 70 could still underestimate her and the daughter of Arizona is preferred to Daretobedifferent, who has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of her third at Lingfield. A winner at Redcar in May but disappointing since, Willowinghurn can have a say in proceedings as well.

Black Endeavour is second choice on handicap debut behind ECLIPSER (nap) who should be suited by the return to 6f.

15:40 Nottingham (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SECRET SONATA, who represents an in-form yard and is a half-sister to last year's Musidora winner Secret Satire, looks the part on paper and could be well placed to make a successful debut. As both Just Queen High and Spendmore Lane need to improve on what they have shown so far, perhaps the sprint-bred newcomer Margoritatime could be the one to give Andrew Balding's filly the most to think about.

Spendmore Lane is second choice on yard debut but SECRET SONATA is out of a Listed winner and can make a winning start.

FOUR ADAAY has hinted at a revival of late and appeals after a couple of placed efforts. As a previous course scorer running off 9lb below her last winning rating, Rod Millman's mare has plenty going for her in this company. Mrs Trump looks another key player off just 3lb higher than for her recent Thirsk success. King Of The Jungle has a fair chance, especially with Lewis Chalkley claiming 7lb.

A tight handicap. KING OF THE JUNGLE is reunited with Lewis Chalkley (and his claim) after a near miss at Newcastle.

The daughter of Pinatubo finish third in maiden company at Wolverhampton in May and given the first two home are both now rated 84, Tom Clover's filly looks potentially well treated for her handicap debut.

It may be worth chancing that TWO B TANNED has been freshened up by a break. Surprised drops in grade and is second choice.

This is tricky but COEUR JAUNE does look ready for a mile judged on her staying-on third over shorter at Haydock 12 days ago.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
