13:08 Plumpton (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Gone Country could prove a useful recruit for Nick Gifford, but he hasn't run since a point-to-point second in March and may be vulnerable to a race-fit opponent. JAMADA fits the bill for the in-form Olly Murphy yard after finishing second at Sedgefield on his hurdling bow and, if he jumps better, this could be his to lose. Poet Laureate showed promise when third at Worcester and may prove the biggest danger to the selection, assuming improvement.

This will probably be fought out by JAMADA and Poet Laureate. Olly Murphy's runner is narrowly preferred.

13:38 Plumpton (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Touquet has moved from Paul Nicholls to Nick Gifford since pulling up at Chepstow and could go well if he takes to fences. Strolling Along should appreciate a drop in trip after pulling too hard over 2m7f at Bangor in May. If he is given his head, he could prove hard to catch on his chasing debut but the consistent TRAVELING SOLDIER is preferred. In the frame in five of his six chases, with a win at Market Rasen, he might put his experience advantage to good use.

The pick is Dan Skelton's lightly raced chasing debutant STROLLING ALONG, who ran well in two handicap hurdles in the spring.

14:08 Plumpton (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner Daylatedollarshort looks an interesting recruit for Olly Murphy, but he did only prevail by a neck when keeping on well and his speed will be tested. ORDER OF JUSTICE weakened late on after pulling too hard when second at Fakenham but if Tom Cannon can get her to settle, she looks the likeliest winner with experience now on her side. Maldini Milano is another to consider if first-time cheekpieces help.

Maldini Milano and GENERAL BRIAR were seemingly very closely matched at Newton Abbot but the latter may be the safer option here.

14:38 Plumpton (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It took nine attempts for WALK ON HIGH to open his account over timber but he wasted no time in recording a second, which came at Uttoxeter in May. Harry Fry's charge has more to do back in a handicap, but this trip could be the key to him and there should be more to come. Loverdose progressed at a rate of knots last term and is entitled to the utmost respect, as is Irish Hill, who claimed top honours in this 12 months ago.

Progressive 6yo LOVERDOSE (nap) has been off since March but won when fresh at this time last year and might improve again this season.

15:08 Plumpton (Class 3) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Shantou Lucky's winning run came to an end at Southwell last month and although he had an excuse, stablemate IVANE looks the safest option. The seven-year-old accounted for a progressive chaser when completing a double at Sedgefield and with the irrepressible Sean Bowen back aboard, he can defy a further 6lb rise. Jeffery's Cross didn't run too badly at Fontwell, but will need more to come out on top.

Ivane and Jeffery's Cross both had hard races fairly recently and this might go to revitalised 8yo SHANTOU LUCKY.

JOREBEL has enjoyed a fine autumn so far, with a trio of victories including over further at Worcester last time, and a 6lb rise doesn't appear likely to stop Chris Gordon's charge from taking another step forward. Mistress Emma shaped with some promise on both hurdle outings last season and is expected to be in the mix. Others to note are Poncho and Fourtowns.

Jorebel has made an excellent start to the season but preference is for Nicky Henderson's very unexposed mare MISTRESS EMMA.

JACKSTELL appears to have improved for a summer break, with Jamie Snowden's gelding now a dual winner over hurdles. A smooth display at Warwick was backed up under a penalty at Hereford and the switch to handicapping promises to see him in an even better light. The Secret Pearl was in front when falling at the last at Fontwell in May. She is capable of making an impact, while Sedgefield winner Captain Cool isn't one to discount.

The answer might be THE SECRET PEARL, who was in good form when we last saw her in the spring and could still be on a good mark.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
