It's difficult to see past MUNSIF, despite his penalty. The son of Sea The Stars was sent off favourite at Nottingham on his racecourse debut and duly obliged in good style. He looks the one to beat with the prospect of more to come. Jeanne Baret is bred for middle-distances and the half-sister to seven winners could prove the main danger, while Dynamo George is closely related to a Listed winner and looks best of the remainder.

The Roger Varian-trained MUNSIF impressed on his debut at Nottingham three weeks ago and is taken to make it 2-2.

ARGENTINE TANGO finished a creditable second at Beverley on debut considering she was green. The daughter of Mattmu will have benefitted considerably from that experience and can make the most of her sex allowance. Champion Island can boast a couple of Listed winners as half-brothers and Charlie Johnston's inmate can make his presence felt, while Star Material faced a stiff task at Musselburgh on debut and is worth noting representing last year's winning yard.

A chance is taken on STAR MATERIAL who was noticeably short in the betting when shaping with promise at Musselburgh.

INGLEBY ARCHIE finished a respectable second over 6f at Thirsk on his reappearance and Adrian Nicholls' sprinter made all to land a double over the minimum trip last summer. He could prove hard to stop here if allowed his own way in front. Cloud King may have a say in the outcome if first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect, while Reigning Profit was narrowly denied over course and distance on his penultimate start and can also feature.

The early skirmishes may be decisive but, in the hope they overdo things up front, REIGNING PROFIT is selected to finish best of all.

It wasn't a great race that Show Biz Kid won at Yarmouth earlier in the month but he did it gamely and, still open to improvement over the trip, he commands respect off just 2lb higher. However, MOLINARI is entitled to have more of an edge on the back of a respectable second on his seasonal return at Newcastle. Having gone well here before, the top weight shades the vote. It's A Love Thing and Prince Achille complete the shortlist.

Although Prince Achille shaped well last time preference is for IT'S A LOVE THING, who was a good second back on turf two weeks ago.

SUPERPOSITION is drawn to attack from stall three and could be well placed to follow up his recent Southwell maiden win. On The River hasn't fared as well with the draw and the widest berth of all complicates his chance of gaining a third career success over C&D. A bigger danger could be posed by the hat-trick seeking/recent track-and-trip winner, Partisan Hero, despite him needing another personal best on these terms.

Preference is for SUPERPOSITION, who impressed in an AW maiden last month and whose trainer Ed Dunlop has a good record here.

Plenty of these arrive in top form, including KATS BOB, who has been a revelation since joining the Ruth Carr stable and is unbeaten in four starts since February. Unpenalised for a comfortable success in an apprentice handicap at Thirsk last time out, the seven-year-old can follow up at the main expense of Wreck It Ryley, who wasn't for catching at the same venue last time. Catterick scorer Mister Sox is another to note, as well as the returning Zip It Up, who was a respectable second at Lingfield when last seen.

Wreck It Ryley can go well but KATS BOB (nap) has carried all before him since joining Ruth Carr and he can make it five in a row.

Turned out again quickly after almost ending a long losing streak over 1m3f at Southwell last time out, ANIFICAS BEAUTY must hold every chance on the drop in distance with Jason Hart an eye-catching booking. A capable sort on his day, Mickey Mongoose can follow the selection home, along with Odd Socks Havana, who has strong claims on his runner-up effort at Newcastle two starts ago.

A low-grade event can go to FIRST ENCOUNTER, who should improve for his reappearance run at Nottingham earlier this month.
Ths is the racecard key.
