Turned out again quickly after dead-heating for first at Beverley last week, STAR START looks the one to beat under a 5lb penalty, with Miss Charli Parker retaining the ride. A taking winner over C&D on his penultimate outing in June, Unplugged must be a leading contender, as well as Highwaygrey, who has run with credit of late. Apodictique and Mass Consumption may also have a say in proceedings.

It may prove best to side with the two who have shone so often at this track, with UNPLUGGED preferred to Highwaygrey.

There are not many better when it comes to two-year-old debutants than Karl Burke, and GOLD QUEEN KINDLY could be set to strike in this intriguing maiden. His half-sister, Queen Me, scored on debut before being narrowly denied in the Lowther, and he gets the vote ahead of fellow newcomer Sanaam, who may want further in time but hails from a yard in excellent form at present. Solar Cooper looks like the pick of those with experience, while Pierre Le Picard cannot be ruled out either.

With nothing to shout about among those who have run, the focus is seemingly fixed on newcomers GOLD QUEEN KINDLY and Sanaam.

The veteran ORBAAN has run with credit since scoring at Beverley last month and, with Daniel Tudhope returning to the saddle, the son of Invincible Spirit may be able to notch up an eighth career success. Volenti has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of his second over C&D two starts ago, while Distinction looks to build on a comfortable success over further at Beverley last time out, for which he has been raised 3lb.

Tricky. COSMOS RAJ is given the vote, though, as he is readily forgiven his run in a 19-runner race at York 11 days ago.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Missmimi has occupied the top two places on each of her last three outings, most recently finishing second at Doncaster, and she should remain competitive. However, PROFITEER was only beaten a length into second in this grade over 6f here last time and is just 1lb higher. With a good draw in stall two, he looks the one to beat. Solar Biricz is another to consider.

This stiff C&D suited MISSMIMI (nap) when she won here in July and she gets the vote ahead of Solar Biricz and Profiteer.

Queen Of Steel has struck in five of her seven starts since joining the Fergal O'Brien yard, with three of those victories coming on the Flat, and she has to be considered. However, NEW YORK MINUTE wasn't beaten far into fourth on his handicap debut at Goodwood in June and now takes a big step up in distance. With any amount of improvement to come, he looks the way to go. Jedhi Knight completes the shortlist.

Captain Potter, Queen Of Steel and Diamand De Vindecy are players. 3yos NEW YORK MINUTE and Jedhi Knight spark interest.

FIERCE showed a big chunk of improvement to score by three lengths over track and trip in June and even a 9lb rise might prove to be on the lenient side. With Paul Mulrennan booked, he could be the one to beat. May Blossom made the frame in this grade at Carlisle on her latest outing and is likely to be on the premises. Of the remainder, Novello Lad makes the most appeal.

Topweight TRILBY has won on the last two occasions he has tackled a Class 4 handicap and earns the vote ahead of Sir Garfield.
Ths is the racecard key.
