14:10 Ripon (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Now that SERGEANT MAYER has deservedly regained the winning thread with a determined performance at Redcar, the son of Soldier's Call is likely to have more to come off 3lb higher. Arlington did it well himself when scoring comfortably at Southwell and he must be a key player, despite an 8lb higher mark. Recent Wolverhampton winner Brian The Snail is another to consider.

This ease in grade provides a good opening for GLORY HYDE (nap), who's now 2lb lower than when placed behind a big improver last month.

14:40 Ripon (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

By a speedy sire in Mehmas and hailing from a family that Richard Fahey has had success with, FAST GENERATION may have enough quality to strike first time out. Anaisa showed major improvement from her first to her second start to score at Thirsk earlier in the month, but a 4lb penalty will make life much tougher. A well-bred sort by Kameko, Spinning Lizzie looks one to monitor for market support on debut, with Danny Tudhope a noteworthy booking.

Tim Easterby's ANAISA showed fair form when scoring at Thirsk and can make light of a 4lb penalty with this step up to 6f a likely plus

15:10 Ripon (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

C&D winner COSMOS RAJ should appreciate going back up in trip, having scored in comfortable fashion at Hamilton last time out. A 2lb rise could prove lenient and David O'Meara's charge is preferred to Titainium, who went well for a long way at Thirsk and might be suited by dropping back from 1m4f. Jez Bomb and Spioradalta have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

It could pay to side with C&D scorer POET'S DAWN who caught the eye when a C&D fourth last time and is now below his last winning mark

15:40 Ripon (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having returned to complete a double at Redcar, the unbeaten FLUORESCENCE makes obvious appeal debuting in handicap company. Ed Bethell's filly has made light work of her rivals in both outings to date and an official mark of 85 could prove lenient. Mae Amor ended her juvenile campaign with a breakthrough victory at Wolverhampton and she may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Beaujolais Nouveau.

The unexposed FLUORESCENCE looks to start handicap life on a sensible mark and can make it 3-3. Beaujolais Nouveau is next best.

16:10 Ripon (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Pouting did little wrong when finishing a close-up third at Wolverhampton last month and she isn't taken lightly reverting to 6f in first-time cheekpieces. However, EIGHTH AVENUE displayed enough speed last season to suggest that this trip will suit and the daughter of Starspangledbanner could be worth chancing on her return to action. Given her pedigree, it is also worth keeping an eye on newcomer Bradley Lane in the betting.

There won't be any excuses for the standard-setting POUTING, who can finally break her duck. Tanjen should fare better.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Copper And Five may prove popular after going in at Beverley, despite a 2lb rise. He has won five races off higher marks and is hard to ignore, but preference is for SPRING FESTIVAL. Still a maiden, he ran his best race yet when third at Pontefract last month, beaten less than two lengths, and is entitled to improve for that first start since September. C&D winners Arranmore and Annalee Lass are others to take seriously on their better form.

David O'Meara's lightly raced SPRING FESTIVAL shaped well on return when third at Pontefract and can build on that to gain a first win

17:10 Ripon (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Hype Merchant is interesting on his first start for Roger Fell after leaving the David Loughnane yard and if first-time cheekpieces and new surroundings bring improvement, he can go close in a tight contest. BARMYBLADE is just preferred, though, and with two wins from three starts this season, the latest here off 7lb lower, he could be difficult to reel in. Sanbona has more to do after his Redcar third, but may fill the same position.

Having twice run well from tough draws since returned to sprinting in a visor, SANBONA can make the most of landing stall 9.
