18:15 Ripon (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although Believeinmenow was disappointing when finishing ninth at Doncaster 18 days ago, it is too early to be writing him off given his debut second at Thirsk. However, STAR MATERIAL found only subsequent Hilary Needler winner Argentine Tango too strong at Pontefract and a similar performance may see the son of Starman open his account. Fortification is feared most after recently posting a third-placed debut at Bath.

An interesting novice in which a chance is taken on Richard Fahey's newcomer GREAT PROFIT. Fortification sets the standard.

18:50 Ripon (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ORIONIS did little wrong when finishing second in a class 2 maiden over an extended 1m4f at Chester last month. A drop back in distance is unlikely to bother the daughter of Sea The Stars and a breakthrough victory could be on the cards. Sweet Princess, a half-sister to the Listed-placed Arabic Legend, is a potential fly in the ointment on her opening bid and market support would be interesting. Ritaan may fare best of the remainder.

Sweet Princess is interesting on her debut but this looks a good opportunity for ORIONIS to get off the mark.

19:22 Ripon (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having justified favouritism over C&D last month, Mr Jetman warrants respect in his follow-up bid. However, a 5lb higher mark and rise in class could prove the five-year-old's undoing and preference is for CODE PURPLE. Ben Haslam has his string in good order at present and his Ribchester gelding makes plenty of appeal on the back of a good second at Musselburgh. Poet's Dawn and Jez Bomb are also of interest.

A competetive handicap in which POET'S DAWN is taken to capitalise on a career-low mark at the expense of Code Purple.

EMPEROR CARADOC made virtually every yard to score by a length at Nottingham last time and is just 4lb higher. The six-year-old remains feasibly treated off his current mark and can complete a double. Harry's Halo hasn't finished outside of the top three in any of his last seven starts and he has to be considered on his return to the fray. Lord Abama, second behind the selection last time, is another to note.

The unpenalised Mart has to enter calculations but SACRED FALLS (nap) had excuses at Carlisle and can resume her progress.

WRESTLING REVENUE showed a lot more when making the frame at Pontefract in April and he has been dropped 1lb. With the booking of Paul Mulrennan catching the eye, the son of Mehmas could regain the winning thread. Rock Of England finished fourth at Carlisle last time and competes off a career-low rating, so he is one to watch out for. Herakles isn't ruled out either.

Paul Midgley's two runners are handicapped to go well but so is JOJO RABBIT and Ruth Carr's 7yo can get the better of younger rivals.

20:52 Ripon (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PRECIOUS SPARTAN made a mockery of his 16/1 odds when scoring readily on debut for his new yard over C&D last week and now has a 6lb penalty to carry. Provided the three-year-old remains in similar form, he will prove tough to beat. Epicurian Lad was never dangerous when only sixth at Nottingham, but is 2lb lower and sports a first-time visor. Flamborough Head completes the shortlist.

Precious Spartan won easily over C&D last week but this is a stronger race and Epicurian Lad and BETA READER are preferred.
