The only colt in the line-up, GALLEY POINT arguably sets the standard in this contest on his two previous runs. The 25,000-euro yearling purchase showed some improvement from his debut effort when a staying-on fourth at Killarney. T J O'Mara's charge also conveyed his suitability for softer conditions and a step up in trip would certainly look to benefit him. Harry Longabaugh finished seventh in a Curragh maiden on debut. He raced freely that day but wasn't knocked about by Wayne Lordan and can take a step forward from that experience. Millraceflow seems to lack a gear but was staying on towards the finish on his latest start and he may be a solid place prospect.

GALLEY POINT is readily preferred after his much-improved effort on his second start at Killarney

SINDRIA brings an unexposed element on just her fifth career start. Sporting a first-time hood, Joseph O'Brien's filly steps down in grade after finishing down the field in a very competitive handicap on Irish Champions Weekend. Also, with her maiden success coming on soft ground, Dylan Browne McMonagle's mount is a tentative choice. Spanish Temptress doubled her tally a week ago and steps back in here under a 7lb penalty, while others to consider include Ribee and Fast Tara.

COUNTERCULTURE was runner up behind Earls here last month and she may be able to turn the tables if the first-time visor works

RACING ROYALTY drops in grade, likes soft ground and is well suited by this trip. Gillian Scott's runner also has a good record at this time of year and, while he disappointed at Listowel, he ran well when third in a better race at Galway last month. Late Night Talking ran well in an optional claiming maiden on soft last time and Colin Keane, who has ridden him on his last three starts, takes the mount again. Nibras Rainbow has been runner-up in three of his last five outings and went close at Bellewstown latest. Front-runner Manhattan Dandy is likely to run his usual game race, but is drawn wider than ideal.

The 5yo NIBRAS RAINBOW goes well in the mud and he would have won in another stride or two at Bellewstown.

DOWN TO BUSINESS has shown improvement in his last couple of starts and may get his head in front now. Andy Oliver's three-year-old ran well over this trip at the Curragh when third to an 88-rated filly and handled soft ground on that occasion. He may progress a little more in first-time headgear. Mocking was down the field in a sales race in France but has run well in a few handicaps, including on soft ground, and is the highest rated in the field. Moon Reign ran a promising race at Galway, but took a backward step at Listowel. He's bred to stay well and could fare better over this longer trip.

Mocking has the best flashes of form but he is now 0-9 and the suggestion is DOWN TO BUSINESS who ran better last time.

It was over just less than 1m5f that GLENROYAL won at Down Royal and his earlier victory this season came over 1m4f at the Galway Festival. Dropping back to this trip is not ideal, but the Australia gelding may be progressive enough to score again. His two main rivals, Refreshment and Local Lad, have stamina concerns. The former is a dual winner over 1m, but is unproven over this far and might prefer better ground. Local Lad ran well in a Group 3 on debut last year, but hasn't really built on that and was outstayed over this trip when last seen in June.

With testing ground a worry for Local Lad and the trip an unknown for Refreshment, this looks a good chance for GLENROYAL (nap)

With a decent pace virtually assured, this could be set up for a closer like GOTTA CATCH'EM ALL. Although a 19-race maiden, the Harry Rogers-trained gelding has finished runner-up on his last three runs. With his stable in excellent form in recent months, this could be the day that everything finally falls into place for the five-year-old. Listowel winner Ehteyat has to be respected, despite receiving an 11lb hike for that shock success. Rated much higher during his time in Britain, he could still be well treated. A slight concern is that his best form has come over further. C&D winner Duke Of Leggagh also holds leading form claims having struck at Bellewstown earlier this month.

A few with chances. EHTEYAT did have the run of things up front at Listowel but testing ground could be the key to him.

Recent Navan winner FORLIO looks well-in under Colin Keane. Raised 12lb for a runaway success at the County Meath track, the Paul Flynn-trained gelding is turned out quickly carrying a mandatory 7lb penalty. Provided this race doesn't come too soon, the six-year-old son of Mayson should take all the beating. Nancee Spain, runner-up at Thurles on Thursday, also backs up again swiftly. Having finished second on her previous start here, she rates a definite threat. Bellewstown winner Idomything could be open to more improvement on only her third start for trainer Tom Cleary.

A chance is taken on the unexposed 3yo ROYAL BELIEF who shaped like this test would suit on his handicap debut at Listowel

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
