Lovestruck Romeo did well to come home fourth after a slow start on his debut at Brighton and he can do better now if getting away on level terms. The Harry Angel colt Mister Mcgregor is one to consider first time out for the Andrew Balding team, but MISS COLLADA is still preferred. A winner last time out on her third start, she brings ability and experience to the table and that could pay dividends.

MISS COLLADA was nicely on top at Wolverhampton recently and may be able to defy the penalty. Lovestruck Romeo is open to progress on the back of his Brighton debut fourth, while his stablemate Enola Holmes and Andrew Balding's Mister McGregor are newcomers to note in the betting.

Wolverhampton winner MISS COLLADA might know too much for these after three runs and they've all been positive.

SUB THIRTEEN won by a nose over course and distance last time out, but he is progressive and may be the sensible choice as he looks for the hat-trick. Horse Whisperer is a danger if she can slip the field dropping back in trip after her Kempton second, while maiden Boadicia is the unknown quantity as she makes her handicap debut off a workable mark.

HORSE WHISPERER's form has taken off of late and remains of interest off what remains a good-looking mark. Hat-trick seeking Sub Thirteen is the obvious threat.

This should be run at a strong pace which should suit SUB THIRTEEN who is on a three-timer for his new yard. Boadicia is next best.

MIDNIGHT'S DREAM pulled too hard on his return at Doncaster in April but his second to Night Raider last season suggests that the colt is much better than that, and he may be worth another chance. Noel Fox was sent off joint-favourite on his Newbury debut but was hampered at the start and is another who could go well, while newcomer Dancing Sapphire and Wolverhampton fourth Little Miss Magic are others to take seriously.

NOEL FOX showed plenty for a long way when sixth at Newbury on debut 5 weeks ago and can find the required improvement to beat Northfield Lake. Dancing Sapphire is a half-sister to connections' smart performer Dancing Star so is a newcomer to note.

It's unlikely that this is too strong a maiden and therefore the very well-related DANCING SAPPHIRE could provide the answer.

Sakheer took the Mill Reef as a juvenile before finding Group 1 company too hot in his two starts last year, but the son of Zoffany has to be respected on this drop in grade. However, FUNNY STORY was only denied by a length when competing at this level at Newmarket earlier in the month. The daughter of Havana Grey rarely runs a bad race and she can make it two wins from of her last three starts. Equilateral completes the shortlist.

EQUILATERAL failed to fire after his success in a big handicap at York last year but he had excuses on the first two occasions and is fancied to make a winning return from 4 months off if he can bounce back. Sakheer is unexposed and, although he has a lengthy absence to overcome, he has a big chance if retaining all of his ability. Funny Story has something to find on form but is the solid alternative with a good recent showing under her belt.

Harry Three and Sakheer are intriguing runners but FUNNY STORY (nap) shaped really well at Newmarket three weeks ago.

There were plenty of positives to take from HILLTOP's handicap bow when reaching the frame over 6f at Wolverhampton last time and she could have plenty more to offer. The daughter of New Bay should have no issues with this step back up in trip and could improve for her first start on turf. Flavour Maker finished last on his handicap debut at Ascot earlier in the month, but he is worth another chance. Yellow Pages could also enter the reckoning.

HILLTOP shaped well over an inadequate 6f on her Wolverhampton handicap debut and can come good now stepping back up in distance. Arnaz appeals as one who should have more to offer in handicaps and is second choice ahead of Silver Trumpet, who can't have been right last time and had been in good form on AW prior to that.

Perhaps HILLTOP can prevail as she was just exposed for a bit of pace over 6f on her handicap debut.

Tayala has been in good form and occupied the runner-up berth over a mile at Kempton last time, but she needs to prove that she is as effective on turf. With that in mind, a chance can be taken on ENPASSANT, who took a fierce hold when fading into fourth at Brighton earlier in the month and he was dropped 1lb for that display. If he can settle better under Silvestre De Sousa, then he could be the one to beat. Johnny Johnson can be in the mix for the minor honours.

The return to 7f should play to the strengths of TEST OF LOVE who might prove the answer to the second division of this 7f handicap. Tayala arrives in good form from AW and is second choice ahead of Enpassant, who has yet to win but has been regularly placed in similar races, including over C&D.

Glitterella could be very interesting on her handicap debut but TAYALA is that bit more solid.

NOTHING TO FEAR didn't do herself any favours when starting slowly at Kempton last month, but the way she finished that day was encouraging and stepping up in trip could be just the ticket for this daughter of Churchill as she looks to get off the mark. Rosenzoo failed to fire on his return at Newmarket but he is best judged on his efforts last season, while Battle Of Omdurman is another to note making his handicap debut after a gelding operation.

MIDNIGHT RUMBLE made a positive start in handicaps when fourth at Chelmsford and his stable does well with similar types, so a chance is taken on him to improve past his current mark. Battle of Omdurman is a notable handicap debutant and Nothing to Fear also remains with potential.

Alan King's MIDNIGHT RUMBLE appeals most as this track should suit him better than when shaping well at Chelmsford.

A taking winner over course and distance on heavy ground earlier in the month, WARRANTY is likely to encounter quicker conditions on this occasion, but a 5lb rise looks manageable and he remains the one to beat. Clan Chieftain had wind surgery and a gelding operation before his last run and he can be given another chance. A promising second over shorter at Doncaster last time out, It's All About You can also have a say in proceedings.

WARRANTY found plenty to capitalise on an easing mark on Flat debut for this yard and, in a thin race, he's fancied to go in again for all that It's All About You looks a serious opponent. Clan Chieftain is still unexposed and merits respect for all that he has an underwhelming reappearance to put behind him.

A chance is taken on CLAN CHIEFTAIN, who hated the heavy ground on his return and might yet turn a corner after being gelded.
Ths is the racecard key.
