Prince Eric has been raised 18lb in the ratings during this winning spell and he appears likely to offer another bold bid, but a 4lb hike for his head success over 1m at Southwell last time may be enough to stop him. Therefore, the vote goes to CRYSTAL FLYER, who arrives here on the back of shedding her maiden tag over 1m2f at Goodwood and this opening mark of 84 doesn't appear out of her reach. Mr Monaco is also of interest after a close-up fourth over 1m at Goodwood.

CRYSTAL FLYER is a filly going the right way and one to take seriously. Mr Monaco and Prince Eric, who thrived in handicaps/on all-weather earlier this year, are others to consider.

A few hold chances but MR MONACO gave every impression that there's more to come from him when going down narrowly at Goodwood.

An open contest sees a chance taken on MASCAPONE, who had excuses for finishing fifth over 7f at Newcastle last month and he can stake a claim with a more polished effort today. David Simcock's charge was slowly away before doing some eye-catching late work on that occasion and he can exploit this mark of 89. Dancing Magic rates the biggest danger after a good second over an extended 7f at Chester and a 1lb rise in the ratings doesn't appear out of his reach, while Dual Identity isn't ruled out of following up his win over C&D when last seen.

FLYING FRONTIER shaped well in a couple of Yarmouth handicaps at the end last season and is low-mileage sort who has the scope for further progress as a 4-y-o. Similar comments apply to Mascapone, who caught the eye on his return from an absence at Newcastle and could be a big threat if Jamie Spencer can negotiate a trouble-free passage from the 15 box. The shortlist is completed by Dancing Magic who has yet to win but his latest Chester second shows he can go close from a mark in the mid-90s.

Lots hold chances but perhaps this will be the day when classy customer DANCING MAGIC can belatedly shed his maiden status.

NO HALF MEASURES has never been out of the first two in her career to date and she can continue her winning run. Richard Hughes' charge made a mockery of a mark of 82 when scoring in ready fashion over 5f at Goodwood last month and she appeared ready for this step up into Listed company. Flora Of Bermuda blew her chances leaving the stalls in the Group 2 Temple Stakes last time and she would have a solid chance with a more alert start today, while the consistent Adaay In Devon isn't discounted either.

David O'Meara's NIGHTEYES is on a roll and fancied to take this step up in class in her stride and complete a quick hat-trick. Adaay In Devon has the form to play a big part and is next on the list, with No Half Measures not discounted either in her bid for a four-timer.

The one to beat judged on form in the book is ADAAY IN DEVON (nap) whose latest third in a warm Listed race at Newbury reads well.

STAR STYLE impressed when opening her account with the minimum of fuss on debut at Newbury before not being seen to best effect in the 1000 Guineas, racing too keenly on the front end. Pitched into a handicap for the first time, the daughter of Zoustar gets the vote to return to winning ways. Mount Teide maintained his forward momentum with a facile success at Chepstow and looks a useful prospect. So does Jarraaf, who was a place behind Mount Teide when they took minor honours in a Newbury novice event but is 8lb better off.

MOUNT TEIDE ran well in a couple of strong races before readily opening his account at Chepstow last time, forging clear in the style of one who has more to offer, so he's worth a chance to defy a mark of 89. Star Style's run in the Guineas is best excused and she's a major player based on her impressive debut, while Jarraaf remains with potential on just his third outing.

Carrying top weight asks plenty of MOUNT TEIDE but it was hard not be taken by how he disposed of Swindon at Chepstow.

Those with experience don't look to set an unattainable standard and it may pay to side with a newcomer, namely FRENCH MASTER. The Gosden's have an impressive record in maidens this season and this son of Frankel could have enough in the locker to score first time up. Chorus was narrowly denied when finishing third over a mile latest and she warrants respect. Kingdom Of Stars and Raging Al both made low-key starts when finishing fifth and ninth respectively over 1m2f at Windsor in April but they can be expected to improve for that experience.

After 5 months off, CHORUS wasn't beaten far by a subsequent listed winner at Ascot in May and she can continue her progress as she goes up in trip. She is taken to open her account this time around, though French Master makes plenty of appeal on paper and is respected on debut, with Royal Approval also considered.

Chorus is a big danger but the well-bred newcomer FRENCH MASTER is interesting. The yard introduced a smart one in this last year.

After being beaten just a head over 1m at Kempton last time, this looks a good opportunity for GET THE MUSIC ON to go one better. Clive Cox's charge has been raised just 2lb for that effort, which could prove lenient. Hot Fashion has made a pleasing start to her career and this daughter of Too Darn Hot can have a say on her handicap bow, while the consistent Get Jiggy With It is also capable of staking a claim.

GET THE MUSIC ON was unlcuky not to reel-in a rival who benefited from first run at Kempton last week and Clive Cox's filly can go one better here. Get Jiggy With It has proved consistent in maiden/novice company and steps into handicaps from a workable mark, so can get in the mix again, with Royal Velvet completing the shortlist.

The well-bred HOT FASHION should fare better now upped to 1m and she can prove too strong for Get The Music On.

DANCING IN PARIS has been in great form of late and he makes most appeal in this field. Ian Williams' gelding runs off the same mark as his second over 1m4f at Goodwood earlier this month and this extra yardage could unlock some improvement. Having been beaten just three-quarters of a length over 1m6f at Nottingham last time, Rhythmic Intent commands respect off an unchanged mark, while Cavern Club is also likely to be on the scene.

Having cleared away for an impressive success at York on his penultimate start, DANCING IN PARIS ran another solid race when run down late on at Goodwood 8 days ago. He remains one to be interested in and earns the vote upped in trip. Duke of Verona is unbeaten over C&D and he's another to bear in mind. Chester scorer Cavern Club and Coco Royale complete the shortlist in a competitive finale.

Preference is for COCO ROYALE, who starts her second campaign with clear potential.
Ths is the racecard key.
