12:35 Sandown (Class 2) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Zarakerjack was well beaten into second behind a promising type at Kempton and could step forward to have a say, but there are a few interesting French recruits in this and the one who appeals most is THEWOODCORNER. The three-year-old won a bumper at Saumur in March and has since joined the in-form Nicky Henderson yard, so it would be no surprise to see him make an instant impression over timber. Kaldoun Des Rocs and Pourquoi Pas Papa are also of interest.

Some very interesting French recruits and the pick of them could be KALDOUN DES ROCS on his first run for Dan Skelton.

13:10 Sandown (Class 3) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Keep Running showed his well-being when second over the smaller obstacles at Fontwell on his return and has to be respected back over fences. Krak is worth a second look on his chasing bow, along with Mon Champion, but NORTHERN AIR gets the nod. A lot more was expected from Dan Skelton's mare when only fourth at Carlisle last month, but this is just her second start for the yard and she could bounce back.

Having been progressive over fences last term, KEEP RUNNING (nap) returned with a good second over hurdles last month and gets the nod.

13:45 Sandown (Class 1) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

After making a winning hurdling debut at Chepstow, The Blue Room looks well worth his place at this level for the Olly Murphy team, but it's hard to oppose NO DRAMA THIS END. An impressive winner in this class at Cheltenham last month, the five-year-old could have lots more to offer on just his second outing over the smaller obstacles, and he looks a novice hurdler to watch this season. Tormund Giantsbane could be anything and is far from out of it either.

Having won a Grade 2 novice in fine style on his hurdle debut at Cheltenham three weeks ago, NO DRAMA THIS END can follow up.

14:20 Sandown (Class 1) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Doyen Quest readily accounted for Quebecois at Exeter a month ago, but he had race fitness on his side that day and the latter may be able to reverse that form here. That said, preference is for LAURENS BAY, who progressed well over hurdles last season and won the EBF Final here in March. Jamie Snowden's six-year-old only had one rival to beat on his chasing bow in October, but did so readily and he looks the type to continue to improve. Salver struggled against Lulamba at Exeter but cannot be written off.

EBF Final winner LAURENS BAY impressed when winning a match on his chase debut at Uttoxeter and is taken to make it 2-2 over fences.

It is hard to rule many of these out, but the vote goes to OCEAN CONQUEST. The son of Time Test has won his last two starts and he had plenty in hand on the most recent of those occasions at Ludlow. Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
