17:40 Sedgefield (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JACKPOT CASH has been a model of consistency since joining the James Owen team and switches back to the larger obstacles following his second at Worcester last Tuesday. The six-year-old's last success over fences came over C&D and it may be difficult to oppose him while in this vein of form. Zero Tolerance is yet to get off the mark in 12 attempts but has run some solid races in defeat.

C&D winner JACKPOT CASH has made good progress for his new stable in recent months and could still be well handicapped over fences.

18:10 Sedgefield (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SOLENT GATEWAY has steadily improved with each performance over timber and arrives following a decent effort when runner-up over C&D last month. The seven-year-old appears to have been presented with a golden opportunity to shed the maiden tag at the fifth time of asking. Celestial Reign was behind the selection in fourth on that occasion but the four-year-old is 5lb worse off, while the application of a tongue-tie might aid the cause of Vanilla Dancer.

Celestial Reign was close behind SOLENT GATEWAY over C&D last month but the latter can confirm those placings and open his account.

18:40 Sedgefield (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Clean Getaway was in fine fettle during the autumn of last year when winning four on the bounce and Phil Kirby's gelding is entitled to step forward after his return from a break at Carlisle. That said, he might be a shade high in the handicap for the time being and the vote, therefore, goes to CONQUER THE BREEZE. The six-year-old filled the runner-up spot here last time and a replication of that effort may well be enough to go one better. Delpotro completes the shortlist.

Free-going front-runner DELPOTRO has the services of Sean Bowen today and might be able to open his account in Britain.

Adam Nicol looks to have found a good opportunity for FEACH AMACH to land a hat-trick. The mare defied a 12lb rise when successful at Perth last time, having won easily over course and distance before that, and the progressive five-year-old remains one to keep on the right side of. Lillistar and Suitably Surprised have plenty to find with the selection, so Laravie may pose a bigger threat back in handicap company.

Thriving 5yo FEACH AMACH (nap) drops in grade after winning in 0-120 company at Perth three weeks ago and can complete a hat-trick.

19:40 Sedgefield (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Trailblazer found a 6lb rise for winning here beyond him when second at Perth last time. He can have a say in proceedings once again, but it could pay to stick with GAVIN. The latter bounced back to form with a convincing win at Ffos Las a week ago and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him, given Mickey Bowen's charge has won off higher marks in the past. Mr Sundancer may prove best of the rest.

Rejuvenated 7yo GAVIN looked firmly in control from a fairly early stage at Ffos Las a week ago and can overcome a penalty here.

20:10 Sedgefield (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DARTMOUTH CASTLE debuted in a tougher bumper at Doncaster in March. He could only manage sixth that day, but wasn't disgraced behind the winner Queen Kate, who subsequently ran well in Grade 2 company, and that looks the strongest form on offer. Miz Klimt showed improvement at Hereford last time, while the point-to-point winner Scairp Dubh is related to a couple of winners over hurdles and is worth noting on his debut for new connections.

Right in the thick of things for a long way when sixth at Doncaster in March, DARTMOUTH CASTLE appeal most here.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
