Successful over fences off 87 here last month, CLEAN GETAWAY looks thrown in off a mark of 78 on his return to timber. The seven-year-old may be winless after 17 starts in this sphere but this appeals as an ideal opportunity, with Belle Na Bann, a progressive sort last season, looking best placed to chase him home. A winner here over the larger obstacles back in May, Tropical Talent is another to consider, as is Langton Wold.

A 3-time winner over fences already this term (including here last time), CLEAN GETAWAY has a lower mark to exploit returned to timber and he could be the way to go in a race where plenty have something to prove. Belle Na Bann, Langton Wold and Tropical Talent are a trio of others to consider.

The pick is LANGTON WOLD, whose only win was over C&D last December and who shaped quite well when returned to hurdles last time.

KINGSTON NARCISSUS has improved with each appearance since joining Rebecca Menzies and last month's second over C&D pointed towards a gelding who looks ready to get off the mark. Placed over further on each of her last two starts, Brave Jen could be well suited by dropping back in trip and she is entitled to have a say. Demilion and hurdling debutant Supreme George enter the equation too.

KINGSTON NARCISSUS showed much more than previously over hurdles when runner-up over C&D a month ago and a repeat display may well see him go one place better in a run-of-the-mill maiden. Drying ground may help Brave Jen's cause and she's the obvious threat.

Having improved to be second over C&D last time, KINGSTON NARCISSUS is taken to get off the mark in a race sponsored by his trainer.

The James Owen stable can do little wrong at present and as long as CHARGING THUNDER improves on his jumping from an impressive debut success at Fakenham, the six-year-old looks capable of following up on the rise in distance. Will Knott arguably won a stronger race than the selection here, but the fact that he was well beaten over C&D on his previous start is a worry. Laddie Cooper Mia can pick up the pieces on her hurdles bow if either of those previously mentioned falter.

A likely match between WILL KNOTT and Charging Thunder. The former created a positive impression when running away with a maiden here 16 days ago and promises to progress again now stepping back up in trip, so he edges the vote.

Preference is for CHARGING THUNDER, who was useful on the Flat and has plenty of scope for improvement after his hurdle win at Fakenham.

Presenting Pete didn't build on his chasing debut second here over further when fifth at Southwell, although he can't be written off yet. Sun Joy may have needed his return at Kempton and the handicapper has given him a chance by dropping him 3lb, but a chance is taken on BURROWS HALL. A consistent type over hurdles, which included a win at Catterick over 3m1f in February, he appeals as the type to progress further now sent over the larger obstacles.

PRESENTING PETE was undone by a bad mistake 4 out at Southwell and is worth another chance given the promise he showed on his first go over fences here before that. Quaresome is interesting on his chase debut, while there is still time for Imperial Rule to get back on track.

The suggestion is PRESENTING PETE, who ran well in defeat on slower-than-ideal ground here on last month's chasing debut.

Both of BEBSIDE BANTER's victories have come at Sedgefield and the seven-year-old, who gained the first of those on his chasing debut when returning from a break a year ago, is expected to have more to offer in this discipline. Selectivelistening drops back in trip after his recent Hereford second and is more than capable of being in the mix on his first start for a new trainer. Others to note include Dr Shirocco and Into The Sunset.

BEBSIDE BANTER did well over fences last season, winning twice here, including on return, so another big run looks on the cards. Dr Shirocco was in good form over the summer and can go well fresh, so is next best ahead of Selectivelistening, who made a positive start to his chase career at Hereford.

Selectivelistening is respected but THE PADDY PIE might capitalise upon some considerable help from the handicapper.

APPLES MOON made a winning start to life in handicap company at Warwick before filling the runner-up spot at Hereford. Nicky Martin's mare is expected to benefit from stepping up a couple of furlongs in trip and a further 3lb rise doesn't appear likely to stop her. Fine By Her benefited from switching back to hurdles when scoring at Fakenham in June and is expected to be competitive once again. Any market support for Bobbigrey on her handicap debut should be noted.

APPLES MOON is going the right way in handicaps and can make the long journey from Nicky Martin's Somerset base worthwhile. Lenebane has yet to win but has been knocking on the door lately and should be on the premises again. Talysh is a handicap newcomer to note in the betting for a stable which had one with a similar profile win nicely last week.

Nicky Martin's APPLES MOON (nap) found another unexposed mare just too good at Hereford but that was still a good effort.
