12:40 Sedgefield (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AMANCIO should take all of the beating. He won his maiden hurdle at Chepstow in taking fashion last season and almost followed up in this company at Ludlow last time. Jockey Isabelle Ryder negates his penalty courtesy of her 7lb claim and he can get the better of point-to-point winner Idaho Valley. Valette would be interesting if there is money around for her.

Amancio has the best hurdling form but IDAHO VALLEY may handle today's conditions better and is given the vote.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Bathgate has won here before and commands respect, while Kaviar Wood is expected to show improved form now he's sent handicapping. That being said, INFERNO SACREE gets the verdict because he's dropped in class and is beginning to look really well handicapped again off 99. You only have to go back three starts for when he finished second here off 103.

Last year's winner BATHGATE is back on a good mark and hinted at a possible return to form at Kelso recently.

FORMEL PARK has only had the two starts over fences and she didn't let her Ludlow fall knock her confidence as she won over C&D last time. With that first win under her belt, she's taken to kick on and keep progressing. The booking of Brian Hughes is another tick in her box and she can get the better of Huit Reflets and Blended Stealth.

Back in trip for his chasing debut after racing too freely last time, DIXIE COWBOY might be worth chancing.

14:20 Sedgefield (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Harper Valley has won off a higher mark in the past and showed signs of a resurgence when third at Uttoxeter. Monaco Rules remains unexposed off his current mark and could shape well in this lower grade, but AVALON BEACH also has plenty of scope. Chris Grant's inmate opened his account over timber with a markedly improved effort over 2m1f here and should go close returning to this longer trip for his handicap debut.

French hurdle winner MONACO RULES has rather mixed record in Britain, but he posted a good effort at Kelso recently and gets the nod.

LARGY TRAIN won easily over C&D last year and returned to this venue with another fine effort on his latest start. Beaten less than a length into second on that occasion, a 2lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from turning the tables with the winner El Muchacho. The latter will likely give another good account, while the consistent Couldbeaweapon is usually in the mix at this level.

A close second over C&D this month, LARGY TRAIN (nap) can go one better on today's slower ground.

WILLIAM YEATS is taken to make the most of his experience and come out best. He made a promising Rules debut when second over C&D last month and that run should have brought him on a good deal. Donald McCain sent out last year's winner and Laristote should be noted for any market support, while Drakaris is a newcomer to keep an eye on representing Dan Skelton's powerful yard.

Drakaris looks interesting but LARISTOTE is taken to deliver on the promise he showed before falling on his Irish point debut.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
