PLANTAROMA lost little in defeat when finishing runner-up to a potentially smart sort on her hurdles debut at Chepstow last month and, with that experience under her belt, she may prove tough to stop here. Point-to-point winner Idaho Valley shaped with promise when third on his timber bow at Carlisle and he can emerge as the main danger to the selection. Recent C&D runner-up Kingston Narcissus completes the shortlist.

Tom Symonds has his team in form and PLANTAROMA may provide him with another winner on the back of her promising first attempt over hurdles at Chepstow last month. Kingston Narcissus can fill the forecast spot here again, with Donald McCain's Idaho Valley next on the list.

Idaho Valley and Kingston Narcissus are players but Chepstow runner-up PLANTAROMA arguably has the most compelling form.

Although his jumping could do with some brushing up, there is no doubting that triple bumper winner TAKT DE TOUQUES possesses a fair amount of ability. The five-year-old was far from disgraced when runner-up on his hurdles bow at Aintree and this looks a suitable opportunity for him to open his account in this discipline. Winning pointer Ridin Solo is a potential improver now racing over 2m4f under Rules and he may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Kalista Love.

Useful bumper winner TAKT DE TOUQUES shaped well when second on his Aintree hurdling debut and is impossible to oppose here. Ridin Solo appeals as the one to chase him home, although newcomer Marquee Lights could also enter calculations, especially if the market speaks in his favour.

Should Takt De Touques fall short in the jumping department again, RIDIN SOLO looks the logical one to capitalise.

Old Page outjumped his rivals when scoring at the 29th time of asking under Rules over C&D last month. David Thompson's charge warrants respect racing off just 2lb higher, but it could be worth taking a punt on the returning EVEQUE. The veteran is only 4lb higher than for his comfortable victory here in January and a break may have freshened him up. Christian Williams' pair Cave Article and Prince Cleni are others to consider and the market should prove informative.

SKYHILL has been given a chance by the handicapper ahead of his return so could be worth chancing at a track where he goes well. The unexposed Cave Article made a decent start in this sphere when third at Wincanton 2 weeks ago and rates the main threat with improvement on the cards.

A hurdles winner off the same mark and after a longer absence, BALLIN BAY may have the beating of Cave Article on this occasion.

CLEAN GETAWAY has been a revelation in recent months, with four consecutive victories over hurdles and fences at this course. Philip Kirby's gelding is reverting to timber off a 2lb lower mark than his chase win here 10 days ago and the five-timer is on. Foster's Fortune was narrowly denied by a subsequent scorer over C&D last month and another good account can be expected, despite a 5lb rise making life more difficult. Lightening Company arrives fit from the Flat and is also worth a second look.

CLEAN GETAWAY's purple patch showed no sign of stopping when bringing up the 4-timer over fences here 10 days ago and, able to operate from his lower mark back in this sphere, he looks sure to make another bold bid. Lightening Company, back over hurdles, and another in-form sor, Foster's Fortune can provide the lead threats.

Preference is for LANGTON WOLD (nap), who was placed behind Clean Getaway and another dual subsequent winner over C&D last month.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Imperial Rule has to be of interest following his two wins last month, but a new career-high mark demands more from him. With that in mind, preference is for TREATY BOY, who put in a promising effort when third at Carlisle last time and he arrives here 1lb lower. Pure Surf and The Paddy Pie are others who are capable of going well.

TREATY BOY bounced back to form when third at Carlisle last month and makes most appeal in a tricky-looking contest. Imperial Rule and Hazard Collonges can also make their presence felt.

This can go to IMPERIAL RULE who should have another race in him off this mark. The main danger can come from Pure Surf.

LADY KLUCK was well held when filling third place on her Rules debut at Ludlow in October, but that was still a promising effort. Dan Skelton's filly won between the flags in Ireland earlier in the year and it would be no surprise to see her play a leading role here. Gallant Approach merits consideration on his return to action, while any market support for Noble George would have to be noted.

Not a strong bumper, so point-winner LADY KLUCK may well get it right this time having shaped well from an unpromising position at Ludlow in October. Newcomer Belpasso is interesting.

Irish point winner LADY KLUCK made a rather underwhelming rules debut in October but she has plenty of scope to build on that effort.
Ths is the racecard key.
