MOUNT SINAI is expected to bounce back on her first try in these calmer waters. The grey mare has somewhat lost her way on her last couple of starts in beginners chases. However, her chasing debut at this venue was encouraging and a return to that kind of form should see her prove successful here. A previous winner of this race in 2023, Must Meet Cecil provides a solid option, especially in this grade where he has recorded most of his victories. The seven-year-old gelding has recently moved back to Cian Collins' and his last run, in a competitive Galway handicap, can be forgiven. Oh So Charming completes the shortlist.

A chance is taken on OVIDSTOWN HILL who ran his best race to date in a maiden hurdle over this C&D last time out

EYE OF A TIGER looks to break her duck at the fourth attempt after three solid placed efforts. John Ryan's charge arguably went for home too soon on her last start at Kilbeggan and just got swallowed up after the last, but this forward-going daughter of Lauro has plenty of speed which should suit this track along with the more sympathetic straight. Doyentoseeyou is one to watch on debut and any market moves beforehand would be of interest, while Whispering Hopes appears best of the remainder.

This looks a gilt-edged opportunity for EYE OF A TIGER to get off the mark at the fourth attempt

Gordon Elliott appears to have found an ideal opportunity for the consistent CHORTAL to get his head in front again. The Golden Horn gelding chased home the exciting Davy Crockett at Galway and looks to avail of both the four-year-old allowance and Finn Brickley's 7lb claim. Spick And Span finally broke her duck at the 20th attempt and the well-bred daughter of Walk In The Park could kick on from that success. Huntsgrove and Spy renew rivalries after a recent close finish at Ballinrobe and the former may be able to reverse placings, especially if he can improve his jumping.

A few of these are going in the right direction including SPICK AND SPAN who is taken to back up a career best last month

CHANCER DANCER aims to build on her latest impressive success and double her overall career tally. Noel Kelly's charge scored by eight and a half lengths, beating a subsequent winner comprehensively, and she may well have more to offer. Torquay Road can continue his consistent string of efforts. The form of his last two starts are working out well as he has finished near recent Galway winner Jerrari. Michael McNiff's runners are always of interest at this venue and his duo of Colorado Charlie and Moulane West certainly catch the eye, with the former just marginally preferred. An eye must also be kept on the market regarding Eastmore.

C&D winner TORQUAY ROAD looks worth chancing having shaped like a return to form could be imminent in recent starts

VROOMVROOMBOO wasn't beaten far when third in a competitive mares' handicap at Cork most recently and looks the one to be with as she drops back into maiden company. Emily In Paris won this in 2023 and is back after failing to get home over further here last month. She can go well, but the vote goes to GREAT OCEAN. In a bid for a C&D hat-trick, CORNMARKET (nap) looks like the one with just an 8lb rise for a dominant course success latest
