An opening Flat mark of 63 proved to be lenient for recent Catterick scorer AN BRADAN FEASA and there should be more to come. Reverting to Tapeta and a 5lb penalty shouldn't prevent another bold bid from Jack Jones' gelding, with the biggest threat forecast to emerge from Return With Gold. The three-year-old receives a handy weight-for-age allowance and he isn't taken lightly. Persian Phoenix is the pick of the remainder.

Ollie Pears's RETURN WITH GOLD (nap) hasn't looked back since handicapping and can bag a second win.

Having found only a promising Godolphin colt too strong on his seasonal debut at Yarmouth earlier this month, Palazzo Blu is likely to give another good account. However, the three-year-old may have to play second fiddle once more as FOXLIGHT is slightly more compelling. Ian Williams' inmate supplemented his opening victory in a Lingfield bumper when making an equally impressive Flat debut at this venue. Fellow last-time-out winner Harpsichord also warrants respect.

Marco Botti's Saxon Warrior colt PALAZZO BLU can take another step forward now he goes over 1m4f and quickly resume winning ways here

Lednikov must enter the reckoning after making all over a furlong shorter here and a 4lb penalty is unlikely to prevent him from going close again. However, the form of THIS TIME MAYBE's narrow defeat over C&D looks slightly stronger and Mark Usher's gelding edges the verdict. Dan Horsford has his string in good heart at present and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Nivelle's Magic step up on her fifth-placed reappearance.

Lednikov is feared but FOREST HAZE gets the vote in the hope she can build on an encouraging stable debut.

Ollie Sangster introduces a notable filly in the shape of WHISPERWOOD, who is a half-sister to a couple of winners and, as a February foal, she could be forward enough to make the trip from her Wiltshire-based yard worthwhile. Others to keep an eye on include Acceptance and Lady Cassien, who are nicely-bred types to consider, while Havana Beach won't need to be anything special to get the better of her stable companion Coul Jane, based on the latter's debut run.

The shortlist comprises WHISPERWOOD, Acceptance and Lady Cassien who look best of the debutantes.

This isn't much deeper than the classified event Brinton won at Wolverhampton last month and the C&D winner appeals now bidding for a first career success in a handicap. However, some wily characters are in opposition, with none appealing more than course specialist MASHAM MOOR, who bids for a fourth track-and-trip triumph from a feasible rating. Quick Away is also high on the list as she reverts to Tapeta.

A mile is surely a better sort of fit for CROWD QUAKE and he earns the vote ahead of old rivals Brinton and Quick Away.

Dependability counts for plenty at this level and FIFTY SENT can continue to pay his way after a tenacious effort to win over a potentially inadequate 7f here at the start of this month. The manner in which he won that race suggests returning to a mile could be beneficial and, with Amie Waugh's 3lb claim a handy asset, another bold showing looks likely. Dash Power and Back From Dubai are other solid options, while Specialist View has some each-way appeal returning after wind surgery.

In an unappealing race a chance is taken on MR SLICKER getting back to winning ways. Back From Dubai is next best.

ADVERSARY looks the one to beat on the back of a career-best effort at Kempton, where he was only denied in a head-bobbing finish. The Clive Cox-trained gelding is preferred to Mwafaq, who ran a highly encouraging race when upped to a mile on his handicap debut, making the frame at Redcar. Classic Cause and Dovey Moon may also have a say in proceedings.

A maiden handicap in all but name. ADVERSARY, who went very close last time, is the suggestion ahead of Mwafaq.

HARDY BLOKE ended last season in consistent form and this appeals as an ideal opportunity on his return. Shay Farmer taking off a valuable 7lb is a major plus and he may have too much for Scotland The Brave, who disappointed at Newcastle but is better judged on February's success at the same track. Ex-Willie Mullins inmate Immelmann should be monitored for market support on his first run for shrewd connections.

Another chance is given to SCOTLAND THE BRAVE, who may still have more to offer in handicaps. Dreams Adozen is second pick.
Ths is the racecard key.
