11/2(+31%) | (2) Beny Nahar Road 11/2, Ideally suited by trip when scored by a neck off 104 over 2m3f at Sedgefield penultimate start; not disgraced last time; track should suit; thereabouts if getting stiff test Backed up his game Sedgefield win in April but keeping-on third at Hexham last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (11/2 +45%)Neigh Botha |
11/2(+45%) | (5) Neigh Botha 11/2, Comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time; goes well here; down in trip; off a short-break; vulnerable in this grade C&D winner; below form over hurdles last time but previously gave good account over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (3/1 +14%)Harel Du Marais |
3/1(+14%) | (1) Harel Du Marais 3/1, Well treated at weights when scored by 5l off 100 here in March; second beaten 2l off 107 last time where conceded first run; consistent; goes well here; not out of it Dual C&D winner for new stable in March and still in good form; likely contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (5/1 -67%)Jaitroplaclasse |
5/1(-67%) | (6) Jaitroplaclasse 5/1, Below par second beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee latest where did plenty early; not proven trip; needs stiff test to figure Second to a revitalised subsequent winner last month; big player off same mark here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (9/4 -13%)Delpotro |
9/4(-13%) | (4) Delpotro 9/4, Improved when landing a handicap by 7 1/2l off 97 at Sedgefield last time aided by late faller; remains well treated on French form; can follow up Opened British success with ready win from the front at Sedgefield last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (14/1 -75%)Gower Prince |
14/1(-75%) | (3) Gower Prince 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Ffos Las latest where race came too soon; inconsistent; dangerous if allowed easy lead but competition up front here In front before last-fence fall at Chepstow two starts ago but has since performed poorly. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A runner-up over these fences a fortnight ago, Harel Du Marais is holding his form well and has solid claims once again. However, DELPOTRO has eased in the weights and made every yard when returning the emphatic winner at Sedgefield. He offers the prospect of further improvement and Charlie Longsdon's five-year-old is taken to defy a 7lb rise. Beny Nahar Road is preferred to Jaitroplaclasse of the remainder.

The suggestion is JAITROPLACLASSE, who probably faced an impossible task when second to a heavily backed rival at Bangor last month.

1st (4) (7/4 +61%)Do No Wrong |
7/4(+61%) | (4) Do No Wrong 7/4, Won this last year; won a point at Witton Castle by 10l last time; significant jockey booking; going well when falling on last chase run in autumn; very interesting Won this in 2024 and returns to racing under rules after comfortable open point win in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/10 -38%)Bective Abbey |
11/10(-38%) | (1) Bective Abbey 11/10, Landed a handicap by a length off 114 over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time; second run after wind op; not proven trip; more to come now chasing judged on point win; chance Won on handicap hurdle debut in April and switches to chasing with significant potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(-18%) | (3) Jimmy The Digger 13/2, Game second beaten 4l in a hunter chase at Ludlow latest; track could suit better here; well treated on old form; significant jockey booking; threat back in a handicap Kept on well for second in a hunter chase in April but this 12yo is inconsistent nowadays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (8/1 -33%)Ali Star Bert |
8/1(-33%) | (5) Ali Star Bert 8/1, Ideally suited by trip when scored by 3 1/2l off 102 over 3m2f here penultimate start; pulled up in a handicap chase latest where didn't handle track; down in trip; likes it here; vulnerable in this grade Pulled up at Fakenham last month but has pretty good record at this track. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BECTIVE ABBEY was having his first outing after wind surgery when successful in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las. Nicky Henderson wastes no time in sending his unexposed charge over the larger obstacles and the seven-year-old can defy a 5lb rise in this lower grade. Do No Wrong returned the ready winner of this contest last year. He's a strong contender with Brian Hughes on board, while Jimmy The Digger is preferred of the other two.

Last year's winner DO NO WRONG returned from a layoff with a good point win last month and is taken to follow up.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (28/1 +30%)Take A Glance |
28/1(+30%) | (4) Take A Glance 28/1, 4l third in a conditions race over 2m4f at Hexham P-T-P Course most recent run; cheekpieces first time; back in trip; outsider on rules debut 0-5 in maiden points and makes only limited appeal on this rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6/1(+20%) | (7) For Love Of Beauty 6/1, Well beaten in a maiden bumper at Fakenham only start where poorly placed at sharp track; could improve but bit to find Raced too freely when fifth of nine at Fakenham but that run was not devoid of promise. |

66/1(-200%) | (6) Dyadoras Destiny 66/1, Telescope filly; half-sister to Choice Of Words, very useful at 19f; yard has gone a while without a NH winner; best watched Half-sister to a fairly useful Irish hurder; stable not prolific in bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (66/1 -65%)Serenarella |
66/1(-65%) | (9) Serenarella 66/1, 3,000 euros Vadamos filly; full-sister to Hey Buddy, smart at 16f; likely to need this initial experience Out of an unraced sister to smart hurdler Cinders And Ashes; stable quiet in bumpers. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A bumper winner between the flags, LADIES DAY finished a respectable third under rules at Warwick last month. The daughter of Yeats will be a lot wiser for that experience and Jack Andrews' 3lb allowance further helps her cause. Plumpton fourth Hard Market is a likely improver fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time, while Georgie's Malt showed some promise at Hexham without threatening the winner and could shape well.

The vote goes to GEORGIE'S MALT, who wasn't beaten far at Hexham last month and is probably in a slightly weaker race here.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (22/1 -144%)Zafaan |
22/1(-144%) | (3) Zafaan 22/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Fakenham last time; off a short-break; more needed to defy stiff looking opening mark Placed on first two hurdling starts but not obviously well treated for this handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

15/8(+53%) | (4) Wasthatok 15/8, Well treated at weights beaten 3 1/2l off 102 at Ludlow last time; usually held up; well treated on old Irish form; in the mix Chased home Zucayan at Ludlow last month; might turn the tables with him here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (66/1 -65%)Knight Of Magic |
66/1(-65%) | (7) Knight Of Magic 66/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle at Catterick most recent; progressive prior; returning from a break; probably best watched Lowly rated Flat maiden; yet to show anything more than glimmers of hurdling promise. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ZUCAYAN appeared to have a bit in hand when winning over 2m at Ludlow a few weeks ago and the eight-year-old merits plenty of respect off just 5lb higher here. Zenato is a stablemate of the selection and won a maiden hurdle at Fakenham last month. With the promise of more to come, he edges out Wasthatok to be best of the rest.

Zucayan was too good for WASTHATOK (nap) at Ludlow last month but this change of venue ought to suit the latter better.

5/1(+50%) | (7) Tchoupinminzac 5/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; form tailing off; not proven trip; bit to find Well beaten in two handicaps in April but booking of Sean Bowen catches the eye here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (20/1 0%)Chief O'hara |
20/1(0%) | (1) Chief O'hara 20/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 3m2f at Sligo latest rules run; point winner since; not proven trip; more needed Left clear to win a maiden point last month but the form is probably not worth much. |

DON VIRGINIA arrives here on the back of two seconds in similar contests at Hereford in recent months and it would be no surprise to see him go one better in this company. That said, Maggies Boy has also been running well in defeat of late and should not be underestimated. Others to note are Built By Rossies, Delgany Bobby Blue and Tchoupinminzac.

The pick is BUILT BY ROSSIES, who won a British point on her latest outing and has a good chance here if judged on Irish hurdle form.

|PU| (10) (66/1 -32%)Even Break |
66/1(-32%) | (10) Even Break 66/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Uttoxeter last time; generally out of form; blinkers first time; bit to find Well beaten over fences in first two handicaps; headgear added for handicap hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (150/1 -50%)Top Drawer |
150/1(-50%) | (13) Top Drawer 150/1, Looked regressive 47l third in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow most recent run; not proven trip; difficult to fancy Remote when third of four at Ludlow (3m, good) and now 0-22; can't be recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In a moderate event the clear pick is AAZZA, who won twice before filling second place at Bangor last time. The in-form mare has another 3lb rise to contend with here, but the nine-year-old should be capable of defying that in this company. Zarhanya remains unexposed and may benefit from this step up in trip, while Rubies Or Gold and Champetre complete the shortlist.

Topweight AAZZA has been back in prime form this spring and is taken to record her third win of the year.
Ths is the racecard key.
