14:15 Southwell (Class 6) 4f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Irish Dancer, who is due a 3lb rise after last week's Thirsk success, has undoubtedly been in better form than DANDY FITZ of late and commands respect. However the latter is now 9lb better off with his old rival than from when they clashed over 5f at Catterick in May and, as a previous C&D winner, the Tim Easterby-trained four-year-old looks worth a punt back here on these terms. Newyorkstateofmind is dangerously well handicapped and also warrants consideration.

The return to Tapeta should be in the favour of DANDY FITZ (nap) and he's fancied to prove too strong for Newyorkstateofmind.

14:50 Southwell (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Officially rated 83, BYBLOS is suggested as the first one to consider. A half-brother to Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Siskin, he would be giving weight away all-round if this were a handicap. Although he could only manage fourth on his return/first run since being gelded at Newmarket a fortnight ago, that was a much stiffer test and it would be surprising if the son of Frankel cannot build on it here. Frank Stamper and Si Solus can fight it out for the runner-up slot.

Byblos sets a useful standard but FRANK STAMPER shaped well in a hot Wolverhampton novice on debut and may improve past him.

15:25 Southwell (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Woodleigh is due a 1lb rise after a good second over 7f at Catterick on his debut run for Roger Fell and commands respect. However, EMBARKED, a course winner off 15lb higher last September, is notably well handicapped and is fancied to shrug aside a nominal 3lb nudge after last month's 1m win at Doncaster. Others to monitor in the betting include Spirit Of Bowland, Aspire To Glory and Prefer The Sister, who all boast decent all-weather form.

This is wide open but SUNDAY BELLE might be worth chancing after a Wolverhampton run that was more promising than the figures suggest.

16:05 Southwell (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A return to class 6 company proved just the trick for recent Doncaster winner Lumenbourg and he cannot be dismissed in his current vein of form. However, a 6lb higher mark demands another career-best performance from the four-year-old and TEA SEA is slightly more compelling. Tony Carroll's charge has filled the runner-up spot on his last two outings and compensation could be on the cards. Cancan In The Rain is the pick of the rest.

With the Patrick Chamings team going well the vote goes to THURSDAY'S CHILD, who caught the eye at Kempton last time.

16:40 Southwell (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LEAP DAY bounced back to form with a good runner-up effort at Thirsk last month and, racing off an unchanged mark, he ticks plenty of the right boxes. The five-year-old landed his sole victory at this track and could be poised to double his tally. The returning Mercurius Power ended his winter campaign with a close-up second over a furlong further here and he would make more appeal over further. With that in mind, a bigger threat may emerge from the in-form Harbour Vision.

Vibrato is dangerously well treated on last winter's form returned to AW but narrow preference is for ROCKSTAR ICON.

17:15 Southwell (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Running off a rating off 54, HOUDINI MISS, Sunniva and Indigo Sierra jointly set a modest standard. However, the first-named has some course experience and as she is bred to appreciate stepping up to 7f, the James Horton-trained filly could be the one to side with based on her potential for a step forward. Harswell River has also shown enough promise to suggests he could have an impact in a weak event such as this.

A weak race in which the unexposed HOUDINI MISS is preferred to Harswell River.

17:50 Southwell (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HAAZEEZ went down fighting when beaten by just a head in a 0-75 handicap at Doncaster last month and won't need much of a step forward to swing this one his way, with a 3lb rise noted as fair. The consistent Boyne Lady rates a big danger to the selection based on her close second to a 74-rated opponent the last time she was tried over 6f. Macedonian and Style King are other key players.

Haazeez is the one to beat after last week's fine second but BOYNE LADY could be the answer returned to 6f.
