WEST ACRE made an eye-catching winning debut at Newcastle last month before posting a respectable second-placed finish over 6f under a penalty at Kempton 22 days ago. With those experiences to draw upon, further success is attainable with Liam Wright's 5lb claim a notable asset on these terms. Hamilton winner Thecla can also go well if, like the selection, she copes with dropping back to the minimum trip. Elland Road Girl is open to progression but needs to march on from what she has shown so far.

Preference is for NAHI, who showed plenty of speed over a longer trip at Kempton earlier this month and remains with potential. West Acre and Thecla rate the principal dangers.

The return to 5f on Tapeta looks ideal for WEST ACRE and he can confirm recent Kempton superiority over Nahi.

RESERVARDO is best treated at these weights and, despite a slightly disappointing effort on soft ground at Sandown last time, the son of Profitable rates the one to beat. There should also be more to come from Kalahari Blue, who seems to be getting better with each start and rates a key player after her near-miss at Nottingham most recently. Target Man is another appealing option cutting back in trip.

If RESERVARDO can recapture the form he showed on his first 2 outings he should prove a tough nut to crack. This is a drop in grade for Beauty Queen and she's second choice ahead of Nottingham runner-up Kalahari Blue.

Open to improvement having needed her debut, STEP ALONG is chanced in a competitive novice. Reservardo is second choice.

MEHMO is an attractive proposition from just 4lb above his last winning mark on turf. The Michael Appleby-trained six-year-old has won off higher in the past and his proven C&D effectiveness could be key. Havechatma won over track and trip 16 days ago and is also feasibly treated off just 4lb higher. Exceed is a further interesting option with cheekpieces tried for just the second time, while Howzak shouldn't be underestimated either.

MEHMO should strip fitter for last week's Nottingham run after 5 months off and will be a lot closer to form here. He's won over C&D in the past and can do so again, with Havechatma, who won well here last time, and Beneficiary.

This has always been HOWZAK's time of year and he gets the nod ahead of Havechatma, who's drawn next door.

There are a few interesting newcomers here, Yamarhaba Malayeen and Mdawi to name a couple, but experience may come to the fore. Plenty went wrong for EPIMETEO on debut at Brighton and he did remarkably well to finish third. That experience won't have been lost on the son of Time Test and he makes slightly more appeal than Flagon Dry and Bulletin, who have both performed well on Wolverhampton's Tapeta surface.

EPIMETEO made a promising start at Brighton and should go well with improvement on the way. Mdawi and Yamarhaba Malayeen are interesting newcomers for leading yards and the betting may help sort things out.

Flagon Dry and EPIMETEO appeal most, with the latter perhaps open to the greater improvement.

It would come as no surprise if Kaleidoscope Eyes improves for a stable switch, while Cassandraalexandra needs to prove herself on the all-weather but has every chance on her best turf form. Lift Lady also looks to have a squeak equipped with first-time cheekpieces, but RUBY RASCAL gets the nod. Joseph Parr's filly produced her best effort yet when half-a-length second at Chelmsford most recently and a similar level of performance could see her get off the mark.

A few in with chances but having looked limited previously, RUBY RASCAL shaped well upped to 7f when finishing runner-up at Chelmsford last month, arguably unlucky not to score given she had to wait for a gap early in straight. She can get the better of Kaleidoscope Eyes, who hasn't shown a great deal so far but has joined a yard which excels with such types now switched to all-weather. Cassandraalexandra and Lift Lady can do battle for third.

A weak race in which IGNITION may be able to leave his maiden and novice runs behind him. Kaleidoscope Eyes is feared most.

HOW IMPRESSIVE was pretty impressive when scoring over this trip at Chelmsford last week and, with Joe Leavy's claim cancelling out part of the 5lb penalty, he could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Cancan In The Rain has struck the crossbar on his last couple of starts and is likely to be in the shake-up once again, while Finbar's Lad also merits consideration.

HOW IMPRESSIVE was successful over C&D off an identical mark earlier in the year and is taken to add to last week's comfortable Chelmsford win. Cancan In The Rain has been knocking on the door this autumn, including here, and is second choice ahead of Vince Lombardi.

How Impressive and Vince Lombardi are solid contenders but ELIGIBLE loves it around here and he's handicapped to win.

The application of blinkers and return to the all-weather helped Ravenglass arrest a downward spiral at Wolverhampton last week, although the form may not amount to much. He still warrants consideration, while True Blue Gent and Autumn Angel each served notice their turn could be near with placed efforts at Kempton and Bath respectively. The penny appears to be dropping for Emerald Army but another chance is given to AJRAD, who could never get competitive at Windsor but had previously made a fine start to life with Rod Millman.

TRUE BLUE GENT was headed only close home at Kempton last time and is taken to belatedly get off the mark. Tony Carroll's Autumn Angel won off 10 lb higher here at the start of the year and is second choice ahead of last week's Wolverhampton scorer Ravenglass.

The return to Southwell should suit Urban Dandy but MOREGINPLEASE lurks on dangerous mark and is tentatively preferred.

It isn't that surprising William Haggas has decided to drop TRIUMPH OF PEACE back to 6f because she showed plenty of pace when breaking her duck at Salisbury. Kept to 7f for her handicap debut at Thirsk, she had to settle for third but the winner has since given the form a boost by holding her own in Listed company. A lot better was expected from El Bufalo at Wolverhampton and there will be supporters who keep the faith, especially now he steps up from 5f. Justcallmepete, True Promise and Rock Opera are also considered.

ASIMOV has had a good campaign and was better than the result at Kempton last time so can resume winning ways in a change of headgear. Justcallmepete and Rock Opera are feared.

Asimov should benefit from the return to 6f but ROCK OPERA (nap) could find this being run to suit and can gain a second C&D win.

EARLY MORNING DEW took two runs following a lengthy absence to get back in the swing of things but he has won twice since August, most recently justifying favouritism at Chelmsford last week. He is 1lb below his revised figure under his penalty and can take advantage. Tees George swatted aside his Beverley rivals with ease and Hollie Doyle keeps the partnership intact. Sarmiento Power is interesting back on the all-weather, with fellow Newmarket raiders Royal Praise and Francesi in with a shout too.

EARLY MORNING DEW is really motoring now and can follow up last week's Chelmsford victory. Tees George forged clear under Hollie Doyle at Beverley and can go well again despite an 8 lb hit. Sarmiento Power is lightly raced for his top connections and could do better back on AW.

Sarmiento Power still has time to do better but EARLY MORNING DEW comes here on the up and can defy a penalty for last week's win.
Ths is the racecard key.
