|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (11/4 +21%)Valence D'aumont |
11/4(+21%) | (7) Valence D'aumont 11/4, Had every chance and ran to form when 15l third in a 2m5f handicap chase at Market Rasen last time; effective around 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent. Didn't run badly at Market Rasen this month but needs to kick on again here. |

66/1(-200%) | (4) Iddergem 66/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a 2m handicap hurdle at Hereford last time; returning from a long layoff and may be competitive. Well beaten all three hurdle starts for current stable; makes chase debut after layoff. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VALENCE D'AUMONT was well beaten into third at Market Rasen earlier this month, but is now 2lb lower and takes a drop in distance. The veteran competes off a career-low rating and looks the way to go. Jack Doyen is only 2lb higher than his last winning mark and warrants a market check on his return to action, while Rehill Relic is another to consider.

Last year's third ONEWAYORTOTHER didn't run as badly as the bare facts suggest last time and has slipped to a good mark.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/1 +0%)Inedit De Mee |
5/1(+0%) | (1) Inedit De Mee 5/1, Ran to form when finishing 12l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Lingfield on his latest outing. Returns from a long layoff, effective over 2½m and suited by cut. Progressive over fences and well treated on French hurdle form. |PU| (4) (16/1 -100%)Luminaries |
16/1(-100%) | (4) Luminaries 16/1, Improved effort when 11l third in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Newcastle last time, not given the strongest ride. Effective from 2½m to 3m and progressing over fences. On a good mark based on hurdle form. Four-time hurdle winner; not an instant success over fences but ran quite well last month. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KING OF CONG produced a better effort in first-time cheekpieces when second at Hexham on his latest outing and may have more to offer on just his sixth chase start. The seven-year-old remains on a workable rating and gets the vote ahead of Queens Wish, who returns to this sphere after her third at Huntingdon over hurdles. Frankie Faulkner finished second at Ffos Las last month and also has a chance.

Sam England's KING OF CONG (nap) responded well to cheekpieces and ran very much as though his turn is near at Hexham recently.

Effective from 2m to 2m4f on good to soft ground; still progressing. Recovered well from last-flight error to win on recent handicap debut; can progress again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (7/1 -17%)Havefunontherun |
7/1(-17%) | (1) Havefunontherun 7/1, Improved from his debut when fourth, beaten 5 1/4l in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective at 2m on a sound surface and looks progressive; should remain competitive on handicap debut. Won run-of-the-mill Worcester maiden in May; probably needs to improve to defy topweight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (12/1 +45%)Jacques Clouseau |
12/1(+45%) | (4) Jacques Clouseau 12/1, Outclassed and well beaten in a novice hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Effective over 2 1/2m, and while the drop in grade helps, more will be needed to defy this opening mark. Displayed clear promise in two maidens last season; can improve in handicaps this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/1 -17%)Diamond Koda |
7/1(-17%) | (3) Diamond Koda 7/1, Outpaced and had too much to do but stayed on to finish 1 1/2l behind off 107 at Fakenham last time. Effective at 2 1/2m on good ground; consistent but can prove frustrating. Very consistent last season but 0-9 over hurdles; others have more potential. |

5th (6) (10/3 +5%)Moab |
10/3(+5%) | (6) Moab 10/3, Won by 4l off 57 over 1m6f here three starts back, then ran to form when second beaten a length off 104 last time. Effective at 2m; looks fairly treated and in good form, with a longer trip likely to suit. Won on Flat last month and was clear second on recent hurdle return; must be considered. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Havefunontherun was unable to carry his penalty to victory when fourth at Newton Abbot last month, but that was still a fair effort and he remains of interest on handicap debut. However, NAZARE struck by over a length at Market Rasen recently and is likely to have more to come on just his second outing in a handicap. Off just a 5lb higher rating, the son of Masterstroke looks the one to beat. Moab completes the shortlist.

James Owen's NAZARE finished well to score on his handicap debut at Market Rasen and could still be on a good mark after a 5lb rise.

16/1(+27%) | (5) Nosy Neighbour 16/1, Produced only a modest effort when fourth beaten 23l in a maiden over 3m at Monksgrange last time. Hard to recommend on that evidence. Shaped with promise in two Irish points in February/March; market helpful on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/2 -80%)Media Mogul |
9/2(-80%) | (3) Media Mogul 9/2, Made mistakes but shaped with promise on debut, making his challenge too soon when fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Trainer in form and generally consistent; should improve for that initial experience. Fair Flat racer; good start to hurdling career when close fourth at Huntingdon this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (150/1 +25%)Saint Polo |

100/1(+33%) | (10) Son Of Tyran 100/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle here last time. Likely to want further than 2m and looks the type to fare better in handicaps. Well beaten at triple-digit odds in three novice/maiden hurdles this autumn. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This maiden hurdle looks to be between Media Mogul, Next Twist and PRECIOUS METAL. The latter gets the nod on the basis that he won a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last season and is entitled to have improved plenty for his seasonal/hurdling debut at Stratford last month. Next Twist is tried in a first-time hood and heads the list of dangers from Huntingdon fourth Media Mogul.

Olly Murphy's NEXT TWIST has about 5l to find with Precious Metal on recent Stratford form but can improve if he settles better.

|F| (3) (4/1 +38%)Johnny Boom |
4/1(+38%) | (3) Johnny Boom 4/1, Returned to form, benefitting from a strong pace after missing the break to land a handicap by 3l off 64 over 12f at Leicester last time. A value selection based on the balance of his form. Returned from layoff with Flat win last month; back hurdling on good mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It's surely just a matter of time before LITTLE VENICE opens her account over hurdles. An improved second at Uttoxeter a couple of starts ago, she proved that was no fluke when going even closer at Leicester last week and compensation awaits. Platenium and Hello Sweety aren't without claims if their latest mishaps haven't knocked their confidence or left a mark.

The suggestion is SECRET VINO, who kept on well for fourth behind a subsequent Cheltenham winner on last month's handicap debut.

9/2(+18%) | (6) East Eagle 9/2, Outpaced but hinted at revival when beaten 6l in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Wetherby last time. CAPTAIN TRIGGER can send his supporters home smiling in the finale. He has really improved since sent handicapping this season and connections have found their gelding a winnable opening on the back of a pair of seconds at Huntingdon. The others really need to step up on recent form, but C&D winner East Eagle and Ruler Legend are the pick of them.

This could be a very good opportunity for CAPTAIN TRIGGER, who came second in a 16-runner Huntingdon handicap this month
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
