12:52 Southwell (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Bluesman is an intriguing contender on his stable/handicap debut in a first-time tongue-tie and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the market. Kayce Dutton failed to supplement his Market Rasen victory when only fifth on his return here, and it may pay to side with AS LEGENDS HAVE IT. The six-year-old made the frame over hurdles in a warm handicap at Cheltenham and could prove even better over fences.

Placed in a big-field handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last month, AS LEGENDS HAVE IT could be hard to beat on his chasing debut.

13:22 Southwell (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LIVY'S LAD made the perfect start for the Nick Gifford stable when victorious over track and trip last month and a 5lb rise might underestimate the level of that performance. This is just his second outing over fences and he looks the one to beat. We Got Your Back rarely runs a bad race and finished over three lengths clear of the third when runner-up at Hexham so he is respected, along with Take Centre Stage.

Not harshly treated by a 5lb rise for last month's C&D win, LIVY'S LAD (nap) could easily have a lot more to offer for his new stable.

13:52 Southwell (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Typhoon Warrior stayed on to finish fourth on his debut at Worcester and may get closer, but the vote goes to THAT'LL BE OXO. The son of Blue Bresil changed hands for 42,000 euros as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to five winners, including useful bumper victor Irish Thistle. Old Habits is another who makes plenty of appeal on paper and Olly Murphy's gelding has to be of interest, especially if the market vibes are strong.

Dan Skelton's TYPHOON WARRIOR gets the nod in the hope he can build upon the promise he showed when fourth at Worcester in October.

LOOPING D'ARC was no match for an impressive winner, but still offered encouragement with his second in a Newbury bumper last month. The four-year-old is likely to want further in time, but this appeals as a decent opportunity to get off the mark on his hurdling bow. Moyganny Phil placed in a couple of point-to-points and commands respect on his Rules debut. Big Wigg, a Huntingdon bumper winner, and Escort'kheops are others to note.

Preference is for BIG WIGG, who darted clear of the others with a subsequent bumper/hurdle winner when winning his bumper in May.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
